Up for auction is my 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 cummins.  I bought this truck brand new, sold it after about 4 years, and then bought it back 2 years ago.  Now I am considering selling it because 4 kids don't fit comfortably in it and I already have a 93 cummins that is my farm truck, so I don't really get to use it as much. I have never had any problems with it, other that within 6 months of buying it the fuel pump in tank went out and had to be replaced. It has 130,100 miles on it, but that may change before end of auction.  It is a 6 speed with a 4:10 rearend.  It is 4 wheel drive and it works, everything works...  I took pictures of it how it is, i'm not going to wax and detail it to trick anybody.  It is a truck and I have used it as a truck. I drove it in snow, on gravel roads, through fields.  I did not tear it up, but i used it how it was meant to be used. It has dents and dings.  It was repainted about 5 years ago and doors replaced d/t signs of rust along bottom of doors.  As far as rust now, there is a few spots coming though on quad doors, center of tailgate, left rear fender has bubble, and right front quarter panel with bubble spot (please see pics, but hard to see with it being red.)  There are no rips in any of seats, interior is very clean.  There are 2 racks in dash, that you prob couldnt see unless i showed you.  I tried to paint the instrument bezel cover but didnt do a very good job and it has one crack in it.  It has a kenwood head unit, its a higher end one, you can get xm and all that stuff if you want on it, but i never hooked it up.  It has the trailer break hookup.  The sunglasses thing snap thing is broke so it wont snap shut.  I have husky floormats it, the weatherproof ones.  Before i forget,  Last winter in a snow storm a chevy cavalier wanted to play chicken, so there is a dent and paint peel in front left fender that I never fixed, had grille guard on it so no other damage, so built new bumper because people are nuts and i have kids.  I was offered $16,000 trade in, and that was letting me take it home and remove all the aftermarket parts, but I'm to lazy to do all that.  This really is a great truck and super reliable, like I said, just no room, i'm sick of shifting, and I never liked having a shortbed. It is a H.O. (high output) motor.  I was going to bed liner spray the lower half of truck to stop any chance of rusting and actually have the stuff to do it, color matches bumper, if you would like it.  Feel free to ask any questions, and if you seriously want to talk, I can give you my phone number.  Please only bid if you are financially able. Buyer responsible for shipping, will not accept personal check, unless you want to wait for it to clear before you take truck, cash preferred.  Must pick up truck within one week of end of auction.  No warranty and sold as is.  Will add info as i think of it.  Would not let me put all pics on I wanted , so please get ahold of me if you want specific pictures. I would guess I have a little over $60,000 in this truck (was $38,000 new) but don't expect to get near that out of it, but it really is a nice truck. Again, please feel free to ask any questions.  Listing it locally, reserve right to end if sold before end of auction.

2 inch leveling kit in front (full coil, not the plastic adaptor)
Bilstein shocks.
MBRP exhaust turbo back

Aftermarket taillights and third brake light.
I have the airbag things for the back too, not on truck and used, but you can have them.

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...

Viper owners raising money to retake the Nurburgring lap record

Thu, Jan 19 2017

Nurburgring lap times – unofficial as they may be – are the locker room comparison contest of the automotive world. For several years, the lap record of 7:12:13 was held by a 2011 Dodge Viper ACR. The Viper and America were the rulers of the roost until the usurper, the Porsche 918, came in a stole the crown. The death knell is ringing for the Viper, and a group of owners are raising money to send the car to the 'Ring for one last chance at glory. The current Dodge Viper ACR is an astonishingly capable car. All of the flaws that make it miserable to live with everyday - stiff suspension, obnoxious exhaust, speed-bump-gouging splitter - make it one of the most formidable road-legal track machines ever created. Unfortunately, that single-purpose nature turned off a lot of customers, and slow sales have led to the end of Viper production. The Viper holds lap records on more than a dozen of tracks, but, like a driver winning the Indianapolis 500, only one belt notch truly matters. The ViperExchange is willing to supply two ACRs and two drivers well versed in the Nurburgring in order to retake the record. The problem with attempting to set the record is mostly down to logistics. According to the GoFundMe page, the total cost to send the cars, pay for the track, the supplies, and operating expenses is about $150,000 and $200,000. The group says this is entirely a volunteer effort and are asking for donations to fund the Viper's return. Those wishing to help replant the stars and stripes and fill the forests of Germany with the truck-like roar of an odd-firing V10 can donate online. If they fall short, donations will be returned. Car that screams on the street of dreams: Cruising Woodward in a Hellcat | AutoblogVR

Tue, Jun 6 2017

If you love cars, you've probably at least heard of the Woodward Dream Cruise. Millions of people make the pilgrimage to Woodward Avenue with thousands of cars every year. Obviously the Dream Cruise is amazing, but you don't need to wait for the official Cruise to experience Woodward. In this episode of AutoblogVR, join Greg Migliore as he drives up and down the street of Dreams in a Dodge Charger Hellcat. Greg starts the drive by talking about how epic his chariot is. The Dodge Charger Hellcat has a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds and a price tag of only $65,945. Of course the Hellcat's true power couldn't be unleashed driving along the historic road, but that didn't dampen Greg's spirits. After all, driving on one of the first patches of paved road in America is a pretty great experience no matter how fast you're going. After giving a bit of a history lesson and explaining the significance of Woodward to the Hellcat specifically, we get to one of the best ways to experience Woodward - tracking down some of the best food! Greg pops in to his favorite pub and gives us a tour, but one pub is just the tip of the iceberg. With all of the culture along the 27-mile span, this road is a must-drive for any car enthusiast. But if you can't make it out, experiencing it in 360° VR is the next best thing. Each month, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll be posting them here on Autoblog, but for the best experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too! Dodge Coupe Performance Videos VR Original Video
