Here is a very clean low mileage 2001 dodge 2500 4x4 quad cab, equipped with the bullet proof 24v Cummins turbo diesel. this truck has under 100,000 miles and runs great fires right up and purrs. this is a second owner truck so it does have some minor dings and scratches. interior is in great shape except for cracks in the dash which is very common for these trucks. this truck has almost all of the steering components replaced from the steering gear box to the intermediate shaft. It has the essential steering brace that eliminates frame flex. New upper ball joints, tie rod ends etc. cold air intake, 4 inch dual exhaust, edge 3 level tuner, 2 inch front leveling kit, gooseneck ball and rails for fifth wheel hitch, electric brake controller. power heated tow mirrors, new windshield, custom tail lights, running lights. And I'm sure I have forgotten a couple of things, but the bottom line is the truck runs amazing and sounds great. the truck was purchased from a dealer who got it from an insurance company due to a theft recovery, so it does have a salvage title, but the truck has a clean car fax with no accidents. I don't know what else to say about this truck, it is great, and the only reason I'm selling is because I am trying to add on to my house and need more money, and I have another truck to pull my camper. so just keep in mind this isn't a new truck, it does have average wear and tear for its age. Dodge and SRT Motorsports announced that the Dodge Dart will be returning for its sophomore season of the Global Rallycross Championship with a two-car team fielded by Pastrana Racing. Travis Pastrana drove his GRC Dart to victory lane in the fourth race of the car's inaugural season, and his race team is looking for even more success with the addition of off-road racer Bryce Menzies behind the wheel of the second car.

Automakers issue recalls all the time. It's part of the cost of doing business. We just assume that once the recall has been carried out, the problem in question has been fixed. But that's not always the case, as this latest investigation being undertaken by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration goes to show. The problem stems back to a recall issued by Chrysler last summer. It revolved rather the sun visor in the SUVs it makes at its Jefferson North Assembly Plant – specifically, the screw affixing the sun visor could end up rubbing against the wiring for the lamp in the vanity mirror, potentially causing an electrical short and even a fire. 62 such short circuits, 38 fires and three injuries reported, prompting Chrysler to recall nearly 900,000 units of the 2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango (over 650,000 of them in the United States). The plastic spacers they installed to rectify the problem, however, may not have done the trick. Eight reports (but none involving injuries) have been filed with the NHTSA regarding the same issue recurring, spurring the government agency to open a new investigation into the matter. If deemed necessary, the NHTSA could ask FCA to issue another recall to fix the issue again, which we may necessitate the installation of a fuze to prevent any such the electric short. The recall was in response to the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) investigation EA14-001 during which data provided by Chrysler indicates that the fire is caused by an electrical short in the vanity lamp wiring for either one of the sun visors mounted on the vehicle. The sun visors are mounted to the roof of the vehicle through the headliner with three metal screws.

Fiat Chrysler picks Google, Samsung for global connected car system

DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler said on Tuesday it will use technology from Alphabet Inc's Google and Samsung to connect all its vehicles by 2022, providing music and video and facilitating future car-sharing and self-driving capabilities. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCA) will use Google's Android operating system globally instead of a mixture of software that varies by region, a spokesman said. The automaker will also use a cloud-based digital platform from Samsung Electronics Co Ltd's Harman unit. Unlike its rivals General Motors and Ford, FCA has spent virtually nothing on developing self-driving vehicle technology. This saves the company large amounts of money, but makes it reliant on outside parties to provide technology and systems. FCA said it will launch the new capabilities in the second half of 2019. The company said the system will aid owners "by predicting maintenance needs, locating fuel and charging stations, receiving traffic prompts and restaurant offers and providing live customer-care assistance at the push of the button."
