SUSPENSION IS ADJUSTABLE AS FAR AS RIDE HIGHTH, IT CAN BE CHANGED FROM ABOUT 18" OF LIFT TO 24" JUST BY CHANGING AIR PRESSURE IN THE BAGS, OR YOU CAN REMOVE SPACERS TO LOWER TO JUST 10" OF LIFT. I HAVE IT PICTURED AT ABOUT 20" OF LIFT AND THATS HOW I BEEN DRIVEING IT. THE STEERING AND TRACK BAR IS FULLY ADJUSTABLE FOR SEVERE RIDE HIGHTH ADJUSTMENT AND ARE BRAND NEW. THE TRUCK DRIVES VERY NICE ESPECIALLY FOR ITS SIZE. THE AXLES ARE THE FACTORY AXLES WITH 5:13 GEARS. TIRES ARE 44" X 21" X 16" INTERCO TRXS ON WELD 14" WIDE RIMS. TIRES ARE ABOUT 50% TREAD. THE MOTOR IS A COMPLETLY FRESH 1998 CUMMINS 12 VALVE P-PUMP WITH A BRAND NEW 125 HP DDP INJECTORS, HX40 TURBO, ALL NEW SEALS, GASKETS, RINGS, BEARINGS ETC. TRANSMISSION IS ALSO FRESH WITH ALL NEW CLUTCH'S, GEARS, SHIFT KIT, TRIPPLE LOCK TORQUE CONVERTER, ETC. BOTH MOTOR AND TRANS ARE BRAND NEW JUST BUILT HERE AT PRECISION DIESEL SERVICE INC. AND HAVE 212 MILES ON THEM SO FAR. TURBO MAKES ABOUT 45 PSI OF BOOST AND MOTOR ONLY HITS 1200* ON EGT'S. DRIVEING DOWN THE ROAD AT 65 MPH THE TRUCK RUNS ABOUT 700* EGT, 10 PSI OF BOOST, 155* TRANS TEMP, AND 1400 RPM. THE PILLAR GAUGES ARE BRAND NEW AUTOMETER DODGE FACTORY MATCH WHITE FACE. BOOST, EGT, AND TRANS TEMP. I HAVE WHITE FACE GAUGE FOR THE FACTORY DASH CLUSTER THAT I HAVENT PUT IN YET. STEREO IS KENWOOD TOUCH SCREEN WITH AN AMP UNDER PASSENGER SEAT, A BUILT IN 12" SUB UNDER CENTER COUNCIL. AND ALL FACTORY SPEEKERS REPLACE WITH KENWWOD SPEAKERS. IM NOT A STEREO GUY SO I DONT KNOW THE SPECIFICS ON THAT STUFF. TRUCK ALSO HAS KEYLESS ENTRY WITH REMOTE START THAT WORKS FLAWLESSLY. BOTH FRONT AND REAR OF TRUCK HAVE A QUICK BOLT IN DROP BUMPERS SO THE TRUCK HAS LEGAL BUMPER HIGHTH FOR MOST ANY STATE (30"). I DID THE BEST WITH PICTURES. I WOULD RATE THE INTERIOR A 91/2 OUT OF 10 AND THE EXTERIOR A 7 OUT OF 10. EXHAUST IS ALL FOUR INCH FROM TURBO TO A LOW PROFILE STACK BOX AND INTO 6" MBRP STAINLESS STACKS. FUEL SYSTEM IS FASS 125 GPH SINGLE FILTER/ WATER SEPERATOR. ITS BEEN RAINING HERE SO I DID MOST PICS IN THE SHOP. THE OUT DOOR PICS MY WIFE HAD TAKEN AFTER I DROVE IT HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME. 2015 Dodge Challenger configurator has all the Hellcat you can dream of
Mon, 08 Sep 2014The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has sucked up a lot of air in the automotive news world this summer, so it's good to know that you can actually go out and, you know, buy the sucker. With 2015 models headed for your local showroom, Dodge has seen fit to also pull the wraps off it's latest Challenger configurator, complete with the supercharged Hemi V8 option that we just can't seem to get enough of.
We're still enamored of the $58,995 starting price for the 707-horsepower SRT, but the online tool finally gives us a chance to see just how optioned up our dream super-muscle coupe can get.
Buyers can choose from three interior treatments and nine paint colors, with two hues (Ivory White and Phantom Black tri-coats) coming for a $500 premium. For $1,795 Laguna Leather SRT bucket seats can be added in place of the (very nice) stock chairs, and a fancier infotaiment system with navigation and HD radio runs $695.
2003-04 Dodge Viper recalled for sudden airbag deployment
Fri, 15 Feb 2013As if driving the old Dodge Viper (not the fancy new SRT model) isn't intimidating enough, imagine trying to wrangle that V10 beast and then suddenly having the airbags deploy. Yikes. That's apparently what could happen to some 3,660 Viper models from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and as such, Chrysler has issued a recall.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, part of the car's airbag control module may fail, causing the bags or seatbelt pre-tensioners to deploy without warning while the vehicle is in operation. That's a dangerous scenario in any car, let alone one offering insane horsepower a near-total paucity of safety nannies should things get squirrely.
Owners will be notified this month about the recall, though a remedy is not expected to be available until later this year. Scroll down for the full NHTSA statement.
NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged
Fri, 23 May 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.
