Hello diesel family and friends, thank you for your faithful following and Happy and blessed new year to everyone,,... my name is Tom my wife and I have been licensed PA new and used DieselTruck dealers since the late 70's and have been involved in diesel trucks as our speciality. We have recently downsized to a small mom and pop operation licensed dealership (2009)here in carlisle PA to sell 2 or so trucks a month, we are small and I do this more for a hobby than anything else.(low overhead low prices)
I know these old cummins diesel trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California,Texas, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast.

Here is one sweet well cared for west coast truck its rustfree and ready to go guys. I flew to Seattle Washington last month to check this 1 owner out and boy was I shocked to see how mint this was with the miles and all. She fires right up no smoke, no blow by, had new rear and front main seals so no oil leaks whatsoever!!! Runs strong, within the past 2 years according to the service history, new automatic tranny overhaul, and new fuel pumps including the VP-44. Good ball joints, I installed a new track bar and alignment. Drives real tight down the interstate. Truck is stock with no chips or programmers, has a leval kit and big exhaust, sounds good and looks great.
The body is completely all 100% orig paint with zero rust, nice straight accident free body, georgous glossey paint clean untouched frame, oil pan and brake lines, these trucks out west stay nice because they don't use salt due to the fish industry, if weather gets bad they use sand which preserves the vehicles, you see old 1970 VW bugs all beat up running around but not all rusty.
Inside the interior its just as nice, non smoker adult owner, no stains, smells, cracking or tears, with all power toys working great. A few notes to consider, please keep in mind although mint condition at the end of the day she is a 13 year old pickup truck with 246K with all original paint since day one so please expect minor wear normal stuff like a few stone chips, tiny parking lot dings, and stuff like that, also tires are safe to ride home and will be ok but figure a fresh set in the near future, thanks |

Chrysler investing $20M in Toledo plant to support 9-speed auto production
Sun, 28 Apr 2013In 2011, Chrysler announced a $72-million investment in its Toledo Machining Plant to modernize production of the eight- and nine-speed torque-converters for automatic transmissions made there. That upgrade work won't be finished until Q3 of this year, but Chrysler has already announced a further $19.6-million investment to increase production capacity for the nine-speeders.
The extra units will be necessary because the nine-speed transmission they'll be mated to is going into three popular models: it will debut on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, then go into the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart. The company predicted that this year alone it would sell 200,000 units equipped with the nine-speed tranny, and it is spending some $374 million in addition to the investment in Toledo to upgrade production capacity for it.
The work attached to this new investment won't begin until Q3 of 2014, and it will be finished by the end of that year. There's a press release below with all the details.
Top torque-to-weight ratios under $100k, $50k and $25k
Tue, 07 Oct 2014Horsepower may steal a lot of headlines, but the always-more-complex torque figure is often a critical one for both the workingman and the motoring playboy. The measure of rotational force represents the twist that can liquefy one's tires or haul one's horse trailer. Good stuff.
It follows then, that as with the horsepower-to-weight list that we assembled for you a few months ago, a list of cars that offer the most pound-feet with the fewest pounds to carry, is an interesting one to break down. Sure, there's a big difference in how the torque is applied from a turbocharged six-cylinder in a Swedish luxury sedan and a massive heavy-duty truck's turbo-diesel. But being the car/stat geeks that we are, we think it's kinda neat that those two vehicles rank near each other where torque and weight intersect.
As with the horsepower list, we've given you figures as pounds per every one pound-foot. Again broken down into broad price categories, we've got a mixed bag of 2014 and 2015 models here, too. Every effort has been made to select the most up-to-date prices and specs, and we've also to omitted some '14 cars that won't be re-upped after the ongoing yearly changeover.
Dodge Durango gets the Blacktop treatment
Sat, 09 Aug 2014The Dodge Durango is getting a meaner, more aggressive look as it becomes the latest model from the brand to wear the Blacktop Appearance Package. The upgrades are strictly cosmetic, but they lend the SUV a more assertive demeanor that some buyers like.
Available on the SXT, Limited and R/T (shown above) models, all Blacktop Durangos get black 20-inch wheels, dual exhaust, bod- color fascia and gloss black trim. The grille surround, air dam, mirrors and headlight surrounds all get the inky treatment, as well. The improvements add $1,590 to the cost of the SXT. They come to $1,990 on the Limited but also include HID headlights with LED running lights and a leather interior. Finally, R/T buyers only need to pay $295 for the upgrades. The Blacktop Durango hits showrooms this October.
If you're already in the market for a Durango but want a dash more style with no added performance, the Blacktop might not be a bad way to go. It certainly gives the SUV a bit more edge than it has in stock form. Scroll down to read the full release.
