Well here it is! I never thought I would get rid of this one, but as we all know things in your life change.
This is my 1974 W-200 Crew Cab Powerwagon which was featured in the August 2012 issue of Mopar Muscle Magazine.
This truck started out as a fire truck at the Talladega Alabama airport and was purchased by a guy in Tennessee who I bought it from with just under 37,000 miles. When I bought it, it had many coats of paint on it, but the original was red. The entire truck was disassembled and media blasted in 2010 and at that time I was amazed that after over 35 years there was absolutely NO rust on this truck anywhere. The truck was repainted with an epoxy primer and Viper Red paint and is still rust free except for a small bubble on the bed by the wheel well. I also installed modern interior from a 2008 Dodge crew cab and even fabricated the storage under the rear seats. The truck was also given a set of new BF Goodrich Mud Terrain 35 x 12.5R 16.5 Tires (they only have about 200 miles on them and I have a 5th tire that has 0 miles) and the engine was taken down to the short block, cleaned, given all new gaskets and re-assembled with a new aluminum manifold, new distributer, air cleaner with cold air intake, Mopar valve covers, Hooker ceramic coated headers, and a Holly Truck Avenger carb. This truck is very clean and enjoyable to drive. It has a 4 speed with a granny gear, but you can still cruise at 70 mph. The truck had the 6" Rough Country lift kit on it when I bought it, I just added the tires. I could never list everything that was done to this truck, but that is the most important stuff. You will also get a lot of extra parts including an extra fuel tank, and the original in cab fuel tank, a good steering wheel with no cracks, the original tires and wheels, a spare windshield, and all the stuff to add A/C (the guy I bought it from stripped down another truck and gave that to me), and much more. my reserve is very low and probably a lot less than what I have in this truck. I also have a ton of photos documenting the entire restoration that I will put on a disc for you and copies of the Mopar Muscle Magazine. I am located just outside Ft. Wayne Indiana. Please feel free to ask any questions. A $1,000.00 deposit is required via pay-pal within 24 hours of auctions end.
This W-200 has a Dana 60 in the rear and a Dana 44 up front with locking hubs and a NP 205 transfer case
On Jun-24-13 at 06:09:08 PDT, seller added the following information:
I just bought new speakers for the JVC stereo, They are still in the box so the stereo is not hooked up
The truck also has a custom exhaust system with Flowmasters and an H pipe.

8 things you learn while driving a cop car [w/videos]
Tue, Jan 27 2015Let me start off with the obvious: it is absolutely illegal to impersonate a police officer. And now that that's out of the way, I'd just like to say that driving a cop car is really, really cool. Here's the background to this story: Dodge unveiled its redesigned 2015 Charger Pursuit police cruiser, and kindly allowed Autoblog to test it. That meant fellow senior editor Seyth Miersma and I would spend a week with the cop car, and the goal here was to see just how different the behind-the-wheel experience is, from a civilian's point of view. After all, it's not technically a police car – it isn't affiliated with any city, it doesn't say "police" anywhere on it, and it's been fitted with buzzkill-worthy "NOT IN SERVICE" magnets (easily removed for photos, of course). But that meant nothing. As Seyth and I found out after our week of testing, most people can't tell the difference, and the Charger Pursuit commands all the same reactions as any normal cop car would on the road. Here are a few things we noticed during our time as wannabe cops. 1. You Drive In A Bubble On The Highway Forget for a moment that our cruiser was liveried with Dodge markings instead of those of the highway patrol. Ignore the large "NOT IN SERVICE" signs adhered around the car. Something in the lizard brain of just about every licensed driver tells them to hold back when they see any hint of a cop car, or just the silhouette of a light bar on a marked sedan. Hence, when driving on the highway, and especially when one already has some distance from cars forward and aft, a sort of bubble of fear starts to open up around you. Cars just ahead seem very reluctant to pass one another or change lanes much, while those behind wait to move up on you until there's a full herd movement to do so. The effect isn't perfect – which is probably ascribable to the aforementioned giveaways that I'm not really a cop – but it did occur on several occasions during commutes from the office. 2. You Drive In A Pack In The City My commute home from the Autoblog office normally takes anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes, and it's a straight shot down Woodward Avenue from Detroit's north suburbs into the city, where I live. Traffic usually moves at a steady pace, the Michigan-spec "five-over" speed.
Dodge Viper returning to Le Mans this year?
Mon, Jan 5 2015If you were among the fans disappointed by Chrysler's recent decision to end the Dodge Viper's racing program, we may have some good news for you, as the racing outfit behind the campaign is reportedly working to bring the American supercars back to Le Mans this year. That racing outfit is Riley Technologies, a constructor perhaps best known for its Daytona Prototypes, but it has also prepared its share of GT racers, too. Chrysler charged Riley with leading its racing program for the new Viper GTS-R, campaigned it in the United SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Auburn Hills made the unfortunate decision back in March to pull its Vipers out of Le Mans, and then in October to withdraw from the US series, as well, thereby effectively ending the program altogether. Disappointed though it surely was, Riley remains defiant. The North Carolina-based company is planning on taking the existing Vipers back to Le Mans on its own, with or without factory support. The Viper has, after all, proven a capable machine, having taken both the drivers' and teams' titles in the United SportsCar Championship this past season. "With Le Mans, every driver and every manufacturer needs to have their first trip there, and it isn't always what you want it to be, but we did show reliability and did have some pace," Bill Riley told Racer.com. "Since then, we've worked hard on the cars, they're now strong, front-running cars in the US, and we're working with the ACO on the BoP to make sure the cars are strong at Le Mans. They're super-reliable and fast, and we'd expect to be right in the mix with the other cars." Riley has kept the existing support staff in place, and once it secures its driver lineup and sponsors, chances look good that it could represent America well at Le Mans this year in either the GTE Pro or GTE Am class. Its predecessor did, after all, complete a three-year winning streak that saw it dominate the GTS class right up until its withdrawal in 2000. Dodge engineers trying to shoehorn Pentastar into Dart?
Tue, 19 Nov 2013The fact that the Dart's launch has been a pretty dismal affair isn't what we'd call secret. Judging by its mounting inventories and poor critical reception, Dodge's successor to its unloved Caliber has struggled since it hit the market. And while both of those are difficult problems to address, at least their cause is well known - the powertrain.
Even Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has acknowledged that the powertrain options in the Dart are substandard, admitting at January's Detroit Auto Show that the powertrains are "less than ideal." Leading with the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Fiat 500 Abarth left a bad taste in the mouths of consumers thanks to the laggy engine and dead throttle response (to say nothing of the manual and dual-clutch gearboxes that needed more refinement). The addition of the 184-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark in the Dart GT has helped matters some, but apparently Auburn Hills doesn't think it's quite enough.
If rumors are to be believed - get that salt ready - a possible solution may be in the works. A report from Allpar is claiming that Dodge is considering fitting a Pentastar V6 into the Dart's engine bay. As the Mopar-obsessed website points out, the critically acclaimed Pentastar is available in three different sizes - 3.0 liters, 3.2 liters and the original 3.6 liters. We don't get the 3.0 here in the US, but the 3.2 can be found in the new Jeep Cherokee and the 3.6 has been seemingly fitted to every model Chrysler can shoehorn it into.
