- Many of you may have seen "Big Blue" (A 1964 WM300 Crew Cab in bright Turquoise) listed last week.
- For those of you who did not, this 1960 W300 was my late Fathers pet project since I was born 42 years ago.
- He spent thousands of hours over 38 years creating it. And it truly reflects his very unique personality.
- PAINT AND TRIM - He went through a chrome stage and this has more chrome than you can imagine! From the Lug Nuts to the Gas Pedal to the head of the Shovel and Axe mounted in the back above chromed Bed Rails.
- He had a paint booth on the shops property and painted this many times until he had it just the right shade and quality. That was done when the engine was out in '85.
- ENGINE - He owned a small shop with some very talented mechanics that took the engine out and rebuilt in 1985. I don't have details on what was done except I know it didn't need the work but since he was going to completely restore it he had the boys down at the shop break it down and rebuild it.
- INTERIOR - The same cobbler that sewed the seats for the '64W300 did the work on the bench, headliner, door panels and carpet and it is the work of true Artist. - (Note: the pictures of the interior look like there are dents - there are NONE - they are reflections only)
- SPECIAL FEATURES -
- 12 volts
- Power Brakes.
- Locking Hubs.
- Late Model Instrument Panel.
- Custom Painted Gas Cans with Script.
- Chromed Shovel and Axe.
- 5yrs New Hardwood Bed and Chrome Bed Rails.
- MOST AMAZING FEATURE - This was never a work truck. It has no rust and has never been off road or run hard. He may have touched up a ding or two but the Truck is so clean and has been since 1960.
- To say my Dad Loved this truck is the biggest understatement I can make. He never stopped fiddling with it and drove only on sunny Sundays on the back roads of rural Oregon.
- If the '64 was his pitbull then this was his Yellow Lab. An Old Faithful that he could always count on to fire right up and take a run to the market or drive in a Parade or Car Show.
- My Father was such a Power Wagon fan that he bought and sold hundreds of them during his life but was never going to get rid of this one. He said there will never be one this nice. He considered this his personal one and it has never been for sale.
- I have been driving it for two weeks now, running non-ethanol gas in it and turning heads and getting compliments everywhere I go.
- I am so proud that my Father took such good care of this truck and to know that he touched and cleaned and painted every inch of it.
- It is a True Beauty and it is my Duty to find someone who wants to keep in their garage another 42 years and care for it as he did.
- Thank you in advance for your interest and I will be happy to answer whatever specific questions you have and take whatever additional pictures you want.
- Sincerely, Brad
- P.S. - Since it is so much work responding to all of the interest in each of these, a little heads up that I will be listing a 1942 WC-56 Command Car, a 1954 Willys Jeep, a very rare right-hand-drive Mitsubishi Jeep, a 1964 Jeep Pickup, a 1952 Dodge M37, a 1957 Dodge 601 open-cab (with enclosed cab/doors as an optional kit) and a Gorgeous 1959 Chris-Craft 18ft Cruiser/Ski Boat that pictures cannot do justice to. I look forward to finding homes for all of them because they are all one-of-a-kinds in that they were hand picked and cared for by a Man that truly appreciated what he had and knew how to care for those treasures with respect.

Coal-rolling Ram dually does tandem beer-shooting burnout with ATV in bed
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Sometimes a video comes around that just makes you shake your head in disbelief. Take for example these guys from Nebraska in their dually diesel flatbed Ram, doing a smoky burnout. Lighting up the tires is nothing new, but these folks take things a step further by having another guy on an ATV in bed that is also smoking the tires. Finally, people are sitting on a couch in the bed taking the whole show in, as beer cans shoot out of the stacks.
There have been several stories recently about the scourge of rolling coal, i.e., diesel trucks modified to lay down a thick, black smoke screen, sometimes for vaguely political reasons. Whatever your opinion is on it, breathing in this much nasty stuff isn't exactly great for your health. Of course, it turns out that burning rubber is pretty awful, too. Both diesel and tire emissions contain cancer-causing Group 1 carcinogens. Combine them with the cigarette smoking here, and these guys are an oncologist's nightmare. Scroll down to take it all in for yourself. Warning, there is a little explicit language.
The Walter P. Chrysler Museum is shutting down permanently this December
Thu, Nov 10 2016It is with disappointment that we report the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, MI, will be closed down permanently at the end of this year. The museum, which closed in 2012 after not being able to cover costs, was recently reopened to the public on alternating weekends starting in June, but Chrysler made the decision to shutter it altogether after its final day of operation on December 18, 2016. The reason for this is primarily because FCA needs more office space, and the company decided to convert the museum for that purpose. The the cars will be moved to storage after the closure, and they'll be shown at various events. However, they'll only be able to be seen together for two more weekends. Those weekends include those of November 19 and 20, and December 17 and 18. The museum will be open from 10 am to 4 pm on those days. If you can, we highly recommend visiting the museum. Adults get in for $10, seniors and retired FCA employees for $8, kids between 6 and 17 for $6, and kids under 5 for free. It also has some fantastic cars including concepts from the 1950s to the 2000s, oddball performance vehicles such as the Omni GLH-S, and of course plenty of fascinating history. And if it makes any difference to you, there's even a purple Plymouth Prowler you can sit in. Just make sure you don't wait too long to make up your mind about visiting. Related Video:
We drive the cars of Furious 7... in Forza Horizon 2 [w/video]
Thu, Apr 9 2015On March 27, Turn 10 Studios, the folks behind the Forza Motorsport series, and Universal Pictures, the studio responsible for the Fast and Furious franchise, gave us a match made in heaven, announcing a "standalone expansion" featuring the two franchises. Called Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious, it features the cars from the latest film installment, unique missions and the voice-acting of Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, who plays tech guru Tej Parker on camera. A Fast and Furious video game? Seems like a no brainer. It gets better. Rather than limiting the Fast and Furious Edition cars to the expansion game, Turn 10 made them available through one of their (some may say notorious) downloadable content packages. Eight of the expansion's 11 cars were made available for just $4.99 (the only cars that weren't included were the Fast and Furious Edition Nissan GT-R, while the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and McLaren P1 are already available in-game). What's cool ais that the cars featured in both games are visually identical to the vehicles driven by the stars of Furious 7. Each in-game car has an on-screen parallel that plays a role in advancing the film's story. Considering that we're unlikely to score seat time in Dominic Toretto's real Dodge Charger, then, we figured we'd take to the game and test the car in the digital realm. We've got nine little cluster reviews, covering the cars both in the game and how they appear in the movies. And don't worry, there are no major spoilers here. Click on for the cars of Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast and Furious Edition Supercharged 7.2L V8 / 900 HP / 663 LB-FT The one vehicle that is mandatory in a Fast and Furious video game, Dom's hot-rodded 1970 Dodge Charger, is as much a character in the films as its driver. Furious 7 marks the fourth appearance of this Mopar beast in the series. Not surprisingly it's a handful to drive, wildly quick and with a four-speed transmission packed full of very tall gears. But beyond that, it's arguably the coolest of the FF Edition cars. This black beauty is exactly as it appears in the latest installment of the film, with the video game version featuring intricate little details, like the moving parts on the BDS supercharger. It's an iconic car, and it's treated as such in the game.
