This is a relist. The winner of the last auction is a deadbeat. 1952 Dodge Power Wagon (Military M37) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_M37 We are not sure when this was converted to a Fire Truck. Our Fire
Department has used it as an active brush truck since the mid 90s. I have
personally taken this truck on many fire calls. The engine was
rebuilt around 2004.It runs and drives with a few issues.
The Larger of
the issues is the Rear Differential. The drive shaft
turns but the truck does not move. We have not
opened the rear to see exactly what is wrong. We pull it in
and out of the building using 4x4 and it drives fine with no noise from the
rear diff. The PTO Winch is
disconnected. It worked but it leaked oil. When we put the rebuilt engine back
in it we disconnected it with intentions of putting new gaskets in to stop
the leak and never did. The parts are there. The last
issue... it is not the original engine. It is the Right engine for the year but
the numbers don't match. Please come see the truck or at the very least Email me, include a phone number and I will call you and discus the truck. This is a good Candidate for a full Military Restoration or Just a Fun Antique truck to play with that has a lot of History. The first couple of pics show what the truck looked like in service. I am adding pictures of the truck after we took some of the firefighting equipment off so you may view what it looks like as you will receive it. The Hose Real/Hoses, Light Bar, axes, and extinguishers were removed. The Deluge Gun, Tank, Strobes in the Body and Grill were left on the truck. Also the Antique Q-Siren with Red light on the left front fender. Good Luck and Happy Bidding. |

Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites
Sun, Jan 7 2024Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
2015 Dodge Charger configurator opens up shop
Thu, Dec 11 2014Itching to get your hands on a new 2015 Dodge Charger? Your day is almost nigh, my friend While you're waiting, you can spec out how you'd want your muscle sedan to look as Dodge has included the revised four-door in its online configuration tool. Though it's not the most impressive or interactive of configurators we've seen, the site lets you choose any color you want (from the limited array available anyway) along with all the key options packages and such. First you'll need to choose a trim level though, but we're afraid the Hellcat version isn't part of this site, and the SRT site hasn't launched a configurator yet for the world's fastest production sedan, so you'll have to choose between SE, SXT and R/T trim levels. Experience the New York Auto Show by drone
Fri, Apr 10 2015The Autoblog team recently returned from wildly running around the Javits Center to cover all the news and debuts at the New York Auto Show. Sometimes, it's nice to take a more serene look at the exhibition floor, though, and the event's organizers are providing that exact opportunity by flying a drone through the hall. Combined with the down-tempo music, this clip feels like a form of automotive meditation. If you're going to miss the show in the Big Apple, the drone also provides a good overview at the exhibition floor, especially at the stands from Lexus, Buick, Dodge, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and BMW. Plus, it's a fun way to see some vehicles from a completely different angle than they ever appear on the road.
