Up for auction is a 2005 Dodge SRT4 Neon. I purchased this car new back in 2005, and I have owned it ever since. It has been driven sparingly over the years. As such, it has very low original mileage.
The tires are the ones that were on the car at delivery (6mm tread depth remaining), and the rims have no curb rash on them. The interior is just as you'd expect on a car with such low original mileage. There are no stains on the seats, the carpeting, or even in the trunk. The paint is excellent (car has been garaged) with only a few minor flaws. There is a small dent in the corner of the hood where a rock struck it, and the rear fascia has a small/hardly noticable flaw in it.
The suspension is nearly stock, with only a 22mm rear sway bar and Mopar Performance lower control arms (for toe adjustment) on the car as the car sits. The stereo is the stock unit (no Kicker equipment on this vehicle), and the windows have been tinted to a 35% level. The exterior is of the factory configuration, but the hood has a contrasting black color (factory steel hood). The brake lights (all three) have been lightly tinted as well.
The modifications to this particular vehicle are mostly found in the drivetrain. It features a number of Mopar Performance improvements. These include a full Stage 3R upgrade with turbo toys (including the lighter, more expensive turbine wheel for faster spooling), an Extrude Honed intake manifold, LFS oversized throttle body, Mopar blow off valve, Iceman cold air intake, JMB oil catch can and check valve, a coil heat shield, Blitz turbo timer, Booger shifter bushings, Magnacor ignition wires and Modern Performance motor mount bolts. The motor mounts themselves have been stiffened slightly using delrin inserts.
The exhaust is still OEM, so full stage 3 performance will require the installation of an oversized free flowing exhaust system. The car hasn't been on the dyno since it was upgraded, but while it was still at stage 1, its output was already 226BHP. It should output somewhere between 350 and 400BHP as it sits (in high output mode, and after opening up the exhaust system). This car weighs less than 2900lbs as it sits right now, even with a full interior.
I have the original window sticker, and all of the documentation since delivery. If you're looking for a low mileage, original owner SRT4, you've found it. This car needs nothing but a good home, so feel comfortable placing a bid on this very rare item.

Ford Police Interceptors dominate Michigan State Police testing
Tue, Nov 1 2016Once again, Ford Motor Company builds the fastest police vehicles. The Blue Oval touted the news in an official release following Michigan State Police and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department testing. Ford did very well. Except for one acceleration metric – zero to 10 miles per hour – the Blue Oval's Taurus and Explorer-based cop cars were the quickest, with particular praise coming for the EcoBoost-powered models, which bested Chevrolet and Dodge's V8-powered variants. Dearborn's products also posted the fastest average times around MSP's vehicle dynamics course. But it wasn't all positive for Ford. The only four-cylinder in the contest, the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost Ford SSP Sedan, had both the lowest top speed, 120 mph, and the slowest acceleration figures. It was also the slowest in track testing. Ford's products also failed to match the braking and top speeds of its rivals from Detroit and Auburn Hills – the rear-drive Charger Pursuit posted the best braking stats of the entire test, while the V8-powered Chevrolet Caprice hit the highest top speed, at 155 mph. Ford did score a top speed award, among SUVs, but at 132 mph, the naturally aspirated Police Interceptor Utility had to share its award with the equally fast, rear-drive Chevrolet Tahoe. The LA County Sheriff's timing isn't publicly available, but according to Ford, the EcoBoost-powered police cars put on a similarly impressive show for cops on the West Coast. We've assembled a spreadsheet on Google Docs that offers an easy to browse comparison of the different stats assembled by the Michigan State Police, and divided the vehicles between standard V6-powered sedans, high-performance sedans (EcoBoost and V8 models), and SUVs. You can check it out here. Related Video:
The Dodge Demon sheds some weight in pursuit of speed
Thu, Jan 19 2017The Dodge Demon teaser train isn't stopping until it hits New York City. In case you need a reminder, the upcoming Demon is the more pedestrian Hellcat's stripped-down and hopped-up sibling that promises to be built for the sole purpose of traveling a quarter-mile mile quicker than any of its rivals. The weekly video rollout on www.ifyouknowyouknow.com continues with the latest sneak peak, "Reduction." While there were early rumors that the Demon may pack an all-wheel-drive system and in turn gain enough grip to rotate the Earth underneath it, Dodge and SRT look to be going down a simpler route. The press release reveals the Demon is 200 pounds lighter than the standard Hellcat. It's unclear where all that weight is coming from, but at nearly 4,500 pounds, the Challenger Hellcat could stand to go on a bit of a diet. The video hints at adjustments to the wheels, steering, suspension, and brakes, as well as some modifications to the car's interior. Don't be surprised if the Demon is a bare bones stripper model with no back seat, no A/C, and no radio. Who needs music when you have 2.4-liter supercharger and a 6.2-liter Hemi V8 making sweet love under the hood? Roadkill Nights writhes with 200 Dodge Vipers
Sun, Aug 13 2017Some 200 Dodge Vipers from across the United States and Canada descended Saturday on Roadkill Nights, the FCA-sponsored event at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, that turned Woodward Avenue into a drag strip. The Vipers were there to mark this month's end of production of the wicked, hand-built, highly customizable performance car after 25 years. Vipers of every generation, color and stripe arrived en masse under a police escort, from the blue-and-white GTS-R to cars dressed in appropriate Snakeskin Green. Check out the gallery above. Halfway around the world, meanwhile, other Viper fans are trying to mark the car's production demise by claiming the record lap time at the Nurburgring. They ran a 7:03.45 lap in late July. And according to a Facebook post yesterday from the group, they've secured funding for more Ring time to make another attempt. Roadkill Nights racing was continuing until 11 Saturday night, and included drag events featuring the new Dodge Demon.
