For sale is an excellent condition, One Owner, 2002 Dodge Durango SLT 4 Wheel Drive with the 4.7L V8 with automatic transmission. She has only 137,291 original miles on this Florida Car. (Only 12k miles a year.) Has a Car Fax / Autocheck showing 1 owner. Been in Florida it's entire life. This car also qualifies for both the Autocheck and Carfax Buyback Protection Guarantees. See all the loaded options above. Factory Heavy Duty Towing package installed. Comes with original key and keyless entry remote. Original manuals. Removable 3rd row seat. Seats 7-8 people. Has a TV system, but it has not been tested. Power windows, Power Mirrors, Power Seats and Power door locks. Runs and drives great and everything works perfect. This car needs nothing. All fluids are in excellent condition and just serviced. Tires are BRAND NEW (Less than 2 miles on them), brakes, and battery recently replaced. Brakes are solid. Optional Premium Aluminum Wheels. Hero gets his truck back better than new thanks to community support [w/video]
Sun, 29 Jun 2014You ever hear a story and start cringing before you hear the end because you know how it's going to turn out? That could very well have been the case with the story from a few weeks ago in West Valley City, Utah, where a 14-year-old kid stole his grandfather's Hyundai Veloster and took it for a joyride - through a park full of children. But instead it turned into a heart-warming tale of heroism and a community banding together to do what's right... and then some.
Bryson Rowley was that hero who identified the danger and, rather than sit idly by and watch the joyrider potentially run over a child, got into his truck and drove it into the menacing runaway hatchback. The collision caused some $7,500 to his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, but instead of getting stuck with the bill - one which his insurance may very well have refused to pay since the crash was, technically speaking, intentional - his community pitched in a helping hand.
Bryan Ellison, who owns West Valley Carstar with his brother, saw the news on television and wanted to help. So he brought Rowley a rental car, picked up his truck and brought it back to his auto repair shop. People from around the community donated parts, and when all was said and done, some $15,000 of work and upgrades were performed on the Ram that was returned to an overwhelmed Bryson Rowley better than new. Custom 2014 Dodge Durango R/T proves SEMA can be subtle
Thu, 07 Nov 2013The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas can often be a sensory overload of overwrought madness, with cars that don't even look drivable anymore. But every once in a while, a modestly modified show car graces our presence, like the customized Dodge Durango you see here, which, in addition to giving us our first glimpse at the aftermarket possibilities for the refreshed-for-2014 model, proves that a car doesn't have to be slammed, scooped, donked and Lambo-doored to have presence.
Sure, this Durango has custom hood inserts, dark 22-inch wheels and custom fender flares, but as far as external modifications go, that's it. Inside, Dodge has fitted new door sill guards, an ambient lighting kit, bright pedals, premium floor mats and - of course - Katzkin leather. The automaker has even added wireless internet connectivity as part of the excellent Uconnect infotainment system.
Performance upgrades are minimal on this Durango R/T, which comes packed with Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Larger brakes have been fitted, as have lowering springs (though it certainly doesn't look that much lower) and a custom exhaust.
