This is a 99 Dodge Durango, with and automatic transmission. It is 4 wheel drive with a manual shift transfer case. The body is in decent shape with a few dings on the driver's and passenger doors. It has new tie rods, center link bar, brakes all 4, speakers, thermostat, headlights, turnsignals, rear drive shaft u-joints, front ball joints, calipers, wheel cylinders, transmission filter and transmission fluid, rear end assembly oil, and gasket, aftermarket cd player. The tires are about 70 percent tread left on them. It has a different than stock muffler on it that gives it a deep throaty sound. It has subwoofer hookups + and - with remote amp wire in the back behind the third row seating. Has the spare tire with jack and tools to take rims off. Has about 1500 miles on an oil change. The interior is in decent shape with minimal stains. I think this would make someone an excellent vehicle. I would like to be paid within 4 days of the transaction. You will have to come pick the vehicle up. I dont offer any shipment. You would also have to come to our locations to sign the title over. Be sure to have an Drivers license with you and be of age. IIHS says these are the safest cars of 2013
Wed, 02 Jan 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has revealed its annual list of Top Safety Picks, an award that highlights automobiles it says offer "superior crash protection." A new and still more significant award, the Top Safety Pick+ honor, is given to those vehicles that earn good ratings for occupant protection in four out of five areas of measure. And while some 117 vehicles were given the TSP seal of approval for 2013, just 13 passed muster for TSP+.
To be fair, IIHS only evaluated 29 vehicles with its new testing procedures for TSP+ (we'd expect that the number of qualified cars will rise substantially for 2014). Luxury and Near Luxury midsize cars were the first groups evaluated, followed by midsizers in the Moderately Priced Cars category - unsurprisingly, it's only midsize cars that you'll find among the class this year.
Only two luxury sedans made the list of 13 for 2013: the Acura TL and Volvo S60. The other 11 cars on the list included entries from domestic, Japanese and German car makers: Dodge Avenger, Chrysler 200, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord (sedan and coupe), Kia Optima (but not its close kin, the Hyundai Sonata, strangely), Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy and Outback, Suzuki Kizashi and the Volkswagen Passat all made the grade.
Chrysler recalls 350k vehicles over ignition switches
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Chrysler has announced a recall covering 349,442 vehicles due to ignition switches that can either become stuck or move without warning. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2008 model year, and were built before May 12, 2008.
The automaker has learned that ignition keys on some vehicles "may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position during engine-startup," the company said in a statement. Additionally, "an ignition key may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position and may inadvertently move through the 'ON' position to 'ACCESSORY' or 'OFF.'"
Chrysler says it is unaware of any related injuries, and notes that while reduced braking, engine or steering power is possible in such instances, the airbags are not affected. The later stands in contrast to General Motors' recent rash of high-profile recalls, and it's an important distinction that Chrysler (understandably) felt necessary to call out in bold print in its press release.
