2000 DODGE DURANGO SLT.  Chrysler Mechanic owned, (me)....  This has been my favorite Dodge truck of all times, but since I bought a Charger R/T I dont drive it much anymore, and its using a much needed parking space.

I have maintained this truck better than than factory recomends.... I work in a dealership. This was a real clean trade-in I snaped up at work back in 2004.  From the begining; every 1.000 miles the oil was changed with MOBIL-1 Synthetic. ( the fluids dont cost me anything)  The transmission and differential have had their fluids (and filter) changes as well. (Way before the recomended intervals and more frequenly.)   So there are no issues with the drivetrain, no noice, no shutter, no clunks.  Lucky me & lucky you!

Moreover,  the truck is heavily optioned with everything but a sun roof.  P/W, P/Seat P/locks, CRUISE, TILT,  A/T w/overdrive, Rear defoger with wiper & wash. Fog Lights, It even has 3rd row passenger seating, premium sound system (with remote) and dual A/C unit. everything works.  I also installed OEM MoPar & Viper high performance parts where applicable (i.e. the timming chain sprockets and tensioner). The engine & transmission have been tweaked a little for more power and logevity. So you can drive this truck anytime anywhere with no worries.

I am selling it cheap with a low reserve and will post more photos soon. I had problems with my digital camera as it started to rain. Please be adviced, I reserve the right to cancel any and all bids at my discression. Also I am selling the vehicle locally and reserve the right end the auction early. And as they say in the used car business; this vehicle is being sold as-is where-is without any waranties written or expressed.  So more photos will follow soon. Feel free to E-mail me with any questions and Check out my other items!

Detroit 3 small cars lay an egg in latest Consumer Reports reliability study

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Consumer Reports has released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey and the results are, in a word, interesting. While we already covered the score-damaging effects of infotainment systems, there's another big angle to the data that's getting some attention - the utterly dismal scores of the Detroit Three's small car offerings.
The turbocharged Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Cruze, as well as the Ford Fiesta were their respective brands' lowest-scoring models, a stat that's made worse by the fact that the American automakers finished 25th, 21st and 23rd, respectively.
That's not acceptable for The Detroit Free Press' auto critic, Mark Phelan, who has penned a scathing critique of the D3's small car reliability scores, arguing that GM, Ford and Chrysler are "out of excuses."

Dodge Durango gets the Blacktop treatment

Sat, 09 Aug 2014

The Dodge Durango is getting a meaner, more aggressive look as it becomes the latest model from the brand to wear the Blacktop Appearance Package. The upgrades are strictly cosmetic, but they lend the SUV a more assertive demeanor that some buyers like.
Available on the SXT, Limited and R/T (shown above) models, all Blacktop Durangos get black 20-inch wheels, dual exhaust, bod- color fascia and gloss black trim. The grille surround, air dam, mirrors and headlight surrounds all get the inky treatment, as well. The improvements add $1,590 to the cost of the SXT. They come to $1,990 on the Limited but also include HID headlights with LED running lights and a leather interior. Finally, R/T buyers only need to pay $295 for the upgrades. The Blacktop Durango hits showrooms this October.
If you're already in the market for a Durango but want a dash more style with no added performance, the Blacktop might not be a bad way to go. It certainly gives the SUV a bit more edge than it has in stock form. Scroll down to read the full release.

Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.
