Extremely RARE 69 Dart GT Convertible!!!!

Be the Only One at any Cruise In or Car Show!

Beautiful, Convertible, RARE and Show Winner!

One of 264 Dart GT Convertibles produced with a 318

Fender tag "looks" like D31 which is an automatic...please see picture of fender tag
However it now has a 4 speed!

This car is also a factory AC car, Very few 318 Dart GT Convertibles came with
AC out of the few produced!!!

The AC components are not there, but factory kits can be purchased
Heater Core was bypassed since only driven in warm weather with top down.
Do not know if it leaks or the guy who restored it didn't want to check it.
I only drove it with top down, never hooked it up.
Options include:
  • Factory AC Car
  • Power Top
  • Remote Mirror
  • Power Steering
  • Original AM Radio
  • Car was restored a couple of years ago.

  • Beautiful Body and Deep Red Paint
  • Undercarriage is almost like new
  • Convertible Top is like brand new
  • Beautiful Correct Mopar Ralley Wheels
  • New Radial Tires
  • New Exhaust, Brakes, Emergency Brake Lines, suspension components, shocks, etc
  • Beautiful new Interior, Seats, door panels and carpet

  • The hood is a GTS hood and also has 340 emblems.
The car looks like it should have come like this from the factory.
It also has the GTS stripe. Thanks to the folks who mentioned this.

This Rare car drives very nice, gets amazing looks and attention!
    (How many have you seen?)
Super rare, I have never seen a 69 Dart Convertible, much less a 318 GT!

Car is new & restored everywhere except the steering wheel, column and dash including the
    radio which is all original.
My asking price and even the Buy It Now is Much Much Much lower than these:

The following link is for a 69 Dart GTS Convertible that sold for $57,900!
to go to 69 Dart GTS Convertible that sold for $57,900!
There are a few GT's and GTS's that I found have sold that have been priced and/or sold for
    $58,000 or in the $60's!
GTS's were big block 383's, but the quality of them is comparable to this beautiful
    Dart Convertible.
Things I would do if I could keep it (I have way to many cars or would love to
    keep this incredible rare investment)
  • Wipers not working, I think it's either the original wiper switch or a ground
  • Both bumpers are good driver quality, but to match the beautiful paint I would
    put new ones on.
I found correct triple chrome plated for 300 each with free shipping
  • The rear tail light bezels are pitted and I would replace.
  • Has new emergency Brake Cables but they need to be adjusted
I have tried to show everything about the car, if there is something else you
wish to see please email through ebay. Also there is a video at the bottom of
    the listing.
This is a Real GT 318 Convertible Dart, Original Fender Tag (See picture)
Below is the Fender Tag Breakdown:
The fender tag is the original and pretty hard to read all of the characters, below

2020 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak will debut at SEMA

    Mon, Nov 4 2019

Mopar fans have countless reasons to get hyped about the 2019 SEMA show. Speedkore is bringing a twin-turbocharged, all-wheel-drive Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody, Mopar is bringing a done-up 1968 Dodge D200 "Lowliner," Ram is bringing a diesel 1500 overlander, and Jeep is bringing a custom off-road Wrangler. But the launch of the new 2020 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak might garner the most attention from the brand's most serious customers. Prior to the show, Mopar teased a photo and a short video clip, both showing a new Dodge Challenger from the overhead view. The white Challenger showed a wide blue stripe down the center of the car with two pinstripes along each side. "Powered by SRT" runs across the top of the windshield, and Mopar logos grace both sides of the car just beneath the side windows. Red decals run back from the rear quarter panels and connect across the rear of the car. It also has hood pins on the SRT Hellcat hood and a parachute attached the rear. There's a parachute because this is the factory turnkey drag-race-focused Dodge Challenger racecar. Mopar released no other information on what type of hardware the Drag Pak will be using, or what's under the hood, but the video gives a great preview of the exhaust note in full tire-smoke mode. As some Drag Paks in the past have dropped roughly 1,000 pounds from their production starter vehicles, the 2020 model will surely utilize plenty of weight-savings methods such as the removal of all interior comfort features that don't apply on the racetrack. Mopar has also previously altered the position of the engine and changed the wheelbase to the benefit of better weight distribution. Mopar is set to livestream the unveiling starting at 7:26 p.m. ET (that's 4:26 on the West Coast, which not coincidentally coincides the the displacement of the vintage 426 Hemi engine) on Nov. 5, 2019. Until then, check out the 2009, 2010, 2011, or 2016 Drag Paks.

Everything is absurd in Fate of the Furious, including the car hacking

    Fri, Mar 10 2017

Truly ridiculous and absurd scenes and situations are a staple of the Fast and Furious series, And earlier trailers made it clear that Fate of the Furious wouldn't be any different as soon as the submarine appeared. However, it turns out the craziness has spread to the topic of car hacking. The hacker is Charlize Theron's character, Cipher, and she can apparently control any car in the world, and many of them at once. She uses this to great effect in creating giant rivers of rampaging automobiles through city streets, and waterfalls of cars flying off of parking structures. And if you look closely at these groups of vehicles, it is evident that she can even control older cars that have no automated steering or throttle capabilities whatsoever. We would ask how that works, but we know that's a silly question in the Fast and Furious universe. After all, this is the series that featured Dominic Toretto flying through the air over a freeway to catch Letty Ortiz and land on another car. And they survived. Your logic has no power here! We also noticed that Cipher seems to have a preference to hack vehicles from Fiat Chrysler. In the trailer, multiple Chrysler 300s, a Jeep Cherokee, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a Dodge Challenger all get some prominent screen time when they're being hacked. We're not so sure this is good product placement for the brand, particularly considering this is the same company that recalled over a million vehicles to fix a software issue that could lead to hacking. Maybe this is the trade-off for having the Dodge Challenger Demon as a hero car. There's more to this trailer than Chryslers and hacking though. It turns out that Cipher has been following Toretto for a few movies now. Also, characters fly with jet packs, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character shoves a torpedo out of the way, on ice, while hanging out of a truck. Check it all out in the video above. EV cost burden pushing automakers to their limits, says Stellantis' CEO Tavares

    Wed, Dec 1 2021

DETROIT — Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said external pressure on automakers to quickly shift to electric vehicles potentially threatens jobs and vehicle quality as producers struggle with EVs' higher costs. Governments and investors want car manufacturers to speed up the transition to electric vehicles, but the costs are "beyond the limits" of what the auto industry can sustain, Tavares said in an interview at the Reuters Next conference released Wednesday. "What has been decided is to impose on the automotive industry electrification that brings 50% additional costs against a conventional vehicle," he said. "There is no way we can transfer 50% of additional costs to the final consumer because most parts of the middle class will not be able to pay." Automakers could charge higher prices and sell fewer cars, or accept lower profit margins, Tavares said. Those paths both lead to cutbacks. Union leaders in Europe and North America have warned tens of thousands of jobs could be lost. Automakers need time for testing and ensuring that new technology will work, Tavares said. Pushing to speed that process up "is just going to be counter productive. It will lead to quality problems. It will lead to all sorts of problems," he said. Tavares said Stellantis is aiming to avoid cuts by boosting productivity at a pace far faster than industry norm. "Over the next five years we have to digest 10% productivity a year ... in an industry which is used to delivering 2 to 3% productivity" improvement, he said. "The future will tell us who is going to be able to digest this, and who will fail," Tavares said. "We are putting the industry on the limits." Electric vehicle costs are expected to fall, and analysts project that battery electric vehicles and combustion vehicles could reach cost parity during the second half of this decade. Like other automakers that earn profits from combustion vehicles, Stellantis is under pressure from both establishment automakers such as GM, Ford, VW and Hyundai, as well as start-ups such as Tesla and Rivian. The latter electric vehicle companies are far smaller in terms of vehicle sales and employment. But investors have given Tesla and Rivian higher market valuations than the owner of the highly profitable Jeep and Ram brands. That investor pressure is compounded by government policies aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The European Union, California and other jurisdictions have set goals to end sales of combustion vehicles by 2035.
