This is a multiple award winning, professionally built, Pro Street muscle car ! Powered by the legendary Chrysler Hemi Bored and Stroked to 535 C.I. producing 700 Horsepower and a tire shredding 800 Ft.Lb. of Torque !! To insure reliability with this kind of power, I used a Mopar Performance Mega Block....This utilizes the highly desirable "Siamese Block" which provides strengthening in all the critical areas....Rods,Bearings,Crank,Web supports etc. The internals include a Hydraulic Comp Cams Roller and Roller Rockers with Mopar Stage V Heads..10:5 Forged Pistons allow running on Pump Gas....A MP Cross Ram with freshly built Dual Holley 770's feeds the hungry Hemi !! The drivetrain consists of a 727 Torqueflite with manual valve body....Driveshaft is a bullet-proof oversized unit turning a 4:10 Gear in an 8 3/4 case and Detroit Locker. Exhaust System is Aluminized 3" from the headers back thru the Flowmaster mufflers.....Needless to say, the sound from tailpipes is pure heaven to anybody with gasoline in his veins !!! The body panels are laser straight with no bondo and the Hemi Orange paint is Show Quality. The car drives beautifully, doesn't overheat on the hottest S.Florida days and is VERY reliable and streetable....The engine was built in 2010 and it probably has less than 1,000 miles on it since then...It's always kept in a climate controlled warehouse and trailered to distant shows and only driven locally.... To sum it up, if you've always wondered what the Space Shuttle would feel like, and you're not planning to become an Astronaut, here's your chance! I am NOT a Dealer.....This car is licensed, insured and titled in my personal name here in Florida.

Has Dodge stepped in it again with Scat Pack lawsuit?

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

Lawsuits are an unfortunate part of doing business in just about any industry, so the latest complaint filed by a California-based aftermarket firm against Chrysler would seem to be nothing more than business as usual. But this isn't the first time the two companies have sparred over this particular issue.
According to a report from Automotive News, the dispute revolves around the Scat Pack name that Chrysler first offered on the Charger, Coronet, Dart and Super Bee starting in 1968. Scat Enterprises, a manufacturer of crankshafts and other components for Dodges and other vehicles, sued Chrysler for using its name. A few years later the Scat Pack disappeared from the Dodge catalog.
Fast forward to August 2013 when Chrysler applied to register the Scat Pack name anew. The US Patent and Trademark Office turned down Chrysler's application, but the automaker proceeded anyway, unveiling new Scat Packs for the Challenger, Charger and Dart at last year's SEMA show.

2015 Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car burns rubber into SEMA [w/video]

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is showing off a completely redesigned Dodge Charger Funny Car at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas and it's ready to blow through the NHRA timing lights next year. Initially, the shape might look like any of the other entrants in its class burning through the quarter mile, but this is the first comprehensive rethink for the racecar's aerodynamics since 2006, says Dodge.
Draped in classy red and black Mopar livery, the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car tries to share the front and rear styling with its roadgoing counterpart, plus the scallops along the side, but this racer is all about crossing the finish line first.
The major goals for the redesign included making the body stronger and lighter without sacrificing aerodynamics, and that has been done with materials like Kevlar and carbon fiber. However, engineers have accomplished even more. By moving the cockpit further back, they've increased engine clearance and improved driver visibility.

2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.
