Nice 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad cab Sport.V8, automatic transmission w/ overdrive, Power windows, Power locks,Sliding rear window,Tilt,Cruise,Cold A/C,tinted back windows, AM/FM stereo cassste w/ CD player,reese slide in hitch,bedliner,Carpet and interior are still in good shape.Brand new headliner and visors installed last year because they sagged a little.Silver exterior, black and grey cloth interior. Just had 4 brand new tires put on and they have less than a 1000 miles on them. Heater core went out in the truck at 143,000 miles and warped the heads a little so I had a brand new professionally built and installed engine and heater core put in it along with brand new heads.New engine currently has 50,772 miles is all. (Truck has a total of 193,772 original miles) The engine came with a 3 year or 100,000 mile unlimited warranty and it runs like a brand new one. Everything from the oil pan up is basically new.Lots of new quality parts have been installed over the last 2 years. Alternator,starter, water pump, wheel bearings, power steering hose,etc. The truck could probably use a set of shocks but other than that its ready to be driven again.It is currently sitting and not being driven because I bought a new Tundra and that why I'm selling it. I was going to keep it to go back and fourth to work in but decided to sell it instead. Truck has not given me one problem since the new engine and heads were installed. It still drives great and I am the third owner. I have a clean Georgia title in hand.Worry free driving for a long time.

Chrysler recalling 2009-2010 Ram 1500, Dodge Dakota pickups over axle pinion nut

Chrysler is issuing a recall for the 2009 and 2010 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota pickup trucks due to improper installation of the rear axle pinion nut. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 44,300 trucks are affected by the recall, and there have been 12 confirmed incidents including one crash.
The issue on both trucks is that the pinion nut is loosening on some trucks due to a lack of thread adhesive, and it is causing the rear axle to lock up resulting in loss of vehicle control. NHTSA's recall notice says that eight incidents occurred at speeds over 35 miles per hour and most also exhibited driveshaft failures as well since the loss of the pinion nut would cause the gear to separate from the driveshaft. In one complaint, the driveshaft separated from the rear axle and punctured the gas tank.
Chrysler will begin sending out recall notices to affected owners in November, but scroll down to see the official NHTSA notice.

FCA plants skipping summer shutdown to keep up with demand

Hopefully, some FCA US factory employees don't have big plans for the usual summer shutdown, because the automaker is keeping several plants running this year. Demand is so high that the company wants to keep models rolling off the assembly lines. Four FCA US assembly plants, all the engine factories, and some locations that build transmissions are staying open throughout the summer, according to the Detroit Free Press. Usually, these sites would see a two-week shutdown for the company to retool and perform repairs. This year, factories are staying open for FCA to support its strong sales. The lines that remaining humming through the summer show an inclination toward the automaker's popular SUV's and crossovers. They include the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Michigan that builds the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango; Saltillo Van Assembly in Mexico that constructs the Ram ProMaster; Toledo Assembly Complex in Ohio that produces the Cherokee and Wrangler; and Toluca Assembly in Mexico that makes the Dodge Journey and Fiat 500. Dodge offers 100 years of solid advice in new ad

This is a cool ad. Dodge, which is celebrating its centennial this year, recruited some of its peers to see what you should and shouldn't do in life. Of course, some are obvious - don't complain, learn from your mistakes and live for now.
Then again, some are less obvious. Some, actually, are downright awesome. Towards the end, each piece of advice is interspersed with clips of Dodge's redesigned Challenger smoking its tires. Really, this ad feels like it'd be worthy of a Super Bowl spot. This commercial's personal nature is really in keeping with some of the big game's most interesting ads, like the Imported From Detroit commercial, the Farmer ad and Maserati's surprise clip from this year's game.
