This is my 1969 convertible dodge coronet.I have had it for a couple years now and have not been able to restore it like I planned. It has only been driven 2301 miles in the last 32 years.I have a copy of the title from 1981 that shows it had 68000 miles on it.The title I have in my name shows exempt because the lady said it was too old to be accurate.I was told the 318 motor was the original when I purchased it but it is not.The motor is from a 1972.The motor runs good and the transmission shifts fine. The exhaust is shot and will need replaced. It has an 8 3/4 rear end with 3.23 gears. The convertible top back window will need replaced. The car has new wheels, tires and center caps. The back wheels are 15X8's and the fronts are 15X7's.The car had drums on the front when I got it and I have since put disc brakes from a 1970 charger on it.The last time I drove the car it has a leak in the brake line and air is getting in.So the brake light comes on.I installed new calipers, rubber brake hoses, new upper and lower ball joints, and master cylinder. The car has a power top and it works like it should. The top latch on the passenger side is broken.Drivers side is o.k..All glass is good. All gauges work.Radio is not hooked up.It has an aftermarket 8 track hooked up.I don t think it works but have not messed with it much. All the lights work. The car is licensed and insured but have not had time to drive it much.Need to fix the brake line that is getting air into the system and the exhaust before it can be road worthy. The car is a project car that will need total restoration. It does have some bondo in it here and there. The front frame where the torsion bars mount on the passenger side has a hole in it next to the rocker panel. The back frame rails look o.k.The car has undercoating from the factory and I am sure once you pull up the carpet there will be some holes to repair but no major holes. The trunk pan will need replaced or repaired. The car has alot of r/t items like hood scoops with chrome bezels, quarter panel scoops with chrome bezels and coronet r/t door plates. The car needs alot of work but is a rare car and will be worth it when done.I still owe $10,000.00 to the bank on it and it will need to be paid off before it can be transferred to another.

These Canadians somehow forgot how to drive in snow
Tue, Dec 6 2016Montreal drivers experienced a slow-motion pileup on their streets this weeks thanks to the first snow fall of the season. According to the CBC, slippery conditions caused a small pileup involving cars, buses and even a street clearing vehicle. Onlookers in neighboring office buildings watched as vehicle after vehicle slid down Cote du Beaver Hall and crashed into the scrum of waiting cars. First there was a city bus, then a white Ford F-150 work truck loaded down with ladders, then another city bus came along and sandwiched the poor F-150. A Montreal Police Charger then came down the hill backwards, hit the bus in a slow, sad crash before it was crashed into by an out of control plow truck. Since its posting yesterday, the video of the crash has gone viral. Various other vehicles–a green-topped Scion delivery truck and a couple workaday sedans–were lucky enough to escape the pileup, but still suffered through a white-knuckled slippery descent down the hill. Colin Creado, who works nearby the crash site, told the CBC although it was pretty slippery, he was surprised at all the carnage since the storm was forecast well in advance. "You would have thought ... they would have salted the area or at least cordoned it off, because that road is pretty steep," he told the station. 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad
Thu, 17 Jul 2014Watchers of the auto industry will notice a theme among the formerly bankrupted American automakers, General Motors and Chrysler. There are the post-bankruptcy vehicles, and the pre-bankruptcy vehicles. The former, in the case of Chrysler, include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as the 200 and 300. For GM, there's the Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Impala and Buick Encore, among others. These vehicles have the freshest styling, with sharp exteriors and well-crafted interiors, as well as advanced powertrains and well-sorted chassis.
As for the pre-bankruptcy vehicles, they tend to be easy to spot. Most suffer from inferior driving dynamics, cheaper interiors, poorer fuel economy and often homely looks (we know, there were some decent cars before the bankruptcy, but they were pretty heavily outweighed by the bad ones). Think late, last-generation Chevrolet Impala or Chrysler 200. Increasingly, though, we're seeing vehicles that split the balance between pre- and post-bankruptcy. Vehicles like the Dodge Journey.
The Journey debuted in 2007 as a 2008 model year vehicle, meaning it should fall into the latter category. But heavily breathed upon in 2011, it now enjoys a new, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a big, critically acclaimed touchscreen display and in the case of today's tester, a new-for-2014 Crossroad spec.
Dodge Challenger Scat Pack adds power and noise, with a warranty
Thu, 17 Apr 2014If you want to go fast, there's certainly nothing wrong with the Dodge Challenger SRT8. With 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for 2014, there's certainly not much to complain about. But what if you want something more aftermarket in flavor? There's no shortage of options, but while turning to the tuner world will make your car plenty fast, that extra power won't just shred rear tires, it'll torch your warranty, as well. That's where Dodge's Scat Pack comes in.
With three stages of mods for both the 5.7 and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s Challenger (as well as the 5.7-liter Charger and, soon, the four-pot Dart), the Scat Pack cars give drivers all the power, aggression and noise of a heavily modded aftermarket car while maintaining the piece of mind provided by the Dodge warranty.
Power gets bumped up to 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque with the 6.4-liter Scat Pack, while the 5.7-liter can provide up to 58 hp and 47 lb-ft of torque to add to the stock engine's 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet. It's the latter engine that can really get some work done, with upgrades ranging from the mundane - intake and exhaust - to the racy, like the ported heads and high-flow headers.
