In 1967 a young man walked into Maywood Dodge in Maywood Illinois and traded in his 1965 Chevrolet Impala on this 67 Dodge R/T.. it came with auto, vinyl roof, sure grip P steering, head rests and red line tires.. he had a Motorola 8 track installed in the glove box and a Mopar Tach added...it was undercoated and had the mag wheel covers... he drove it to Texas where it stayed it's whole life... this car was put into storage in 1990 and stayed there until this past Saturday where it was brought out into the light... he drove it for 23 yrs and stored it for 23 yrs.as he was no longer able to drive.. it has NEVER been apart... it starts with starter fluid and runs great with no smoke or knocking itwould make a great restoration project or with a good detail some seat covers, new tires, and other average maintainance items and drive it like it is
... ... the left front fender was replaced a long time ago but that is the only panel replacement... the left rear quarter has a little damage but nothing big... I would veture to say there arent 10 out there like this with the kind of documentation this car has..."certicard".. buyers invoice orignal Texas title issued after being paid off at Chrysler Credit... original dealer work sheet, several license receipts.. original build sheet..this is truly a DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH.. if you want a car that has NEVER been messed with and has absolutely NO RUST, except minor surface rust underneath.. the rockers, floors, trunk and all panels are SOLID.. nothing needs replacing.. even around the back glass is extra solid... the original vinyl roof is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no bubbles underneath..with a new paint job, two front seat covers and new tires and wheels this would be a show piece...with a good detailing it would be better than a lot of cars..if it doesn't sell here it will receive what it needs.. this is by no means a "fire sale".. thanks for looking and bid what you can afford..email with any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability...all glass is good and roll up and down like new.. the doors open and shut like new with a solid thunk... don't miss this opportunity to own a piece of Mopar history.. again thanks...will assist in transportation in the U.S... or overseas but of course the funds will have to clear first.. scammers.. save it for someone else.. cash or certified funds only.. those "bank money orders" are useless.. most of the underneath stuff is merely undercoating and not rust and with some cleaning will look great.. notice the cobwebs and "furrballs" on the underneath that is just waiting to be pressure washed off

Dodge Durango to stay classy with Ron Burgundy as spokesperson [w/video]
Sat, 05 Oct 2013The upcoming 2014 Dodge Durango has a lot of things going for it, including its 290-horsepower V6 and 360-hp Hemi V8 engine options, an eight-speed automatic and aggressive looks. And now it will have Ron Burgundy, the fictional television news anchor played by comedian Will Ferrell, as a spokesperson, Adweek reports. He follows in the footsteps of other non-fictional Chrysler brand spokespeople such as Eminem, Clint Eastwood and the late Paul Harvey.
Though the star of 2004's Anchorman and the upcoming Anchorman 2 is wildly popular, we're not sure we see a Dodge spokesperson in Burgundy. (Please, no womanizing or scotchy, scotch, scotch before test test drives). But at this point there's no turning back: Chrysler's chief marketing officer Olivier Francois previewed three ad spots at the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Masters of Marketing conference in Phoenix on Friday, and says Chrysler has already filmed 68(!) Durango ads with the fictional newsman.
According to Adweek, one of the ads previewed had Burgundy highlighting the SUV's glovebox size, and in another he compared its horsepower to a white horse standing next to him. Will this help Dodge Durango sales improve? We can only wait and see. In the meantime, feel free to share your thoughts in Comments, and check out the trailer for Anchorman 2 below.
The 2017 Dodge Charger Pursuit will always watch your back
Thu, Feb 9 2017Police cruisers spend the majority of their life parked and idle, waiting for the call to action. A parked car is a vulnerable one, especially when there may be incentive to disable or destroy that vehicle. FCA has worked with InterMotive, Inc., to supply safety technology that will detect movement behind the vehicle through the combined use of radar and the rear-view camera. Even better, FCA is putting this tech in every 2017 Dodge Charger Pursuit at no extra cost. According to InterMotive, the Officer Protection Package is designed to help awareness with an officer is parked and working inside the vehicle. The system will provide an alert if there is anyone moving behind the vehicle to ambush the officer. The system plugs into the OBDII port and is secured under the dash. The device can then be manually switched on. This triggers the rear parking sensors to activate and. If any movement is detected, the officer can look behind the car through the rear-view camera. The system will automatically lock the doors, roll up the windows and flash the taillights. No word on how much the system will cost for non-2017 vehicles, but it is available for order right now. Guy trying to sell Challenger Hellcat for $89,000 because VIN ends in '666'
Mon, Jul 27 2015The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is undoubtedly one of the baddest cars on the road today. With a 707-horsepower supercharged V8 snarling under the hood, the coupe can go down the road like a bat out of hell. There's not much that could make one of these muscle machines much more menacing, but a seller on Craigslist has one bizarre solution: offering a hellacious Hellcat with a VIN marking the Dodge as the beastly 666. What's the price for such unholy identification? That's a cool $89,000 – around $30,000 more than a brand new, less sacrilegious example. The seller claims that the Challenger's blasphemous number makes the vehicle "one of a kind," which is true only to the extent that VINs ending 665 and 667 would be similarly unique. The seller also says in the Craigslist ad, "This car is sure to become a collector's item and will only increase in value." There's no question that the Hellcat is a special machine, and the models just might be worth something decades into the future. Expecting that a future owner is going to care about the VIN seems pretty optimistic, though, unless this is either the first or last example, which it's not. To the credit of this superstitious seller, the Challenger appears completely untouched with all of the warning stickers, paperwork and even the plastic still covering the seats. So, the new owner is at least getting a practically untouched example. While we applaud audacity here, a roughly $30,000 premium for an unholy VIN seems a bit... devilish.
