This car was originally from the USA and was imported into Canada 16 years ago. It is located in Dundas, ON which is just outside Hamilton in storage. Viewing can be arranged. I purchased it off the previous owner who had it for 16 years and drove it every year except winter. I was going to customize it, but found something already done, so im going to put it up for sale.
The Good:It runs, drives and stops. I had it at about 60-70mph on the highway for about an hour. I have drove it around town as well. I have drove maybe 3 or 400 miles in the car. The radiator and carburetor have been professionally rebuilt right after i got it. The brakes work as they will lock the wheels if you hit them hard enough, I do have 6 new wheel cylinders to go with the car as i was going to change to a dual master set up. The interior was done at some point. Its in very good condition. Original tube radio still works, wipers are new and work (no washer though), horn works. All glass is there and not cracked, windows roll up and down. Body is solid from the grass line up no rust. No rust on the doors. Original headliner still in car and intact. Starts right up, first time cold no problems. I have the original factory service repair manual and parts catalogue with all the parts numbers, and a owners manual. Cigarette lighter still works. Push button transmission functions great in all gears. Original generator works fine. Oil pressure is good. The oil pressure and amp meter both work fine. Has Power steering, but manual drum brakes. Heater works. Headlights, signal lights and tail and brake lights all work. All body parts needed are available. Classic 2 Current has the floors and all panels needed, also here on ebay. This is a good place to start on your restoration. Something you can drive while you work.

The Bad: The floors, trunk and rockers were done before i bought it from previous owner. He drove it for 16 years, but they were done right. He described it as a wrap around job. So while you can drive this car as it sits, they need to be done again. Oil leak from valve covers, but have new valve cover gaskets in the trunk. Also speedometer and odometer dont work, I have new speedo in the trunk. The odometer reads 85000 and change and previous owner estimated current mileage at around 88000. The fuel gauge doesnt work, new owner had new fuel tank installed so not sure if sending unit in there or not. I did noticed if i fill it right up it will leak, it appears to come from where filler neck meets tank, so im guessing no seal was used in there.Temperature guage also doesnt work, I put in new thermostat and housing. But thats as far as i got there. There is some rust on the inside of the trunk lip, not on the trunk itself but just the lower substructure. The lower quarters, rockers, lower fender by the door all have bondo, as well the the top of the fenders by the headlights. Missing passenger side sun visor. Exhaust is aftermarket cherry bomb that wasnt routed correctly in my opinion, but leaks as well so needs to be redone. May be a leak from the manifold, but not sure. It will smoke after it gets warm, so may be from valve cover leak. Also paid a friend to change the oil and filter, and he complained about how hard it was to get the gaskets right (old style canister). So now when it runs there appears to be a slight leak from there. It didnt leak before he changed oil, so im guessing he botched the gaskets. When i got the car, the keys didnt work in any of the locks. I shot WD40 in them all, now they all work fine except drivers door.

Dodge adds fire-breathing Durango SRT for 2018

Tue, Feb 7 2017

The playbook for Dodge right now is pretty simple. Wring as much power out of as many things as humanly possible. Now comes the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT. Packing 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, this seven-seat school bus will scoot to 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds. Since the latest Durango launched for 2014, Dodge has unabashedly called it a three-row Charger. This beefy SUV makes that aggressive claim even more legit. "It does all the things we want a performance car to do," says Mark Trostle, head of performance, passenger, and utility vehicle exterior design. "It really is our three-row Charger." The 6.4-liter (392 cubic inches) Hemi V8 is considerably stronger than the already-potent 5.7-liter Hemi V8, which is rated at 360 hp and 390 lb-ft in the most powerful Durango available now. The SRT powertrain includes the TorqueFlight eight-speed automatic transmission used in the lesser Durango models (and many other FCA US vehicles), though it's calibrated specifically to the sportier demeanor of the SRT model. A similarly retuned full-time all-wheel-drive system rounds out the powertrain. Despite the fact this is a hot-rod SUV, it can still tow 8,600 pounds with a trailer, 1,200 pounds more than the most capable 2017 Durango (the rear-wheel 5.7-liter variant). View 9 Photos The Durango SRT is an obvious move for Dodge. The Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is built on the same platform in the same factory in Detroit, already has an SRT model. With rumors of a Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee swirling and another Demonic Challenger on the way, the Durango was overdue for an engine upgrade. "When we launched the Durango in 2014, this is the one we really wanted," says Tim Kuniskis, head of FCA US' passenger car brands. There's no doubt this is an enthusiast-oriented SUV. Dodge even went to the trouble of certifying the Durango SRT's 12.9-second quarter-mile time with the NHRA and tested it a Virginia International Raceway. Buy a Durango SRT, and you get a full day at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. When's the last time anyone did all of that with a three-row ute? It certainly looks the part. The hood bulges with new air-ducts to help keep the big Hemi chilled appropriately. There's a new front fascia with more air vents and LED fog lamps. Plus, the grille takes on a menacing new glare with a mesh pattern, and the body gets wider wheel flares. Click through the gallery, it really does look like a Charger from some angles.

The best cars we drove this year

Tue, Dec 30 2014

Six hundred and fifty. That's roughly how many cars pass through the hands of Autoblog editors every year, from the vehicles we test here at home, to the cars we drive on new product launches, testing roundups, long-term cars, and so on. Of course, our individual numbers vary due to several reasons, but at the end of the day, our team's repertoire of automotive experience is indeed vast. But let's be honest, some cars certainly stand out more than others. So as the year's about to turn, and as we're readying brand-new daily cat calendars for our cubicles, our editors are all taking time to reflect on the machinery that made this year so special, with one simple, open-ended question as the guide – a question that we're asked quite frequently, from friends, family, colleagues, and more. "What's the best car you drove this year?" Lamborghini Huracan When I review the list of everything I drove in 2014, picking an absolute favorite becomes almost impossible. I mean, how does one delineate between the joy offered by cars as different as the Alfa Romeo 4C, Volkswagen Golf R, Mercedes-AMG GT S and even the humble-yet-wonderful Chevy Colorado? Okay fine, I'll just pick the Lamborghini. I drove the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 on a racetrack, in the mountains, and along southern coast of Spain. It felt like the king of the car jungle in all of those places, sucking the eyeballs of observers nearly out of their heads as it drove by, and almost melting my brain with its cocktail of speed and grip and intense communication. It feels a little easy to say that the one new supercar I drove this year was also my favorite, but the fact is that the Huracan is one of the finest cars I've driven during my career, let alone 2014. Judge me if you must. – Seyth Miersma Senior Editor Rolls-Royce Wraith There are a couple of ways to look at the question, "What's the best car you drove this year?" In terms of what was so good I'd go out and buy one tomorrow, that'd be my all-time sweetheart, the Volkswagen GTI. Or if I'm just talking about sheer cool-factor, maybe something like the Galpin GTR1, BMW i8, or Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. But instead, I'm going to write about the sheer opulence of being the best of the best. The hand-crafted, holier-than-thou, shut-your-mouth-when-I'm-talking-to-you supremacy. I'm picking the Rolls-Royce Wraith. I drove the Wraith for a week in April, and was really, really impressed. This car does everything, perfectly.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has 707 glorious horsepower [w/video]

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

Hold onto your butts. "600-plus horsepower" is what we were told to expect from the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine. But as we've just learned, those were incredibly conservative numbers. Dodge has officially announced that the range-topping Challenger will hit the asphalt with 707 - seven hundred and seven - horsepower, making it the "most powerful muscle car ever."
Of course, 707 hp is only part of the story, as the Hellcat has also been confirmed to produce 650 pound-feet of torque. All that power will run exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that differs from other Challengers. The new gearbox, 8HP90 (rather than the 8HP70) is "upgraded to handle the extra power and torque," says Dan Reid, SRT's manager of product design and motorsports.
We certainly hope you're prepared to spend a ton of money replacing tires.
