Up for auction is an Original 1969 Hemi Charger RT. One of 207 4 speed Hemi Chargers built  in 1969. Original T7 Brown exterior with black interior and a Tan vinyl top.Factory 4 speed car with 3.54 Dana rear end. Car comes with original 3.54 Dana, numbers matching Hemi 4 speed, very hard to find Hemi only bellhousing and a real direct drive Hemi starter. Also included is a 4 speed console and original Hemi flywheel. Original Hemi K frame with mounts and special Hemi steering sector are still in the car and go with it. Car was originally equipped with power disc brakes, AM 8 track, tic tock tack. Car was separated from its original Hemi engine many years ago. It existed then but I have no leads on the original block at this time but will pass along all information I know about it's were abouts I have. The dash tag and the trunk lip number are intact and match. Radiator support was discarded by the previous owner when the Hemi was removed. I was never able to obtain it so that number is missing. Fender tag is also missing, but I have the build sheet to the car so a reproduction fender tag should be possible. Car is quite rusty and will need full restoration. I cannot add enough information in this write up to answer all possible questions. Interested parties should feel free to contact me at 319-939-3452. Evenings would be preffered or leave message. Car can be viewed in person also by having prior arrangements made. Thanks

Dodge gives 2015 Viper slight power increase, new GT model

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days.
First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard.
Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.

2015 Dodge Charger priced from $27,995, Hellcat from $63,995*

Sun, 19 Oct 2014

Ladies and gentlemen, let's get the most salient bit of information out of the way right off the bat: $63,995*. That's the amount of money Dodge dealers will be asking for (at the very least, naturally) for a 2015 Charger Hellcat (*plus $995 for destination on all pricing figures). That rather reasonable sum will bring home its buyer a 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine boasting a supercharger to post such gaudy figures as 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, leading to a top speed of 204 miles per hour to go along with an NHRA-certified quarter-mile time of 11.0 seconds.
With that out of the way, the rest of the 2015 Dodge Charger pricing information breaks down as follows: $27,995 will deliver a sedan with a 292-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Moving up one step of the ladder nets the buyer an SXT model with the same engine, but a nicer chunk of technology and optional equipment for a $2,000 premium. All-wheel drive adds another $3,000. Hemi V8-powered R/T models now boast an eight-speed transmission bolted to the same well-loved 370-horsepower engine as before, for a base price of $32,995.
The SRT 392 model that had hitherto been the top-performing Charger brings with it an asking price of $47,385 while bargain hunters can equip a Charger R/T Scat Pack machine with that same 485-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi, albeit with somewhat less posh interior bits and pieces, the removal of the 392's adjustable suspension and hi-po wheel and tire package for $39,995.

Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
