For sale is an excellent shape 2012 Charger Police Model.  I am the original Owner (I bought it directly from Dodge and it was titled to one of the Dodge reps from their pursuit vehicle division as a manufacturer vehicle).  This was their DEMO vehicle in California to show police departments.  It was NEVER a test car or training model.  Just a show vehicle.

No damage whatsoever.

Never Smoked In.

Installed in the center is a $700 Havis console.  The vehicle will come with the console and radios installed ($1200 worth, all less than 3 months old)

Communications Equip,emt:

Uniden BCF996XT Radio Scanner hooked up to a GPS for automatic freuquency tuning.

Uniden PRO 52

Anytone AT-5888UV Dual Band Mobile Transceiver VHF UHF  -  You can have this radio in a vehicle to listen with but since it IS capable of transmitting on public safety and emergency services you will need a license to transmit on anything other than frs or gmrs signals.

XM radio unit will be taken out.

Console: HAVIS Professional series police console.

Antennas:  Larsen and Diamond antennas with Browning BR1250 nmo cables professionally mounted on trunk.

This car has NEVER been a police vehicle.  It still smells new.  It handles awesome and I will gladly help arrange shipping to anywhere in the country.

Vehicle has never seen snow or salt yet.

I am including a picture of the original sticker for options...
The rear doors do not have locks or handles installed, BUT CAR COMES WITH THE NEW HARDWARE FROM DODGE.  If you'd like you can install it as I am including it with the vehicle.

Tires are all excellent as are the brakes and all fluids.

IMPERFECTIONS:

There is a 1" plugged wire hole on the roof where they had a light bar (magnet one) installed (see picture).

3 tiny 1/8" holes that have been cleaned and siliconed on both driver and passenger side by front door under roof panel (picture included).  These are completely out of the way of any water areas.

That's it!

Best of luck to the new proud owner!

Almost forgot: reason for selling is because I am in need of a much larger suv that will accommodate the radios and other equipment I plan on installing.  This was just a toy for me and I want a Tahoe now.

Mileage will be in the 14,xxx as it is my daily driver and I drive about 20 miles a day highway back and forth to work.

It may switch over to low 14,xxx miles if the auction stays open for 7 days.

The car is now on co-signment at a local Ford store which means you can buy it through the dealer and get financed on it.

2013 Dart GT will hold us over until SRT stokes Dodge's handsome compact

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

No, this isn't quite the Dart SRT4 we've been waiting for - and still believe is coming - but as part of its 2013 Detroit Auto Show lineup, Dodge will be showing off the slightly sportier Dart GT seen here.
Building on the already well-equipped Limited model, the GT adds performance enhancements including a more powerful engine, 18-inch aluminum wheels, sport suspension calibration, unique front fascia and dual exhaust. Inside, you'll find perforated Nappa leather seats, a heated steering wheel and front seats, dual-zone climate control, remote start (if you spec the automatic transmission), Chrysler's 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a seven-inch TFT display in the gauge cluster, and a whole lot more. Optional goodies include hyper black aluminum wheels, a technology group (pushbutton start, keyless go, rain-sensing wipers, blind spot monitoring and smart-beam headlamps), power sunroof, Sirius radio, Garmin navigation, Alpine premium sound and high-intensity discharge headlamps.
Powering the Dart GT is Chrysler's 2.4-liter MultiAir2 four-cylinder engine producing 184 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. That grunt is sent to the front wheels via a standard six-speed manual transmission, but a six-speed automatic 'box is optional.

Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/videos]

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Darrell Waltrip once said, "If the lion didn't bite the tamer every once in a while, it wouldn't be exciting." The sentiment behind that aphorism is causing my adrenal gland to wake up as Dodge and SRT drivers and engineers - somber-faced to a man - give me the track talk that will precede my driving the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT on the circuit at Portland International Raceway. PIR might not be Daytona, and the 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat might seem tame to a legend like ol' Jaws, but there's a not-small part of me that's thinking about how hard Dodge's fire-breathing kitty might bite.
Just a few hours previous, I'd gotten behind the wheel of the Hellcat for the first time, letting its hyperbole-spitting, supercharged V8 Hemi pull me yieldingly through Portland's morning commuter traffic. Lulled into a cocky certainty by the Challenger's good manners at low speed, I drove the throttle just a hair too deep, too fast when I ran on to the highway ramp. For just an instant the rear tires were utterly drenched in torque, and the back end of the big Dodge loosened up like a drift car on a wet track. Throttle steer lives at the fleeting whim of your right foot in this car.
It was no big thing to lay off the gas and pull the Hellcat back in line as I entered the highway, but the incident did get me to thinking: What will this car do to me on a road course?
