1977 Dodge Charger SE

6,515 Original Miles From New!

This is an awesome example of a true time capsule car.  This 1977 Dodge Charger SE has only traveled 6,515 miles since the day it was bought new at Wallingford Dodge in Wallingford, Connecticut.  The Charger is finished in blue with blue cloth interior and a white half vinyl roof.  The paint on this car is just like new.  It has an excellent gloss and it not faded at all.  All of the chrome and bright work on this car is also like new with no pitting or blemishes anywhere.  All of the glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks anywhere.  The car does have about 6 minor garage dings in different areas, none any bigger than a nickel.  The car is equipped with the rally wheels and still has the original factory 1977 tires on it.  The car also has factory undercoating.  The car runs and drives 100%.  It was driven to and from Carlisle, PA last weekend.  This was probably the longest trip of its life having gone flawlessly for 155 miles each way.  The car is equipped with the 318 V8 and automatic transmission.  The engine runs strong and the transmission shifts nice and smooth.  The interior of the car is about as close to perfect as you can get.  There are no rips or tears in the seats, carpet or headliner.  The back seat appears to have never been sat in.  The are no signs of wear anywhere on the inside of the car.  The lights, radio, wipers, and odometer all work just fine.  The trunk and undercarriage of the Charger are as solid as can be with no rust anywhere.  The car is equipped with power steering, power brakes, and factory air conditioning.  When I buy a car I have my mechanic service it and changes all the fluids in it, during this time the car was found to have a small hole in the exhaust, so I replaced the exhaust pipe with a new one, but still have the factory exhaust pipe in the trunk.  I have several pieces of original documentation to the car, and the selling dealers decal is still on the back of the trunk.  This is a great car.  Bid with confidence!

My dad and I have been PA car dealers since 1989. We have an antique car business as a HOBBY, and this is not our full time job. We do it because it’s fun for us. I try to be as honest and accurate as I can when describing a car. I would rather a customer buy a car from me and it is nicer than they were expecting then vice versa. I try to include a variety of different pictures as well. If you’d like additional pictures of a specific area or any type of information please feel free to ask, and I will do my best to accommodate you. I will accept cash, certified bank check or wire transfer ONLY.  Please remember you are bidding to BUY not to come look.  Please understand that this is a 36 year old car. It is NOT perfect, but it's darn close. I would rate it above average and an excellent candidate for the new survivor judging or any HPOF judging in AACA. Please feel free to contact me with any questions (724) 771-5170. Thank you.

These Canadians somehow forgot how to drive in snow

Tue, Dec 6 2016

Montreal drivers experienced a slow-motion pileup on their streets this weeks thanks to the first snow fall of the season. According to the CBC, slippery conditions caused a small pileup involving cars, buses and even a street clearing vehicle. Onlookers in neighboring office buildings watched as vehicle after vehicle slid down Cote du Beaver Hall and crashed into the scrum of waiting cars. First there was a city bus, then a white Ford F-150 work truck loaded down with ladders, then another city bus came along and sandwiched the poor F-150. A Montreal Police Charger then came down the hill backwards, hit the bus in a slow, sad crash before it was crashed into by an out of control plow truck. Since its posting yesterday, the video of the crash has gone viral. Various other vehicles–a green-topped Scion delivery truck and a couple workaday sedans–were lucky enough to escape the pileup, but still suffered through a white-knuckled slippery descent down the hill. Colin Creado, who works nearby the crash site, told the CBC although it was pretty slippery, he was surprised at all the carnage since the storm was forecast well in advance. "You would have thought ... they would have salted the area or at least cordoned it off, because that road is pretty steep," he told the station. The final-year Viper special editions sold out so fast Dodge is adding more

Fri, Jul 1 2016

Viper collectors don't mess around. After Dodge opened ordering for its 25th anniversary 2017 Viper models – some of the last ones that will be built – all of the cars were spoken for in just five days. The company managed to sell 206 cars, an average of about 41 per day. Compare that to the 241 Vipers sold through May of this year and you can see why special editions make good business sense. Demand was so strong that Dodge will add a sixth special-edition for the Viper's last year of production. Within the group of five initial special packages, the winner was the 1:28 Edition ACR; all 28 went in 40 minutes. Dodge sold the 31 VooDoo II Edition ACRs in two hours, while 25 Snakeskin Edition GTCs and 100 GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACRs took two days to sell out. The 22 Dodge Dealer Edition ACRs took five days – apparently the dealers were too busy taking orders for the other 184 cars they didn't have time to order their own. The additional anniversary car is called the Snakeskin ACR. Dodge will build "up to" 31 of them, which we're pretty sure means exactly 31 if the previous demand is any indicator. The count matches the 2010 run of Snakeskin ACRs and will take the final-edition total to 237. We don't have any photos of that one yet, but you can get a good idea of what it will look like from the Snakeskin GTC. This one features Snakeskin Green paint, obviously, with a custom snakeskin-patterned SRT stripe, the ACR Package, the Extreme Aero Package, carbon-ceramic brakes, the ACR interior, a serialized Snakeskin badge on the instrument panel, and a custom car cover with the owner's name by the door. It will be available to order in the middle of this month, which means it will be sold out well by the end of the month. Chances are these and many of the others will go to mega-collectors like Wayne and D'Ann Rauh of Texas, who, at last count, owned 79 Vipers. Seventy-nine. Like we said, Viper collectors don't mess around. Related Video:

Watch a Dodge Viper driver show off his V10 all the way into a wall

Mon, Apr 11 2016

Has there ever been a show-off video that doesn't end terribly? This video clip captured with a cellphone shows the driver of a neon green Viper GTS giving a fellow motorist a couple throttle blips to signify his intent – which seems to be to crash the Viper into a concrete wall as quickly as possible. It's not pretty. The mean machine seems to be a second-generation Viper GTS in Stryker Green. To our knowledge, no photos have surfaced of the aftermath, so we wish both the driver and their most-likely bruised ego a speedy recovery. Who knows, maybe the Viper is also salvageable.
