Your bidding on a numbers matching, mostly original 1969 Dodge Charger Special Edition.

It has factory power steering, power drum brakes, air conditioning, leather bucket seating, center console, heavy duty automatic transmission, 383ci V8 with a new Edelbrock 4V carburetor.  Recent shocks, battery and wiring, wheels and tires, dashboard.  This Charger is a Colorado car, so it has very little rust.  It as been repainted in the original color but has some flaws.  There is some bubbling under the vinyl roof but is solid.  The body is very straight and has no obvious evidence of filler/body putty anywhere.  Interior is mostly original with the exception of a modern radio (non-working), speakers and an oil pressure gauge.  It's in good condition, but some of the shades of blue in the interior don't match.  The A/C is missing the air compressor, so it doesn't blow cold.  Luggage rack is missing, so the trunk lid has mounting points for it.

This car is a beautiful candidate for a full restoration, but as is, it's a good driver.  God's Blessings to you.

Dodge's final Viper and Demon join stage in a million-dollar auction

Mon, Jun 25 2018

This past weekend, one of the ultimate auction double headers went under the hammer in Uncasville, Conn. The last Dodge Viper was paired with the last Dodge Demon, together with related memorabilia, resulting in a million-dollar hammer price. The winning $1 million bid will benefit the United Way charity in its entirety; the 10 percent buyer's fee will go directly to the American Heart Association, stated Barrett-Jackson, the auctioning company. The 1,485-horsepower auction was dubbed "The Ultimate Last Chance," and both of the cars on the stage were painted in the same Viper Red shade. This content is hosted by a third party. "We know the power of the Dodge Viper and Dodge Challenger SRT Demon to put a smile on people's faces; we're smiling today because we know the power of this donation to the United Way," said FCA's Steve Beahm. "These particular vehicles mark the end of their eras as the last vehicles of their kind to be built; it's rare to have just one such vehicle cross the auction block, much less a pair at the same time." Tesla Model S P85D shows 707-hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat how to drag race

Thu, Jan 22 2015

Street Car Drags hosted a bang-up event at the Palm Beach International Raceway last weekend, with a list of massive horsepower ICE cars going up against one another and a trio of Tesla Model S P85Ds. One of those duels pitted the 691-horsepower Tesla against a 707-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and the result was an old-school beatdown and a world record for electric cars. The Model S P85D ran the quarter in 11.6 seconds at 114.6 miles per hour, the new mark for BEVs at the drag strip. Proving its pace, it ran three more times in 11.69, 11.72 and 11.76 seconds. It got from the start line to 60 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds. The Hellcat, well, it wasn't a race, really. It was the Hellcat's driver's first time at a drag strip and his first time trying to launch it, so after an excellent burnout ahead of the lights, he rolled to the line, almost jumped the start, balked at the real start and spun his tires for the first 100 feet down the strip. The theory is that he overheated his street tires during that burnout, and the resulting greasy rubber did what greasy rubber does. By the time he got to the other end 17.46 seconds later the Tesla driver had showered and was enjoying a funnel cake. When things go right, though, Dodge estimates the Hellcat will do 11.2-second runs on street tires and it has been clocked at 10.85 seconds at 126.18 mph on street-legal drag radials. There's video of the not-quite-a-race above, and Drag Times says there'll be a rematch between the two in a couple of weeks. Vin Diesel and Dodge finally make the partnership official

Mon, May 1 2017

Thanks to The Fast and the Furious franchise, actor Vin Diesel is nearly synonymous with muscle cars, in particular those from Dodge and SRT. The partnership is finally official, with Diesel appearing in a number of new ads for the automaker. Three new spots, titled "Rally Cry," "Monsters," and "Shepherd," showcase Dodge's entire product line, including the nearly forgotten Journey crossover. We can only assume it's taken the Viper's place in the automaker's lineup, as the soon departed coupe is nowhere to be seen. This content is hosted by a third party. Presumably, Dodge felt three months of teasers and a good bit of New York Auto Show coverage were sufficient advertisement for the car. Plus, we can't count on the Demon to go around a corner the same way that some of the cars in this ad do. It's hard to turn with two wheels in the air. This content is hosted by a third party. The Rock, as the latter has been promoting Ford products for the past few years. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
