Hi there and thanks for viewing. Please read all the info below before replying. I plan on giving a complete description of the car and will have listed and linked over 120+ pictures of the car for honest viewing that can be seen when you click on any picture and will take you to my photobucket account. Up for auction is a rare 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440-6 4spd Dana 60 barn find project car. little over 350 made with this engine and trans combo and super rare to find. Bigger than a 426 hemi and the six pack just adds to the coolness when you pop the hood open. Now most folks can't afford a concourse restored, ultra high end $80k-$110k car done now a days, so this would be a perfect starter project for a future investment. Story is that this car was bought under 20 years ago and put into indoor dry storage for a future restoration. My friend bought this car from some kids that were going to tub it out to make a pro street race car and saved it before it was cut up and damaged. The Car does have the important numbers on the radiator support, fender tag, vin tag #XS29V0G158XXX. I did find a small piece of broadcast sheet in a bag that looks like it could be to the car, but I have not looked to see if it is the original one to it or if there is another one in the interior. Hood looks good, but has scale rust on the inside and will need to be replaced or dipped to remove it. Passenger side cowl has some filler in it, thought there looks to be no accident damage, looks like someone might have stood on the cowl and dented it that way (remember the Dukes of Hazzard craze?). Driver side door was replaced and door sticker is not correct. As you can see if the pics, the body is in very nice condition and has minimal problems with it. From the dry erea of California desert region really helped keep this car in good condition. Very straight body and with minimal dings and nicks. Trunk pan has a few small pin holes, but looks like it will not need to be replaced, floor, frame rails, quarters, roof, inner fenders, floors, fenders, trunk lid, Dutchman panel, speaker tray, quarter extensions and cowl are not rusted up like most you will find, saving you thousands in sheet metal replacement and installation costs. This would be a good project for someone that does not have the skills to do extensive metal work. The 4spd hump is very nice and also not hacked up. there is a hole in the firewall where someone ran a cable. Only real repair work needing on the body is the rear window regulators were cut out of the car when they were about to back half it into a race car. There are replacement panels and regulators that come with the car to fix that and should be pretty easy to do. Rare Burnt orange on Burnt orange combo makes this one stunning car. Has 6way bucket seats, date correct 440 HP2 long block, flywheel, pistol grip shifter, dana 60 rear end, factory skid plate k-member, bumper jack, original chrome tips rear seat, driveshaft, rear glass and side glass (side glass is in-corrected tinted shade) 3 road wheels and 1 rally wheel, nice taillights, good bumpers, mint grill, factory non-console car, flywheel, gas tank and straps, parking lights, usable and fixable front lower valance, looks like a NOS R/T door scoop. rare burnt orange glove box door and A-pillar covers, box of seat belts, dash shifter light, c-body radiator, replacement bucket seat frames as the driver side seat back needs to be repaired, driveshaft, headlight motor and a few misc parts. Missing the six pack, 4spd, correct radiator and will need a full restoration. Clean paperwork and will help load onto your transport. Not very often a rare car like this comes up for sale, so this is your chance to have a cool mopar. For more info, please feel free to contact me or call 408-623-3290 9am-9pm CA time zone. I do have the car listed for sale locally and will end the auction if sold before auction end. Good Luck and good bidding. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . photo 013.jpg photo 012.jpg photo 019.jpg photo 014.jpg photo 015.jpg photo 016.jpg photo 017.jpg photo 042.jpg photo 045.jpg photo 030.jpg photo 052.jpg photo 050.jpg photo 035.jpg photo 018.jpg photo 020.jpg photo 096.jpg photo 087.jpg photo 086.jpg photo 085.jpg photo 084.jpg photo 083.jpg photo 082.jpg photo 081.jpg photo 036.jpg photo 037.jpg photo 038.jpg photo 039.jpg photo 040.jpg photo 124-1.jpg photo 140-1.jpg photo 142-1.jpg photo 145-1.jpg photo 134-1.jpg photo 135-1.jpg photo 053.jpg photo 001.jpg photo 008.jpg photo 011-1.jpg photo 012-1.jpg photo 165.jpg photo 128-1.jpg photo 130-1.jpg photo 132-1.jpg photo 123-1.jpg photo 163.jpg photo 014-1.jpg photo 148.jpg photo 161.jpg photo 158.jpg photo 162.jpg photo 149.jpg photo 147.jpg photo 151.jpg photo 159.jpg photo 152.jpg photo 103-1.jpg photo 098-1.jpg photo 060-1.jpg photo 058.jpg photo 080-1.jpg photo 079-1.jpg photo 061-1.jpg photo 059-1.jpg photo 055.jpg photo 073-1.jpg photo 073-1.jpg photo 074-1.jpg photo 075-1.jpg photo 053.jpg photo 090-1.jpg photo 091-1.jpg photo 097-1.jpg photo 084-1.jpg photo 092-1.jpg photo 085-1.jpg photo 107-1.jpg photo 101-1.jpg photo 112-1.jpg photo 109-2.jpg photo 110-1.jpg photo 106-1.jpg photo 095.jpg photo 049.jpg photo 048.jpg photo 031.jpg photo 165.jpg

2019 Dodge Charger SRT revealed in spy shots before reveal

Fri, Jun 8 2018

Last month, Dodge teased the updated 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and its new grille with air intakes. Now we get to see it before its full debut thanks to these spy shots. We can see that the grille is one of the few things that has changed for the 2019 model year. It also appears to have a new hood that has extractor vents farther back than on the current model. We can also see that this new grille is on an SRT 392 Scat Pack model, not the Hellcat teased a month ago. This seems to imply the grille will be applied to all Charger SRT models, or at least offered as an option. Aside from the grille and the hood, the rest of this new Charger looks like the outgoing version. The bumpers, spoiler, side skirts and lights all seem to be carryover. As such, we're not expecting anything else to change radically under the hood or chassis. There's a possibility one or two engines pick up a few horsepower, but we don't expect much more than that. If anything else changes to the 2019 Charger, it will probably consist of colors, options and maybe even another trim level. We'll know more about it when it makes its official debut this summer. An updated version of the Challenger will be revealed at the same time. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. 8 things you learn while driving a cop car [w/videos]

Tue, Jan 27 2015

Let me start off with the obvious: it is absolutely illegal to impersonate a police officer. And now that that's out of the way, I'd just like to say that driving a cop car is really, really cool. Here's the background to this story: Dodge unveiled its redesigned 2015 Charger Pursuit police cruiser, and kindly allowed Autoblog to test it. That meant fellow senior editor Seyth Miersma and I would spend a week with the cop car, and the goal here was to see just how different the behind-the-wheel experience is, from a civilian's point of view. After all, it's not technically a police car – it isn't affiliated with any city, it doesn't say "police" anywhere on it, and it's been fitted with buzzkill-worthy "NOT IN SERVICE" magnets (easily removed for photos, of course). But that meant nothing. As Seyth and I found out after our week of testing, most people can't tell the difference, and the Charger Pursuit commands all the same reactions as any normal cop car would on the road. Here are a few things we noticed during our time as wannabe cops. 1. You Drive In A Bubble On The Highway Forget for a moment that our cruiser was liveried with Dodge markings instead of those of the highway patrol. Ignore the large "NOT IN SERVICE" signs adhered around the car. Something in the lizard brain of just about every licensed driver tells them to hold back when they see any hint of a cop car, or just the silhouette of a light bar on a marked sedan. Hence, when driving on the highway, and especially when one already has some distance from cars forward and aft, a sort of bubble of fear starts to open up around you. Cars just ahead seem very reluctant to pass one another or change lanes much, while those behind wait to move up on you until there's a full herd movement to do so. The effect isn't perfect – which is probably ascribable to the aforementioned giveaways that I'm not really a cop – but it did occur on several occasions during commutes from the office. 2. You Drive In A Pack In The City My commute home from the Autoblog office normally takes anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes, and it's a straight shot down Woodward Avenue from Detroit's north suburbs into the city, where I live. Traffic usually moves at a steady pace, the Michigan-spec "five-over" speed.

Dodge could return to NASCAR, Marchionne says

Mon, Dec 5 2016

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne said he'd "love to" bring Dodge back to NASCAR. The news could signal a potential shift in America's favorite motorsport away from today's three-manufacturer arrangement, but we're wondering just how much sense Dodge's return would make amid NASCAR's dwindling television ratings and attendance figures. It took a visit from Ferrari at NASCAR's biggest icon, Daytona International Speedway, for the Ferrari Challenge World Finals to get Marchionne on the subject of Dodge and stock car racing. When asked about the possibility on Sunday, the FCA boss revealed he'd just spoken to NASCAR executive vice president Jim France the night before about Dodge's return. Dodge announced its NASCAR departure in 2009, as it was in the grips of a major bankruptcy alongside cross-town rival General Motors. While GM's Chevrolet brand stuck it out and won three of the last four manufacturer championships, the final Mopar-powered team flipped to Ford in 2012. Marchionne takes the blame for the decision, citing reasons that are, frankly, very good. "I am the guilty party at the table. In 2009 we came out of bankruptcy; we couldn't [justify] racing in NASCAR when I was trying to pay bills and make payroll," Marchionne said, according to Autoweek. "I think we're in a different place now." NASCAR is in a different place, too. The sport has struggled with disappointing television ratings in the past several years, and it's not uncommon to tune into races at some of the sport's marquee tracks, like Bristol Motor Speedway, and see scores of empty seats. Sponsorship dollars are also drying up. That could explain Marchionne's non-committal follow-up comments. "We need to find the right way to come back in," Marchionne said, adding that he'd revisit the idea with Jim France and International Speedway Corporation CEO and NASCAR board member Lesa France Kennedy "in short order."
