Your looking at a 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A - 340 Six Pack - 4 Speed

This is 1 of 989 Challenger T/As made with manual 4 speed transmissions! There were only 1,411 automatics made.

This is a low very production - investment quality car.

Challenger T/A project cars don't come up for sale often.

This is the nicest Challenger T/A that you'll find THAT is still a project...

Ideal for those of you that prefer to do your own restorations. All of the hard work has already been done!!!

The car was originally RED with RED interior, which is super rare!

The body is currently painted in a black etching primer.

The RED dash, steering wheel, and console are original!

The seats and door panels are from another car and were painted red to help you imagine how it will look when it's done.

The body is solid! The floors, trunk, & quarters were professionally replaced with high quality AMD replacement body panels.

The hidden partial VINs on the radiator support & cowl both MATCH the Dash VIN and fender tags!

The Fender tags are reproduction! You can verify that it is a real TA Challenger by the J in the VIN.

FYI - E bodies DO NOT have VIN stampings on the trunk lip!

The VIN starts with JH23J0B, I will not list the whole VIN online!

Your welcome to come see the car in person ANYTIME before bidding.

The car comes with a non-original 340 engine with a SIX PACK intake, bell housing, and 4 Speed manual transmission.

I suggest rebuilding the engine and transmission.

The car has it's original disk brakes and front sway bar which were standard on the T/A Challenger. The rear sway bar is missing.

The cross member has some heavy pitting. You may want to replace it.

Please check out ALL OF THE PICTURES!!!!

Also check out the torque boxes, which are only found on SIX PACK and Hemi Challengers/Cudas.

The rear antenna hole is exclusive to T/A Challengers and AAR Cudas.

All other E-bodies have the antenna on the drivers side front fender.

If you can't pickup the car yourself then I can attach the engine, bell housing and transmission together.

Then set them in the car for transport.

Dodge engineers trying to shoehorn Pentastar into Dart?

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

The fact that the Dart's launch has been a pretty dismal affair isn't what we'd call secret. Judging by its mounting inventories and poor critical reception, Dodge's successor to its unloved Caliber has struggled since it hit the market. And while both of those are difficult problems to address, at least their cause is well known - the powertrain.
Even Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has acknowledged that the powertrain options in the Dart are substandard, admitting at January's Detroit Auto Show that the powertrains are "less than ideal." Leading with the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Fiat 500 Abarth left a bad taste in the mouths of consumers thanks to the laggy engine and dead throttle response (to say nothing of the manual and dual-clutch gearboxes that needed more refinement). The addition of the 184-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark in the Dart GT has helped matters some, but apparently Auburn Hills doesn't think it's quite enough.
If rumors are to be believed - get that salt ready - a possible solution may be in the works. A report from Allpar is claiming that Dodge is considering fitting a Pentastar V6 into the Dart's engine bay. As the Mopar-obsessed website points out, the critically acclaimed Pentastar is available in three different sizes - 3.0 liters, 3.2 liters and the original 3.6 liters. We don't get the 3.0 here in the US, but the 3.2 can be found in the new Jeep Cherokee and the 3.6 has been seemingly fitted to every model Chrysler can shoehorn it into.

Here's the last Dodge Viper

Thu, Aug 17 2017

The last Dodge Viper has rolled off the line. Ralph Gilles, FCA's Head of Design since April 2015, posted a photo gallery on Instagram with the caption "So long... #Viper." The gallery includes multiple photos of the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, where the Dodge Viper has been built since 1995. In the gallery, we see a yellow unit with black stripes coming down the line, and Gilles is posing in front of it with Dodge/SRT Head of Design Mark Trostle. The yellow Viper is followed by a red car, with nothing else behind it on the line. That red Viper is "the ultimate last one," according to Gilles, adding that the automaker will be holding onto that unit for the company's heritage collection. You can click through the gallery here: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. When asked in the comments if the Viper was discontinued because of low sales, Gilles replied, "Not really as it sold well over the last couple of years at a great mix of mostly ACRs in the last 15 months. It has more to do with a new ejection mitigation regulation airbag that simply won't fit in our package." Despite the solemnity of the post, Gilles is upbeat about the Viper in general, saying "The Gen5 had a great 5 model year run and the Viper platform which has not changed that much over the years had a great 25 year run!" He says he has great memories with the car, and that "they are relatively robust so they will be around making memories for generations to come!" Still, we hope to see something that lives up to the Viper's wild, raw spirit come from FCA in the near future. Stellantis aims to eliminate separate inverter, charger to improve EV efficiency

Fri, Jul 21 2023

Stellantis has announced that, in collaboration with French battery company Saft and French National Center for Scientific Research, has made significant progress in eliminating two major components of an electric vehicle powertrain: the on-board charger and the power inverter for the motor. The company claims that doing this will allow for better space use in vehicles, as well as improvements in efficiency, cost and reliability of components. As a quick primer, also explained in the below video, the on-board charger and power inverter are sort of translators to get the right current to different parts of the electric powertrain. The on-board charger takes AC power from the grid and converts it to DC to charge the batteries. Then when power goes from the batteries to the electric motor, the power inverter converts that DC power back to AC. These components aren't exactly small. Frequently you'll find them packaged somewhere under the hood. What Stellantis and its cohorts have developed, and have been using on a test vehicle since last summer, are small power inverter boards that can be mounted very closely to the battery packs. They can handle both conversion needs, for charging and discharging, instead of needing two separate devices. The most obvious perk to this is that you can do away with those traditional components and free up more space, either for making smaller vehicles without losing interior volume, or adding space to a vehicle that wouldn't have had it otherwise. There's the additional benefit of reduced weight, something that EVs struggle with. Stellantis also claims improvements in efficiency, reliability, and cost, however, it didn't go into detail as to how this setup would do that exactly. We'll try to get in touch with representatives from Stellantis in order to get more information. We're still a ways out from seeing this technology in production Stellantis vehicles. The company said it aims to apply it to vehicles by the end of the decade. Saft is also looking at using it on stationary battery systems as well. So maybe we'll see it on a 2029 Ram 1500 REV, but for now, we'll be living with traditional chargers and inverters. Related Video: Green Alfa Romeo Chrysler Dodge Fiat RAM Technology Electric
