Dodge: Challenger R/t Classic on 2040-cars
Palmer, Texas, United States
This is a fantastic car. I am the original owner and have used it as a secondary fun car since new. The car has always been garaged and covered when not being used. Here are the options the car has in addition to a standard Challenger:R/T Classic GroupFunctional Hood ScoopHID Headlamps20' Aluminum WheelsHeated Front SeatsElectronic Convenience GroupTPMS systemPower Heated MirrorsSound Group II (7 Boston Acoustics w/ Subwoofer & 368-Watt Amplifier)Super Track PackSport SuspensionSport Mode Wheel Mounted Paddle Shifters3.06 Rear Axle RationRemote StartDual White R/T StripesMedia Center 730N CD/DVD/MPS/HDD/NAV (40GB hard drive, 6.5' touchscreen display, GPS navigation, Sirius XM radio) Here are the performance and custom options that the car has: BORLA cat-back performance exhaust - Gives the car that great rumble without attracting undue attention and an HP boost. This system is tuned specifically for this car by BORLA and is supposed to boost horsepower. I believe that it does but I have not had it dyna-tested for precise measurements of how much it boosts HP. MOPAR cold-air intake - I bought this as I wanted a cold-air intake for the performance boost but did not want anything that could even possibly void the Dodge warranty, thus the Dodge MOPAR kit. Also I think it looks better than a lot of the other aftermarket options. MOPAR front strut tower brace - Designed to increase the rigidity of the front framing of the car for better handling on the track. I have never raced or speed run the car on a track nor do I intend to. Honestly I just like the way it looks. HURST shifter plate - The HURST shifter is a kit I ordered and is not a factory option. HURST is an iconic name and I thought the eight ball shifter and chrome plate added a nice touch to the interior. The car has custom floor & trunk mats that match the interior carpeting and have red R/T lettering but the original factory mats will be included with the car purchase as well as the original shifter and shifter plate. The car also comes with a custom car cover THANKS FOR LOOKING!

Are you the Dodge Dart SRT4?
Tue, 08 Jan 2013Dodge has just confirmed that it will be bringing its newest Dart variant, the Dart GT, to Detroit next week, but we're still in the dark about when we'll see a truly hotted-up SRT4 version. But now, by way of the rumormill anyway, we've got at least one proposed, potentially Dodge-based rendering to light our way.
Seen here is what would appear to be a design sketch of the SRT4 Dart. Obviously the image that has surfaced is of rather low-resolution, but there's at least some evidence to support that it may be legitimate. In the original picture, one can just make out the name Tim Doyle in the lower right corner. As it turns out, Tim Doyle's name is also watermarked on the final design image for the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel Black & Tan, a model that was shown at SEMA in 2010.
Of course, even if this really is the work of Doyle, there's nothing to say that this image isn't one of a great many potential looks for the future SRT4. In fact, the departure of the cross-hair grille from the Dodge's nose seems like it could be a hard sell, though we do, naturally, dig the sleek hood scoop and the bulked up wheel/tire combination.
2019 Dodge Charger SRT revealed in spy shots before reveal
Fri, Jun 8 2018Last month, Dodge teased the updated 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and its new grille with air intakes. Now we get to see it before its full debut thanks to these spy shots. We can see that the grille is one of the few things that has changed for the 2019 model year. It also appears to have a new hood that has extractor vents farther back than on the current model. We can also see that this new grille is on an SRT 392 Scat Pack model, not the Hellcat teased a month ago. This seems to imply the grille will be applied to all Charger SRT models, or at least offered as an option. Aside from the grille and the hood, the rest of this new Charger looks like the outgoing version. The bumpers, spoiler, side skirts and lights all seem to be carryover. As such, we're not expecting anything else to change radically under the hood or chassis. There's a possibility one or two engines pick up a few horsepower, but we don't expect much more than that. If anything else changes to the 2019 Charger, it will probably consist of colors, options and maybe even another trim level. We'll know more about it when it makes its official debut this summer. An updated version of the Challenger will be revealed at the same time. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Top torque-to-weight ratios under $100k, $50k and $25k
Tue, 07 Oct 2014Horsepower may steal a lot of headlines, but the always-more-complex torque figure is often a critical one for both the workingman and the motoring playboy. The measure of rotational force represents the twist that can liquefy one's tires or haul one's horse trailer. Good stuff.
It follows then, that as with the horsepower-to-weight list that we assembled for you a few months ago, a list of cars that offer the most pound-feet with the fewest pounds to carry, is an interesting one to break down. Sure, there's a big difference in how the torque is applied from a turbocharged six-cylinder in a Swedish luxury sedan and a massive heavy-duty truck's turbo-diesel. But being the car/stat geeks that we are, we think it's kinda neat that those two vehicles rank near each other where torque and weight intersect.
As with the horsepower list, we've given you figures as pounds per every one pound-foot. Again broken down into broad price categories, we've got a mixed bag of 2014 and 2015 models here, too. Every effort has been made to select the most up-to-date prices and specs, and we've also to omitted some '14 cars that won't be re-upped after the ongoing yearly changeover.
