I'm offering  my 70 T/A challenger for sale. I have a restoration underway and this car I going to be in the way. I will have to store the car if I don't sell it. It is an original sheet metal car without rust. It shows 35,000 miles and that is supposed to be correct according to the former owner who stored t he car for 22 years. It is a beautiful example of the 2149 that was built for trans am racing. There is approximately 900 left. It is in the T/A registry. I have a build sheet and the car retains it's original fender tags. It has one repaint which is DuPont base clear. It has new legendary interior including the dash pad. The original numbers matching 340 six pack has been professionally gone through as well as the carbs which were sent back to Holley for restoration. Everything is original including the hood, spoiler and chin spoilers. This car is extremely nice and has won many shows. I don't drive this car very often, but when I do there are no issues. You get in drive and have a good time. I have never had to work on it. Just have fun with it. I don't have to sell but it doesn't make sense to keep it and pay for storage and insurance while I restore my gtx.  If you want it, contact me and work something out. You may contact me at 573-631-5722. Thx for looking and check out my feedback. Bid with confidence the car that shows up at your door is the car I describe. I've been been burned and I won't do that to you.

GUYS AND GALS, I'm GETTING SOME LOWBALL OFFERS AND THATS JUST NOT GONNA BUY THIS CAR. MY ASKING PRICE IS ALREADY 5- 10K CHEAPER THAN MOST ASK FOR A CAR OF THIS QUALITY. I'm A REASONABLE GUY AN WILL NEGOTIATE SOMEWHAT. I'LL SELL CHEAPER THAN YOU CAN BUY ALMOST ANYWHERE, BUT I WON'T GIVE IT AWAY. IT'S NOT EATING ANYTHING, BUT INSURANCE. I MAY BE WILLING TO CONSIDER A PARTIAL TRADE IF THAT HELPS YOU,BUT THE TRADE MUST BE PRICED RIGHT AND MY TRADING PRICE IS FIRM AT 65K. CASH PRICE IS NATURALLY LOWER. YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER T/A FOR THE MONEY. THX FOR LOOKING

I'VE DECIDED TO CUT HE PRICE ON THIS CAR TO THE BONE. YOU'LL NEVER FIND ANOTHER T/A THIS NICE WITH A NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE AND DOCUMENTATION. THE DEALERS ARE ASKING WAY MORE FOR CARS THAT ARE NOT THIS NICE AND ORIGINAL. I HAVE MORE INVESTED THAN I'M NOW ASKING BUT THE CAR IS JUST SETTING IN THE CORNER OF MY GARAGE AND NOT BEING DRIVEN. I NEED THE SPACE IS THE ONLY REASON I DECIDED TO LOWER THE PRICE.IF YOU HAV ALWAYS WANTED ONE OF THESE RARE INVESTMENT CARS I'M MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO GET IN ONE CHEAP. CLONES ARE THIS PRICE. I'VE SEEN NON NUMBERS CARS BRING THIS AMOUNT. DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY. YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER FIND ANOTHER ONE FOR THIS PRICE. E-MAIL, CALL OR TEXT. THX

How Dodge is making sure dealers don't gouge Demon buyers

Tue, Jun 20 2017

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is a ridiculous 840-horsepower, limited-production machine that we're sure many are eager to purchase. But, they're probably not excited at the prospect of the massive dealer markups that accompany rare, high-performance cars. Fortunately, Dodge is taking steps to make sure buyers aren't paying thousands of dollars extra to get a car early, and its main method is production priority. Dodge announced that cars purchased at or below the MSRP of $86,090 will be the first ones the company builds and delivers. If a dealer sells an allocated car for more than the sticker price, that car won't be built until the high-priority vehicles have been. Dodge will also ensure fair distribution of the 3,000 Demons it will build by limiting the number of orders a dealer can submit. Dealers will be allocated a certain number of cars, and the amount will be based on how many Challenger and Charger Hellcats the dealer has sold. This should also help prevent dealers from hoarding cars and slapping sky-high prices on them. Also, the fact that every Demon comes with a number plate with the buyers' name on it should help prevent dealers from buying cars for the lot to mark up. In addition to revealing these measures, Dodge announced that buyers will be able to submit an order for a Demon at an eligible dealer tomorrow, June 21. The only dealers eligible for Demon ordering are those that have sold more than one Hellcat in the past 12 months. Cars will begin production this summer, and deliveries will begin in the fall. Playing in the snow | 2017 Dodge Challenger GT First Drive

Sat, Jan 28 2017

The previous day was miserable. An icy rain fell over Portland, Maine, coating the pavement and making even walking a chore. Driving a muscle car like the Dodge Challenger seems ill-advised. But this is exactly the weather Dodge hoped for, because we're here to test the new all-wheel-drive 2017 Challenger GT. The morning of our test drive dawns sunny and cold. The remnants of a late January nor'easter now past, we nonetheless steel ourselves for a day of unruly roads. Stepping into an inch of slush, we open the huge door, climb inside, and nestle into the heavily bolstered driver's seat. Immediately comfortable, we know the Challenger well. It's an old friend. Late in life, it's finally finding stability. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Heading onto the Maine turnpike, we're struck by the Challenger's poise. All-wheel drive civilizes the coupe's brutish nature. We confidently navigate the first on-ramp – still wet from the storm – and merge onto the highway. A rear-wheel-drive car would come unsettled here, yet this Challenger's 19-inch wheels wrapped in all-season Michelin rubber are not disturbed. At the very least, the specter of tire spin would have made us overcautious. All-wheel drive doesn't morph the Challenger into a Subaru Outback, but it does make the Mopar a realistic year-round option for buyers north of the Mason-Dixon line. Dodge arrived at this conclusion after some introspection. The Challenger and its sibling the Charger sedan are usually cross-shopped with each other, and design is often the deciding factor. With Charger AWD sales remaining strong (in 17 Northern states at least 50 percent of Chargers are sold with the system), not offering an all-wheel Challenger leaves money on the table. Ben Lyon, Challenger brand manager, says the common refrain was, "I would have bought a Challenger, or I would have bought a two-door muscle coupe, if it was available with all-wheel drive." View 50 Photos Naturally, the Dodges share an AWD system, which has an active transfer case and the ability to disengage the front axle, making the Challenger a rear-wheel-drive car in certain conditions to help save fuel. Ambient temperature, wheel slip, Sport mode, passing situations, and the driver's behavior can trigger the all-wheel capability.

Dodge performance could be electrified, new hybrid transmissions coming

Mon, Jul 8 2019

Dodge is arguably the last company around specializing in old-school muscle cars. Outside of a few models like the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and the new e-Torque offerings in the Ram 1500 and Jeep Wrangler, FCA as a whole seems behind the ball when it comes to green or electrified powertrains. That might change over the next few years, as Tim Kuniskis, head of passenger cars at FCA, told Automotive News that he sees the future of performance to be electrified.  At the reveal of the Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody a few weeks back, Kuniskis said "the absolute future is electrification of these cars." What form this takes or how soon this all might happen is unclear, but changes are likely coming. Kuniskis said the electrified models could be anything from pure battery-electric vehicles to plug-in hybrids to e-axles. FCA’s e-torque system already works with the companyÂ’s Hemi V8 in the Ram 1500, so, if thereÂ’s room in the engine bay, we imagine it would be pretty easy to adapt the mild-hybrid system for other V8-powered vehicles.  One thing to note is that FCA just inked a new deal with ZF. The latter will supply a new 8-speed automatic transmission for longitudinal front-engine cars that will work with both rear and all-wheel drive vehicles. FCA already uses a version of the ZF 8HP automatic, but the big thing to note is that the new transmission has a small electric drive unit built in. If this new transmission is as ubiquitous as the current one, you might find electrified versions of Alfa Romeo and Maserati products as well as those from Dodge, Jeep and Ram. This seems in line with what was announced in last yearÂ’s five-year plan.
