2014 Dodge Challenger R/T 100th Anniversary

This car has the sought after High Octane Red Pearlcoat exterior with the Dark Slate Gray/Molten Lava with Cloud Print Interior.

I purchased this car in late May. It has been stored in a garage and rarely driven. This car is like new. Save some money on this somewhat rare Challenger by buying used. The original window sticker is over $39,000 and the car has every available option except track pack suspension and Harmon Kardon audio, which some say have had issues. The Boston Acoustics system that came in this car sounds amazing. The car only has 1907 miles on it and has been meticulously cared for. I am only selling the car to pursue other interests and don't want to continue making payments. The title is being held by my lender. Buyer can pay me for the car and I will pay it off and have the title transferred or you can make payment directly to my lender through your bank or lender and arrange for the title transfer. Whatever is easiest and most secure for you. I do have the original window sticker as well as the factory build sheets and a commemorative Dodge 100th anniversary book that I will give to the buyer.

Other than the factory options and features, I have added a few tasteful modifications.

These Include:

Factory Challenger SRT8 front lip spoiler

Matte black Challenger SRT8 style rear trunk spoiler (original body colored spoiler included)

Mopar stage 1 springs for a slightly lower and more aggressive looking ride height as well as improved handling (original springs included)

Madico Wincos window film (20% rear, rear quarters, and front strip. 30% front sides)

Front and rear cameras integrated into the factory touch screen with a mygig lockpick which allows for camera controls with the steering wheel radio buttons. (Very handy for backing up and making sure you don't scrape the front end on parking blocks)

Dome, map lights, license plate lights, and trunk lights converted to led's

Sorry for the cell phone pics. I can send more if you need them.

2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat gets a Challenger-style intake in the grille

Wed, May 9 2018

Yesterday, we discovered that Dodge was working on some sort of update to the nose of the Charger Hellcat. Today, Dodge revealed what the change is. It's a new grille with an intake outlet. Basically, the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will have the equivalent of the Challenger Hellcat's intake headlight. But since there isn't a convenient light to cut a hole in, Dodge just put a bigger hole in the grille next to the driver's side headlight. Presumably it leads right to the intake box like the intake on the Challenger. Close examination also reveals that the mesh has changed, as well. The 2019 model's grille has a bit more detail, and the openings are more round than the current model. No other aspects of the updated model have been revealed, but those details should come when the car is fully revealed this summer, along with the new Challenger. Watch these Dodge Demons explode on a Texas drag strip

Thu, Feb 14 2019

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is extremely quick. It can hit 60 mph from a dead stop in less time than it takes to read this sentence thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter V8. That engine makes up to 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque, depending on what octane is running through the fuel lines. That's a ton of power going solely to the rear wheels. So much so that Dodge developed a number of features and a new set of tires specifically for the car. In our time with the Demon, the car took abuse run after run on a drag strip without skipping a beat, but it seems some actual owners aren't quite so lucky. Just take a look at what happened to a few of these cars. You can see the whole car shake and jitter right as the whole rear explodes in front of the tree. It seems the initial shock from the launch — the most taxing bit of any drag run — is what kills the differentials. Catastrophic failure is rarely pretty, but it is neat to see the whole thing occur in slow motion. Three more cars — four stock and one modified in total — suffered similar fates. Not a great look for Dodge or SRT. According to The Drive, a private drag event in Texas drew a number of Demon owners all trying to beat NHRA NHRA Top Fuel racer Leah Pritchett's time in her personal Dodge Demon — 42 stock Demons attended along with five modified cars. While no one managed to match her 9.65-second quarter-mile run, a few owners did dip below 10 seconds. Now, there are a few of caveats we must address. First, with any modified car, you run the risk of breaking something, even with a car that's set up from stock specifically for drag strips. Even a set of tires like the Mickey Thompsons shown in the video above can have an effect on driveline components. Horsepower may be king, but it's torque that's the rear killer. All that torque sends a shock through the car. Adding even more with aftermarket parts increases the risk of something failing. The modified car was apparently pushing out about 1,000 horsepower. That said, four of the five vehicles were stock, so any extra power or torque should theoretically be a non-factor. The drag strip's surface was maintained by a company called Mass Traction. FCA used Mass Traction during the Demon's development, so that too should be a non-factor in the part's failure. It's unclear what exactly caused the failures, though The Drive reports that FCA officials are investigating the matter. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.

Cars.com runs 11-second quarter with Dodge Charger Hellcat

Mon, Jun 1 2015

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and its Challenger sibling are two of the heroes of the modern performance world. With a headline-grabbing 707 horsepower from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, their output even shames many supercars. But how quick can one really cover a quarter mile? Cars.com recently decided to find out by taking a Charger Hellcat to the drag strip to see if the sedan lived up to Dodge's 11-second claims. The results were quite impressive. After 13 quarter-mile runs of adjusting variables like the tire pressures and the car's various electronic aids, the Charger Hellcat managed a pass in 11.03 seconds at 126.61 mph – the pinnacle result of the day. This car was mechanically stock and wore the optional Pirelli P Zero tires. According to Cars.com, other quick sprints reached 11.09 seconds and 11.1 seconds, which even beat the site's 11.41-second best from a Challenger Hellcat last year. Getting the Hellcat's prodigious power down without losing traction was a challenge, even on the summer tires. Cars.com thought it had a run that could have dropped below 11 seconds, but then the wheels spun. Using the factory-recommended pressures, the Charger Hellcat was no still slouch with an 11.27-second time recorded, but taking things down to 25 psi proved the quickest at the strip. We already knew that the Charger Hellcat was a wonderful vehicle for eating up huge gulps of asphalt at high speeds and could verify its 204-mile-per-hour top speed (quite a bit faster, incidentally, than the Ferrari California T's 196 mph top-speed). Apparently, the 11-second quarter-mile claim is just as accurate. Also, for any curious owners, the Cars.com story divulges many of the tweaks required to reach this seriously quick time.
