2012 Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline. First off, this car was in a sideswipe accident and rebuilt. It runs and drives like a new car, but has a salvage title and still needs some body work to look like a new car. If this is an issue for you, please do not bid.

Car had around 10000 miles on it when I purchased it. I put about 2k on it and decided I like my orange 2012 better, so this one needs to go.

Details of repair: I purchased this car as you see it. The dealer I bought it from did all the major repair work. Driver's door was replaced with one from another black 2012, so there is no VIN sticker on the door. A section of front hinge pillar and rocker panel were also welded in from a donor car. I've restored several 70's Mopars and in my opinion, the work was done professionally. A weld is visible on the rocker, near the driver's seat. Driver's side fender is NEW and has been painted to match. It's not perfect and will need buffing. Steering wheel and driver's side curtain airbags were replaced, as well as the seat belts and air bag module. There are NO warning lights lit in the dash while the car is on and running.

About the Redline Model:  To summarize, the RR is everything an R/T is, except the Hemi. The Redline starts as an SXT Plus, which includes the 305 horsepower 3.6L V-6, heated leather seats, fog lights and a Boston Acoustics 6 speaker stereo with a 276 watt amp and Sirius satellite radio capability. Additionally, there are red sport stripes front to back, bigger, stiffer sway bars and shocks, a 3.07:1 rear end (regular SXTs have a 2.65), Sport Mode, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, color-keyed rear spoiler, 20 inch alloy wheels in black chrome and red outline/red background and upgraded throttle and brake pedals.

Sticker price on this car was  $29,670.

I drove this car for a few months and aside from a small rattle in the front, I had zero issues. I just like my other 2012 better.

The bad: Driver's door has some scratches and rub marks, driver's quarter panel has minor dents and scratches. Driver's C-pillar has a dent. The rest of the car is in beautiful condition.

In case you missed it, the car has a SALVAGE title. In NC this stays with the car forever, regardless of how well the car is rebuilt. Please check your state's rules/laws regarding Salvage titles, BEFORE bidding.

Please feel free to ask any questions through ebay's system.

Custom 2014 Dodge Durango R/T proves SEMA can be subtle

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas can often be a sensory overload of overwrought madness, with cars that don't even look drivable anymore. But every once in a while, a modestly modified show car graces our presence, like the customized Dodge Durango you see here, which, in addition to giving us our first glimpse at the aftermarket possibilities for the refreshed-for-2014 model, proves that a car doesn't have to be slammed, scooped, donked and Lambo-doored to have presence.
Sure, this Durango has custom hood inserts, dark 22-inch wheels and custom fender flares, but as far as external modifications go, that's it. Inside, Dodge has fitted new door sill guards, an ambient lighting kit, bright pedals, premium floor mats and - of course - Katzkin leather. The automaker has even added wireless internet connectivity as part of the excellent Uconnect infotainment system.
Performance upgrades are minimal on this Durango R/T, which comes packed with Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Larger brakes have been fitted, as have lowering springs (though it certainly doesn't look that much lower) and a custom exhaust.

South Dakota dealer filled to brim with classic cars

Wed, 12 Mar 2014

Other than the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Mount Rushmore, South Dakota isn't generally a hot topic, but that just means that cool stuff can hide in the open waiting to be discovered. Case in point: the classic car dealer Frankman Motor Company that operates three locations in Sioux Falls, SD.
Unearthed by the folks at Bring a Trailer, Frankman is a treasure trove of vintage, American iron. Their collection is full of the type of vehicles your irresponsible but cool uncle would show up with when you were a kid. Even better, these cars are priced at a level a working man can afford.
If you are lusting about a cruiser then Frankman has a 1956 Cadillac Deville Hard Top Sedan (pictured right) with 82,896 miles for $12,975. It's painted a color called Cascade Grey, but looks more like a pastel purple in pictures. While it needs some repairs to the accessories, the Caddy runs and drives, which is all you really need.

Dodge shows can-do attitude with grand Can'avan sculpture

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

There are lots of ways to celebrate an important birthday, and all of them are well deserved. You can throw a big party, buy yourself something nice, or - if you're the altruistic type - do something for others in need. The latter is how Chrysler has opted to mark the 30th anniversary of its Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
Together with hunger-advocacy organization Canstruction, the Chrysler Foundation has built a full-scale replica of the Grand Caravan out of 30,000 food cans in the square at the corner of Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, a ways down the highway from where the real vans are built in Windsor. The sculpture was built over the course of 10 hours by 30 volunteers and was displayed earlier this week.
Now the installation is being taken down, and the cans of food are being donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which will assemble them into 2,000 food baskets to be distributed to those in need through its network of 200 food banks across the Canadian metropolis. Check out a neat time-lapse video of the build and the press release below.
