Hello you are bidding on a 2011 Dodge Challenger SXT with the 3.6 engine. The car runs and drives. The car has a good radiator,ac condenser and cooling fan. The car sustained damage to the right front area of the vehicle. The impact was to the outside of the frame rail. The vehicle also has good bags. The vehicle will need the following parts right and left fender, hood, radiator core support, grille, right headlight, front bumper cover, right inner liner, small piece of apron that welds to the strut tower on the right front and misc clips and mounting hardware. The car is being sold as is with salvage title. The interior is in great shape. When the car was located at the insurance company's tow in lot there was no key, so the insurance company sold the car not actual miles because they had no key to light the miles up. When we received the car at our location we had the local dealer get us a key and program it. The car started up and ran great and we were able to see the miles. The miles on the car are the actual miles we verified that with the carfax. The parts are available at car-part or on www ebay com. The cars electronic power steering pump is ok. The suspension is ok. The reason the left fender is bad because when the hood was hit it was pushed over into the left fender. Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car is ready to burn rubber at SEMA [w/video]
Wed, 05 Nov 2014The Dodge Charger R/T is all set to rocket down the drag strip in NHRA Funny Car competition with a completely redesigned body debuting at this year's SEMA Show. While only the front decal, side scallops and rear logo really signal this racer as a Charger, that doesn't take away from its promise of hitting absolutely ludicrous speeds.
The engineers' biggest tweak to the body was moving the cockpit further back. This created more clearance under the hood, and the change came with added advantage of giving the driver better visibility out of the car. Composites like Kevlar also helped make the one-piece shell even lighter, while not sacrificing strength.
The new design has already undergone extensive time in the wind tunnel and real-world runs to make sure that none of the changes negatively impacted the aerodynamics. With those tests out of the way, the Charger R/T Funny Car will have the first chance to truly prove itself in NHRA competition at the 2015 Winternationals from February 5-9 at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA.
Dodge Challenger spied exercising supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8
Wed, 23 Oct 2013One of the prime complaints against the Dodge Challenger is that, even in SRT8 guise, its 470 horsepower is responsible for hauling over 4,200 pounds of vehicle. For comparison, the 420 hp in the Ford Mustang GT only has to deal with 3,618 lbs. Things only get worse from there, as the higher-performance variants of both the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro are far more powerful than an SRT8 without adding on much heft.
So what is Chrysler to do? The correct answer is add a whole lot more grunt to its hefty two-door and even the odds. That's where the all-new Hellcat engine comes into play. We reported on this engine in May, and suggested that the Hellcat, a supercharged powerplant based on a 6.4-liter V8, would easily generate 500 to 570 hp and could likely arrive boasting more than 600 ponies.
Chrysler's ace in its sleeve has now been spied testing, with a number of Hellcat-equipped Challengers running the potent new engine both in more urbanized areas and under the sun of Death Valley. The hoods on these testers have been raised to accommodate the engine, and that camouflage over the fascias of these prototypes is there to hide a larger air intake. We also note what appears to be a new split grille under wraps. As for power output, our spies are now suggesting a Viper-equalling 640 hp from the Hellcat-equipped cars.
eBay Find of the Day: Viper Defender from '90s TV show
Fri, 24 May 2013As car lovers, it's always hard to find a good television show with decent cars, but what the 1990s show Viper lacked in acting, scripting and plot, it more than made up for with cool cars. For starters, the lead car was a Dodge Viper RT/10, but, on screen, it was able to morph into its "Defender" mode making it an armored coupe with a full arsenal of weapons.
Fortunately, you don't have to be a fan of the bad show to love its lead car, and if you really want one, a Defender is up for auction right now on eBay. According to the listing, this car is the real deal - not a clone - and it comes with a V8 engine (not sure what happened to the V10?) and plenty of swag and memorbilia. No word on its actual asking price, but with a day left and 42 bids already, the reserve has not been met at $133,400. The listing does add that this same car was listed at Mecum back in 2010, but did not get sold, even with a bid of $270,000.
