This Dodge is a well maintained, accident free and low mileage original owner Northern California based Challenger SRT8 which has not been altered or modified. Since the time of purchase, the car has been garaged and not once driven in the rain. The finish is great and the interior is equally nice. It has lived in a non-smoking environment and received regular maintainance. Holes have not been drilled in the front bumper to accept the license plate.

Details regarding this vehicle's options can be seen in the photo of the original window sticker that appears in the picture section. The window sticker, two sets of keys and a new California Dust Cover are included in the sale.

For the remaining balance, cash (in person) or bank wire transfer will be accepted. The reserve price is very reasonable for a low mileage car in this condition and set for less than $35,500.

I am a private individual and NOT a dealer, who is selling this car to finance and make room for another maxwedge project.

This vehicle is being sold "As-Is/Where-Is" and includes the transferable Dodge factory limited 5 Year/100,000 Mile Powertrain warranty plus an additional transferable bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers much more than the one provided by the factory. This additional warranty runs until 9-20-17 or 52,139 miles, whichever comes first. No other warranties are expressed or implied and all sales are final. Seller reserves the right to end this auction early as this vehicle will be advertised locally for sale.

If a buyer is out of state, he or she is responsible for any shipping/transportation costs, all county, city, and state taxes and fees as well as title/registration fees in the state the vehicle will be registered in.

Challenger A/T Unlimited Concept could be your next Hellcat-powered ORV

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

This past June I spent an excellent day hanging out with Joey Ruiter, driving and discussing his Reboot Buggy project. Before heading home, I let him know that he was more than welcome to keep me abreast of whichever new automotive project he'd get into. You can never have too many car designers and one-off fabricators in your Rolodex, right?
Ruiter recently made good with the follow-up, emailing me with details on this Dodge Challenger A/T Untamed Concept that pushes a lot of hot buttons for the muscle car and off-roading enthusiasts.
This all-terrain Mopar is a lot more than a Challenger body dropped on a truck chassis, too. A materialized version of the A/T would included a completely new, long-travel suspension, skid plates, body armor and rock sliders, and obviously flared fenders to help accommodate a hellacious set of off-road-ready tires. The dramatically revised underpinnings would be topped with a slick graphics package and a killer lower light bar, all making the A/T look quite cohesive in its own, radical way. And the result would be a car no longer limited to mere road-driving.

Mopar '13 Dart is a bruiser of a compact

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

For the fourth year in a row, Mopar is offering a limited-production car decked with a plenty of add-ons and a unique look. This year's black-and-blue car is the Mopar '13 Dart, which was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show with the now-signature paint scheme. Like previous Mopar models, only 500 of the '13 Darts will be built. Past models include the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger and the Mopar '12 300.
The all-black Dart gets a brightly contrasting, offset blue stripe running the full length of the car, and other styling mods like the aero-tuned body kit, gloss black grille, wheels and mirror caps. Curiously, Mopar chose to stick with the Dart's standard headlights rather than the darker, smoked lights. The interior gets a similar black-and-blue treatment, but this unique cabin features a blue leather driver's seat to go along with the black leather seating for the rest of the passengers.
More than just a styling package, the Mopar '13 Dart also gets some performance and handling goodies to complement the Dart's turbocharged 1.4-liter engine, such as upgraded brakes with slotted rotors, a lowered suspension, retuned electric power steering and a "sport-tuned" exhaust system.

How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.
