The Basics,
I have owned this car for 5 years. This 1973 Dodge Challenger has been restored from top to bottom, I have a big
stack of all of the receipts from the build. It has 178 miles on it. I baby this car. It is always garaged. I
don’t drive it in the rain and perform routine maintenance. This Challenger originally came with a 340 and 727
transmission. It was built in Hamtramck MI. There was only 2 other owners before I purchased it and the car has
never had a vinyl top. It has 450 to 500 ft lbs. of torque and 450 to 500 hp. The interior is in great shape no
rips or tears. Rallye hood, bucket seats, console, automatic, power steering, The dash has been refinished with a
genuine leather hand stitched dash. The original dash on this had a dash cover with liquid nails under it. I took
that off sanded it and filled in any cracks sealed it and covered it with genuine leather and hand stitched it. I
removed the torsion bars and replaced the suspension with a Magnum Force Racing suspension and forward strut kit.
It drives nice, is reliable, and has plenty of power and handles great. I’m selling this because of personal
reasons and I have to get something with 4 wheel drive.

2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop glosses over performance

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

The Dodge Dart is a decent little car. It's honest, basic transportation, and many of us at Autoblog are genuinely fond of the Alfa Romeo-based compact sedan. For 2014, not a whole lot changes in the Dart world, save the addition of this new Blacktop edition that makes its debut here at the Detroit Auto Show.
It's all very simple, this Blacktop package, and doesn't actually alter performance in any way. Instead, buyers are treated to blacked-out exterior bits like 18-inch wheels, the crosshair grille and headlamp bezels. Inside, black/tungsten or black/red cloth seats are available, with red contrast stitching throughout the cabin.
Adding the Blacktop pack to your Dart SXT with the Rallye Appearance Group will set you back a scant $295, and while it's just an appearance package, it all looks pretty nice to us.

Will the Chrysler 300 go front-wheel drive?

Tue, May 10 2016

FCA chief executive Sergio Marchionne hinted last week that the strapping rear-wheel-drive Chrysler 300 sedan could go front-wheel drive for its next generation using the underpinnings from the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. Speaking at the Pacifica's production launch in Windsor, ON, Marchionne said, "this plant and this architecture is capable of making the 300 successor, the front-wheel, all-wheel-drive successor," Reuters reported. Perhaps realizing he appeared to be announcing a dramatic shift in product strategy, Marchionne backpedaled in response to a follow-up question, noting only that the Ontario factory is "capable" of making the sedan. "It's capable. It's not a commitment," he said, according to Reuters. The 300 is currently built in Brampton, ON, alongside the mechanically similar Dodge Charger and Challenger. The platform, known as LX in enthusiast circles, is an evolution of Mercedes-based chassis pieces that date to the DaimlerChrysler era. Marchionne's comments didn't cover the Dodges and left a lot open to interpretation. The 300 could switch to front- and all-wheel-drive and focus on a more civilized, elegant ride character, leaving the Charger and two-door Challenger as traditional rear-wheel-drive muscle cars. That strategy would further differentiate the Chrysler and Dodge car lines. Additionally, the Charger's RWD platform makes it a popular police vehicle, and both Dodges are offered in top trim as 707-horsepower Hellcats. Switching to front-wheel drive would seemingly complicate both of those endeavors. Rumors have also swirled that Alfa Romeo could contribute RWD underpinnings for Dodge. eBay Find of the Day: Viper Defender from '90s TV show

Fri, 24 May 2013

As car lovers, it's always hard to find a good television show with decent cars, but what the 1990s show Viper lacked in acting, scripting and plot, it more than made up for with cool cars. For starters, the lead car was a Dodge Viper RT/10, but, on screen, it was able to morph into its "Defender" mode making it an armored coupe with a full arsenal of weapons.
Fortunately, you don't have to be a fan of the bad show to love its lead car, and if you really want one, a Defender is up for auction right now on eBay. According to the listing, this car is the real deal - not a clone - and it comes with a V8 engine (not sure what happened to the V10?) and plenty of swag and memorbilia. No word on its actual asking price, but with a day left and 42 bids already, the reserve has not been met at $133,400. The listing does add that this same car was listed at Mecum back in 2010, but did not get sold, even with a bid of $270,000.
