Pierson, Michigan, United States

This is a 1970 Dodge Challenger that is a true survivor, this car has spent most of its life in California and now resides in Michigan, it still retains its original Hemi orange finish and perfect original black interior, it is optioned with air conditioning, power steering, am radio, console and bucket seats, body side moldings, and hemi orange paint, as you can tell by the pictures the body and underside of this car are in fantastic shape, it is easy to tell it has bean well cared for, you can see all of the factory inspection marks all over the chassis, the part number on the drive shaft is still present, the interior of this car is amazing, the dash pad is perfect, the seats are perfect, the dash pieces all look factory fresh, the wood grain wheel has little wear, the carpet and headliner are original also and look great, somebody sewed up a spot in the headliner at one time on the right side, but still looks good, I put a can of R-12 in the A/C and it kicks on and blows cold, the 318 engine runs great and is the #s matching original, the trans shifts great but has bean replaced at one time, the car has BFG tires with very few miles on them mounted on the factory painted steel wheels and dog dish caps, they have a great look, the body side moldings did a good job keeping the body from being dented up but they do have some damage on them, I have acquired a few good ones to replace the dinged up ones, there is a small spot of corrosion at the bottom of the rear window but it is very small, at some point a mirror was mounted to the top of the RF fender (two small holes) the right front headlamp bezel has a small dent on the leading edge as does the RR quarter molding, under the hood is very original with only maintenance items being replaced (plugs wires, voltage regulator and water valve, belts hoses) this car is a fantastic example of an original 70 challenger. I encourage anybody to come and look at it for yourself, call with any questions Rich 616-262-6219,  I may end the auction early as I have it for sale locally, make offers you may own it, buyer responsible for shipping but I will help where needed. 2000.00 deposit within 24 hrs of auction ending.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

Dodge celebrates centennial with Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

In 1914, the Dodge brothers went from being a parts supplier to a full-scale automaker, and to celebrate the centennial of this milestone, Dodge will offer special editions of the 2014 Charger and Challenger early next year. Both cars will be sold in limited numbers (although no specific number was given), and these cars will stand out thanks to unique touches like 20-inch wheels, 100th anniversary edition logos and the exclusive High Octane Red Pearl Coat paint job (shown above).
The 100th Anniversary Edition package, which runs $2,200 on the 2014 Charger and $2,500 on the 2014 Challenger, comes with red or black leather seats with a cloud print (for a denim-like look) and metal badges on the seatbacks that read "Dodge Est. 1914," while similar logos are also found on the wheel center caps and front fenders. The instrument gauges are unique to each car, with the Charger getting black gauges and the Challenger getting white gauges, and to enunciate the 100-year anniversary, both cars have red numerals on the speedometer for the 100-mile-per-hour mark.
Finishing off the 100th Anniversary Edition cars, which will be offered on V6 and R/T models, Dodge adds a flat-bottom steering wheel and embroidered floor mats as a part of the package. Scroll down for the full press release for these commemorative models.

Mopar '14 teased, returns to Challenger

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

Every year, Mopar selects one special vehicle from the Chrysler portfolio and creates its own, one-off, special edition. Previously, there was the Mopar '13 Dart, '12 300, '11 Charger and the '10 Challenger, and for 2014, this teaser image shows that the company will be giving the unique treatment to Dodge's muscle coupe yet again.
Mopar has not revealed any details about its '14 Challenger, though the brand's president and CEO, Pietro Gorlier, says that "This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance." All we know is, it's white, has some blue stripes, and a black (or carbon fiber) rear spoiler.
We'll know more when the Mopar '14 Challenger is revealed at the SEMA show in early November. In the meantime, click the image above to check out the teaser in high resolution, and have a look below for Chrysler's official press blast.
