Here is a listing for a nice little 35 year old sports car. I bought this vehicle about 6 months ago out of a shed in Florida. Brought it back to life and is ready for a good home. I have listed some before pictures so you can see how much work has been done. She runs and drives good. The five speed shifts well and the motor starts right up. Clena Florida title. Here is a list of what has been restored.

Interior-

New floor pans, carpets, seats, headliner, dash cover, visors, window cranks, all trim panels, shifter and boot, ebrake boot, 1200watt boss audio mp3 stereo w 12"sub

Turn signal and headlight stalks, steering column trim, cig lighter, hood release, pedal kit, door locks that all work with keys. basically the entire interior.

Motor-

Plugs, wires, coil, cold air kit, tstat, radiator hoses, flushed system, cap, heater houses, oil, filter, timing chain looks new(pic) fuel filter, pump. Battery tray.

Brakes-

Master cylinder, front callipers, pads, rear drums have new pistons and springs.

Exterior-

Body kit, Bre spoiler, side skirts, rear bumper detail, front valance, fiberglass hood, side mirrors, All glass removed and new rubber all the way around, wipers, emblems, some of the chrome(drip rails, quarter glass, front windshield chrome and rear hatch glass chrome) rest is original. custom built grill(from fairlady) 4 new 16x8 rota look alike rims. Nexen 225 in rear and 215 potenzas in front(70% life). 1" aluminum  hubcentric spacers all the way around for wider stance and rim offset. Monza exhaust tip. New paint, Eastwood single stage urethane. I give it a B+ looks awesome from 5 feet and even better in pics. Smooth as glass. However the flake pattern is a little off in some spots. not noticable unless your looking for it. I have about 8oz left that i will include for touch ups as needed.

Heres a few other general description items. I have only driven it a few times but here is what I know. Starts first try everytime even cold. Drives straight but at about 45mph there is a slight vibration you can feel in the steering wheel. Maybe just a tire balance issue. The steering is tight with no play. Shifts smoothly through all gears and reverse. However 2nd has a faint buzzing sound initially then goes away. Needs an e brake cable. It worked till a few weeks ago until cable broke at driver side drum. 60$ part. I may just fix it. Headlights high and low beams , tail lights, running lights, brake lights, hazards all work, blinkers are on the "blink", It may be the relay.20$. I replaced all bulbs also. license plate lights work, , map light works, dash lights work, dome does not, Tach, speedo, odometer, clock, oil pressure, battery gadges all work. Fuel gadge does not. Wipers arms and blades are new. The wiper motor comes on with the switch but they dont move without help. Rain X may be the ticket.  I will include 17x11 color wiring diagram and complete Hanes manual. All the glass is original so it does have some wear. There is a small chip in passenger side of windshield low by dash. Not in line of sight. Heater and blower work. Was not equipped with ac. 98% of the rust has been replaced. There is a spot on front cross member and on the inside of passenger side frame tunnel. I couldnt get to it with only a floor jack. Basically it is not a concourse car. It is 35 years old and still needs a few tweeks. If you leave it as is it would still be an awesome Z to have. I have tried to describe this Z to the best of my knowledge. If you have any questions please send them to me. I will also deliver for free within 200 miles of 32137 as I have a flatbed trailer to haul it. After payment ofcourse.

Malaise Era All-Stars

Fri, 17 May 2013

A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

Renault planning a Tata Nano rival. Again.

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

Four years ago, Renault confirmed that it would partner with India's Bajaj Auto to develop a rival to the Tata Nano. At the time, as everyone waited for the Tata Nano to arrive, you could have used a Richter scale to measure the tremors the executive suites of any automaker with an interest in the low end of emerging markets. Then the Nano, still the cheapest car in the world, didn't sell so well - at the end of last year its sales were just six percent of its most conservative projections - and everyone seemed content to let Tata spend the money to figure out if there really was a market for the cheapest car in the world.
Renault believes there is, kind of. Automotive News Europe reports that it will partner with Nissan to build two low-priced cars for emerging markets, one for €3,000 ($3,888 U.S.) and another for €5,000 ($6,400 U.S.). The price of the least expensive offering is nearly $1,400 more than a Nano, which costs $2,500, and that can't be considered a small sum in comparison. But one of the hindsight knocks on the Nano has been that even in emerging markets buyers don't want a car whose biggest lure is that it is cheap; they'd rather give their aspirations a bit more of a workout.
Renault's offerings are scheduled to hit the non-Western market in late 2014, which is coincidentally the same year that will see the return of the budget-minded and emerging-market-specific Datsun nameplate. They'll be built in Renault facilities in Chennai, India, with no mention made of Bajaj this time around.
