This is an Awesome 240Z in super nice low mile original condition. Great all around 4 owner classic Z car, that has been meticulously maintained and loved. Has nice period and modern updates to make it a reliable and fun car to drive. Looks, runs, feels, and drives great. Excellent daily driver or weekend cruiser, show car, or addition to any collection. A true head turner and a blast to drive. The car gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.

Body is straight with no signs of rust or collision damage that I can see. Older repaint presents nicely with minor niks and blemishes. Chrome and moldings are great. Underside is straight and clean. Beautiful true Konig wheels with great tires.

Interior is in great shape as well...  Panels, Carpet, Headliner are in excellent shape. Original dash has only a couple of minor hairline cracks and seats have a couple of seam splits. Nice modern stereo with electric antenna sounds great. Gauges and electronics work properly, except the clock (of course!). Was an AC car... controls and components still in place but compressor was removed... I have a brand new compressor that will come with it.

Motor starts, runs, and idles excellent... very responsive. Headers and custom exhaust sounds awesome and feels extremely strong. Dual webbers work great. 5 Speed trans shifts smooth through the gears. Suspension feels tight and handles excellent. Drives awesome with no wiggles, shimmies, or shakes. Stops straight and sure. Really nice driver.

Overall this is a Fantastic Rust Free classic Z in great condition all around... it is extremely well preserved and maintained. Awesome daily driver or weekend cruiser, or show car. Bought this from a Z collector in California... this is a great car for any Z car enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool, original vintage sports car at a great price. Before I bought the car the the transmission was pulled and rebuilt because of a bearing that made a slight rattle. No problem with the car now. I have owned it for 6 months and driven 2000 miles, stored inside over the winter.

The car is located in Norman Oklahoma.Inspections are welcome and encouraged... serious buyers can text me at 405-887-6922, but no tire kickers please.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

Renault planning a Tata Nano rival. Again.

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

Four years ago, Renault confirmed that it would partner with India's Bajaj Auto to develop a rival to the Tata Nano. At the time, as everyone waited for the Tata Nano to arrive, you could have used a Richter scale to measure the tremors the executive suites of any automaker with an interest in the low end of emerging markets. Then the Nano, still the cheapest car in the world, didn't sell so well - at the end of last year its sales were just six percent of its most conservative projections - and everyone seemed content to let Tata spend the money to figure out if there really was a market for the cheapest car in the world.
Renault believes there is, kind of. Automotive News Europe reports that it will partner with Nissan to build two low-priced cars for emerging markets, one for €3,000 ($3,888 U.S.) and another for €5,000 ($6,400 U.S.). The price of the least expensive offering is nearly $1,400 more than a Nano, which costs $2,500, and that can't be considered a small sum in comparison. But one of the hindsight knocks on the Nano has been that even in emerging markets buyers don't want a car whose biggest lure is that it is cheap; they'd rather give their aspirations a bit more of a workout.
Renault's offerings are scheduled to hit the non-Western market in late 2014, which is coincidentally the same year that will see the return of the budget-minded and emerging-market-specific Datsun nameplate. They'll be built in Renault facilities in Chennai, India, with no mention made of Bajaj this time around.
