This is probably one of the classiest, best looking, best running and cleanest 1977 Datsun Z 's you will ever see listed for sale anywhere.

Everything on this car is in mint condition,  New Struts, New Brakes, New Header Exhaust System, New Mufflers, New Fuel Injectors and New Aluminum Radiator, I could go on.  The inside of the car like Headliner, Carpet, Seats, Doors, Console and Gauges are immaculate.  This Vehicle has an extremely nice Pioneer AM/FM CD Player Radio with a one of a kind sound system, you will never see or hear one like it.  It also has a Radar Detector plus all kinds of extras like manually controlled Fuel Injector Cooling Fan and Engine Cooling Fan.  Take a close look under the Hood, nothing is out of place, Brackets are chromed even the Alternator is chromed.  The color of the car is Silver Grey with very tasteful blue striping, pay close attention to the Wheels and Tires, they are unique and original by themselves, note the Z in the Center of Hub, even the Valve Stems have Chrome Caps with a Z on them.  90% of all the nuts and bolts have been replaced with Allen Head Stainless Steel,  if you want the original Nuts and Bolts I have them also.  As you can see the car is also equipped with the old style Rear Hatchback Window Louvers, plus Air Dam and Headlight Covers.  Take special Notice of the Grille, there is not one single Datsun anywhere with a Grille like this one, yet it can easily be converted back to the original grille if you so desire.  I have known this car since 1978 it was owned by my insurance agent who bought it for his wife; but she didn't like it because it did not have power steering.  He sold it to a friend of mine who didn't drive it and kept it garaged until I bought it from him in 1993.  The mileage on this Datsun is 78,661 it has never been in an accident and has always been parked inside, there is no body rust anywhere on this car.  I have given this car a lot of care representing many hours and lots of dollars, I have enjoyed every minute of it; but it is now time for someone else to have the enjoyment I have experienced.  Also please not that the Clock has a Second Hand and Date, there are not too many, if any 1977 Datsun 280 Z 's out there with that kind of clock.

please be advised this Vehicle is not a California Model, therefore it is not equipped with a Catalytic Converter or an Altitude Compensator.

Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.

Datsun's lackluster initial sales fall below Tata Nano

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

When Tata introduced the Nano back in 2008, everyone was amazed at how cheap it was. They called it a game changer, but no game was changed. In fact, it took Tata five years to sell the 250,000 units it had the capacity to build in a single year. As it turns out, even buyers in what economists call "developing markets" like India aren't necessarily interested in buying an ultra-cheap automobile. And now it appears that Nissan may be falling into the same trap.
A little over a year ago, Nissan revived its old moniker Datsun to serve as a budget brand - similar to what ally Renault did with Dacia. Its lineup (consisting of models like the Go hatchback, Go+ minivan, On-Do sedan and Mi-Do hatch) is largely based on old architecture, packaged with little more than basic equipment and sold at rock-bottom prices. But Bloomberg reports that, even in the brand's core markets like India and Indonesia, the new Datsuns haven't been selling.
According to local industry figures, Datsun has sold fewer than 10,000 units of its $5,100 Go hatchbacks in India since its introduction back in March. Maruti Suzuki, by comparison, sells twice that many of its similarly priced Alto hatchbacks every month. In fact, after peaking in April, Datsun only sold 607 units in India this past July, dipping 77 percent to drop below even the number of Nanos which Tata sold that month.

Datsun debuts new seven-seat Go+ in Indonesia [w/video]

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

The Datsun name may have long since been replaced by Nissan, but the old brand is making a comeback - in certain markets, at least. Nissan relaunched the Datsun brand in July as its new budget brand for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback, and has now followed up with the addition of the larger Go+.
Set to be built in Indonesia at Nissan's plant in Purwakarta, the Go+ debuts today in the capital of Jakarta as the second model in the new Datsun lineup. The seven-passenger minivan features flexible seating in a compact form 13 feet long, powered by an unspecified 1.2-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Nissan isn't saying much else about the model, but hopes the new Datsun twins will account for half of its sales in Indonesia within three years. The low price target for both models - set to come in at less than 100 million rupiah ($8,700) - ought to help it get there. The lineup is then scheduled to reach other markets, starting with India, Russia and South Africa next year.
