I wish I could keep this car, but I recently purchased a new car and no longer have space for this in my garage. I've put a significant amount of energy and financial resources into this car during the time I've owned it and don't want to see it sit outside. Also, these old cars need to be driven to ensure the exhaust system and carbs remain clean. I travel somewhat frequently for work and wish I had more opportunity to drive it so I could keep it around. It's beautiful and catches everyone's eye and invokes memories and comments by almost everyone who encounters it.

Complete body restoration in 2008. The original color was red, which was changed to silver at some point in its life, then changed to metallic orange. Prior to repainting the paint was full stripped and all damage was fixed, including cutting out spots that began to rust on the wheel wells, etc. prior to converting it to metallic orange. During the conversion all rubbers, moldings, glass, etc were removed so that door jams could be converted to the new color (no evidence of the original Red or Silver color).
Rebuilt engine, carbs, etc. In 2012, the 1982, 280 inline 6 cylinder engine was fully rebuilt including twin carbs, hoses, brakes, differential, and fluids. Complete receipt detailing rebuild can be sent for your review upon request.

Datsun previews new budget sedan for Russia [w/video]

Nobody does cars on the cheap quite like the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The former part of the equation already has its Dacia brand of cost-effective, no-frills vehicles that have become a favorite of Top Gear co-host James May, and last summer, the latter revived its Datsun nameplate for a budget brand of its own.
The reborn Datsun launched in India this past July with its Go hatchback, returned in September with the Go+ minivan and revealed the Redi-Go concept just last month. And now it's given us our first look at an upcoming budget sedan developed specifically for the Russian market.
The as-yet unnamed vehicle (which we'll bet will incorporate the word "go" into its nameplate somehow) is set to debut on April 4, where it will launch the Datsun brand in Russia. Few details are available at this point, but the low-cost sedan was designed in Japan to offer Russian drivers "an engaging driving experience, peace of mind ownership and accessibility at the right and transparent price, with a competitive Total Cost of Ownership."

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
