Chrysler T&c Awd Conversion Camper Van on 2040-cars
South Fork, Colorado, United States
I have sadly outgrown my Travel , Festi and home vehicle and
thought she deserved to still be owned by another festi friend . she is a
2001 chrysler town and country AWD mini van that was bought new and
sent to be converted by GTRV out of Canada. GTRV usually only does larger f-150 econoline vans , so be sure to check out their website to see how she was converted . She has a pop up top for bug free ventilation ,storage and sleeping , like a
VW does , a bench seat in the rear with built in storage accessed from the
back and as well by lifting the bench set. That same seat converts to a
full size bed for sleeping .the windows are tinted limo black and also
have black out curtains that go completely around including the front
widow . There is a marine dry cell battery mounted under her that
provides power for interior lighting , so you don't kill your starting
battery ,which is an interstate battery , top of the line . she has been
well cared for , I am the third owner and bought her with 97000 miles, at
maybe 145,000 I has her tranny rebuilt, not because she needed it
,but because I had an awesome mechanic . He also added a heavy duty
tranny cooler per my request... I change the oil every 5000 with
synthetic , she has 2 sets of rims on one set has winter tires the other
summer for easy on off.and a 2 "reese hitch, that i use for a bike rack .She now has 220,000 miles
mostly highway , always driven under the speed limit and her brakes have about
50% , the mechanic has said that for years cause I'm never stopping . All her fluids
have been changed, I do them each year as well , she is located in
Beautiful South Fork Colorado and my be tried , I own her out right and
she is priced at 8900 .pm me if your interested and please feel free to
share with like minded folks . last year I banked 70 nights in her
....She is the Shiz nit of a incognito vehicle going down the road, extra awesome in the snow ....my number
for questions , 818-419-1611. an appointment to see or drive her is possible Thanks for

Junkyard 1983 Dodge Rampage has Franco-American roots
Mon, Jun 20 2016Lee Iacocca and the K-Cars get most of the credit for saving Chrysler after the company's 1979 bailout by the US government, but the success of the Simca-derived Omnirizon platform was a large, if overlooked, component of Chrysler's early-1980s resurgence. The Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon were sold in the United States for the 1978 through 1990 model years, and variants included the 1983-1987 Dodge Charger and the Rampage, this well-worn example of which I spotted in a Denver self-service wrecking yard last week. The early Omnirizons came with a Volkswagen-sourced 1.7-liter engine, but all of the Rampage pickups (and their near-identical Plymouth Scamp siblings) came from the factory with a 2.2-liter K-Car engine making 96 horses. This truck has a 4-speed manual transmission, which would have made it reasonably quick by Malaise Era standards. This one had plenty of body filler and rust, even before the crash that sent it on that final tow-truck ride to this place, so it wouldn't have been worth restoring. Still, we can hope that some of its parts will live on in other L-body trucks. Chrysler touts Pacifica Plug-in minivan's lower emissions
Thu, Jan 12 2017Put the words "Chrysler" and "minivan" together, and the concept of lower greenhouse-gas emissions may not immediately come to mind – especially given today's news about FCA sister brands Ram and Jeep. Among mass-market automakers, Chrysler and its sister companies (namely Dodge and Ram) have long lagged its competitors in fuel economy, with little in the way of drivetrain electrification. Now, though, Fiat Chrysler says it's taking steps to make some green-vehicle progress via its new Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid minivan. Namely, the automaker says the minivan, which can go 33 miles on electric power alone, generates 31 percent less emissions than previous-generation Pacifica, and 24 percent less than the 2017 model-year gas-powered variant. The Pacifica Plug-in, which will be the first hybrid minivan to be sold in the US, has a fuel-economy rating of 84 miles per gallon equivalent, and can go as far as 566 miles on a full tank and full electric charge. That full charge takes about two hours with a 240-volt charger, and 14 hours from a standard, 110-volt outlet. That means that over the lifecycle of the vehicle (estimated at 120,000 miles), the plug-in minivan, which will compete against models such as the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey, may cut emissions by 21 metric tons of carbon dioxide relative to the gas-powered version. That is the equivalent to the annual emissions of about 22 US households, or, as Chrysler put it, 14 commercial flights to Los Angeles from Detroit. Chrysler is pricing the minivan at about $43,000 (or about $35,000 once the $7,500 federal tax credit for plug-in vehicles kicks in) and will start selling the model by the end of March. Fiat Chrysler global HQ lands in London's ultra-posh West End
Thu, 18 Sep 2014It seems Fiat is bent on bolstering its image as a global automaker, as word has leaked out that the Italian/American conglomerate has chosen to locate its global headquarters in a rather swanky neighborhood in London. According to Bloomberg, the rental location on St. James Street in London's West End is a 10-minute walk from Buckingham Palace, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will fill up three complete floors of an office building that also houses The Economist magazine.
As a neutral location between Italy and the United States, the London-based headquarters makes sense, though, at $277 per square foot, this area is said to be the most expensive office space in the world. There's no mention of what FCA has actually agreed to pay for renting the space, but we're certain it isn't coming cheap.
Not surprisingly, Bloomberg also cites research indicating that the largest number of immigrants moving into London from January through August of this year hail from Italy, which makes sense considering the number of Italian executives and workers we'd expect would have to relocate to the UK in order to work at Fiat's new home. The company reportedly plans to be in place in London by the time it holds its next round of board meetings in October.
