1997 Chrysler Sebring Jxi Convertible Red Low Miles Loaded Power Everything Runs on 2040-cars
Austin, Texas, United States
|
This auction is for a red 1997 Chrysler Sebring JXi Convertible 2 door car. The car is in overall fair condition considering it's age, it runs and gets you where you want to go. I have had the vehicle in my posession for the last year and a half and have had no mechanical problems and I drive it daily. The car is not perfect however, it has a lot of cosmetic issues but the good news about that is that cosmetic issues can be fixed or hidden with a replacement cover. Mechanically the car seems alright, again I have not had any trouble. I have driven it out of town (300 miles away) and back and it loves the open road. In "stand still" heavy traffic sometimes I notice that the check engine light sometimes flickers on and off but it goes away. The car does not have any kind of overheating issues during the stand still heavy traffic which is a good thing, I am not too sure what causes that light to flicker on. That is the overall general health of the car. Below I will pin point specs/issues that I see in the car that might interest a potential buyer:
I have tried to cover everything as best as I can, personally looking at the vehicle would be optimal to best form your opinion. This vehicle is being sold "as is" and I am confident you will be happy with the car and that you will find it was a fair purchase from a reputable seller. Shipment: I am open to whatever works best for you on getting it to you. You can pay to have it shipped to you (you would have to set all of that up yourself and payment for that is completely your responsibility). Also you can come get it from Austin, TX. Or if you live close enough we might be able to arrange a "meeting half way" point for a small shipment fee paid to me. Payment: full payment is expected before taking delivery of the vehicle. Only cash or certified funds from your bank. If you are getting it financed, your bank will usually send you with certified funds to exchange for the vehicle. |

Ward's releases 10 Best Interiors list for 2014
Thu, 10 Apr 2014While we're still a ways off from the automotive awards season proper, where things like North American Car and Truck of the Year, Motor Trend's Car of the Year and Car and Driver's Ten Best are named, that doesn't mean there aren't trophies being handed out to deserving automakers. Ward's 10 Best Interiors being one of them.
As the name might imply, the magazine focuses on the very best interior treatments in the US market. Whereas some awards purposely exclude extreme, high-dollar offerings, Ward's considers them - the only requirement is that a vehicle has a "new or significantly redesigned interior."
Ward's offered up the list of winners in simple, alphabetical order, and it only seems fair to do the same:
Chrysler withdraws from UK market
Tue, Mar 17 2015Ford factors big in the British market, as does GM's Vauxhall brand. But one automaker that will be missing from the UK from here on out will be Chrysler, as the latest reports coming in from the British Isles indicate that the American brand is closing up shop. For the past few years, Chrysler has been selling a combination of its own models as well as rebadged Lancias to British customers, but has been having a tough time making a go of it. After just a few short years of lackluster sales, Chrysler UK ceased selling the Delta, and according to Auto Express, is now withdrawing the 300C and Grand Voyager as well. That leaves just the Ypsilon, which will reportedly continue on an on-demand basis if customers ask for it, but even that will end by 2017. The withdrawal of the Chrysler brand from the British market mirrors that of Lancia, under whose name the same models are sold in continental Europe but which is now being confined strictly to Italy, where it will similarly continue to sell the Ypsilon. Of course that doesn't mean that FCA is withdrawing from the British market altogether. The Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Jeep brands will continue being offered in the UK, as will Maserati and Ferrari. Just don't expect to see many wing-badged Chryslers on the high street anymore – not that you would have until now. Last year the Chrysler brand reportedly sold fewer than 2,000 units in the UK, compared to the 10,000+ examples of just the Fiat 500 it moves there every month. Fiat Chrysler, Peugeot owner PSA reportedly in merger talks
Tue, Oct 29 2019Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot owner PSA are in talks to combine in a deal that could create a $50 billion automaker, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, citing sources. The deal could be in the form of an all-stock deal, the report said. Fiat Chrysler shares rose sharply after the report and were up more than 7% in late afternoon trading. Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot had no comment. Investors have speculated for several years that Fiat Chrysler was hunting for a merger partner, encouraged by the rhetoric of the company's late chief executive, Sergio Marchionne. In 2015, Marchionne outlined the case for consolidation of the auto industry, and tried unsuccessfully to interest General Motors in a deal. Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler had discussed a combination earlier this year, before Fiat Chrysler proposed a $35 billion merger with French automaker Renault SA. Fiat Chrysler Chairman John Elkann broke off talks with Renault in June after French government officials intervened, and pushed for Renault to first resolve tensions with its Japanese alliance partner, Nissan. Following the collapse of the Renault merger plan, Fiat Chrysler CEO Mike Manley left the door open for talks with would-be partners, but said the Italian-American automaker could go it alone despite mounting costs to develop electric vehicles and comply with tougher emissions rules in Europe, the United States and China. Peugeot CEO Carlos Tavares dismissed the idea of a combination with Fiat Chrysler during a discussion with reporters at the Frankfurt auto show last month. "We don't need it," Tavares said when asked whether he was still interested in a deal with Fiat Chrysler. Fiat Chrysler has a commercial vehicle partnership with Peugeot.
