You are bidding on a,

2007 Chrysler Pacifica Touring Minivan, 4 Dr.

The Vehicle is in Very Good condition by KBB standards. It would be excellent if not for two small marks. One is on the rear door, left hand side at bumper level and hard to see. The second is on the rear passenger door and may be able to be buffed out. Other than that the paint is excellent and the interior is very clean. No fading, rips, tears, broken or missing parts.

The tires are as follows:

FRONT: EXCELLENT.

REAR: NEW.

AC is very cold with seperate controls for driver and passenger as well as rear AC venting and controls. Its burrrrr.. cold if you wish!

It's equipped with Quad Captain chairs and easy access 3rd row seating. Both seats fold forward as does the 3rd row for transporting large items or just large shopping orders if needed. Unlike most minivans you do not have to remove the seats!

Other features include a Multi-Disc MP3 Player with an AM/FM Sony Stereo system with Steering Wheel control buttons.

For Safety you have Driver and Passenger airbags plus front and rear side airbags. For driving control there are ABS brakes and stability control.

MECHANICAL:  Vehicle has been properly maintained throughout its life and is in excellent running condition. The suspension is tight. The front end is aligned. The brakes are firm and responsive. The engine purrs and she drives smoothly and handles well. All the fluids have been done and she is ready to go and needs nothing at this time.

ACCIDENTS: 1 VERY MINOR FENDER BENDER. INSIGNIFICANT.

OVERALL: You are purchasing a low mileage vehicle that drives excellent, is reliable and appears to have no existing problems that you need to be aware of. Cosmetically she is not perfect and has some marks that you might expect in a vehicle of this age. (I have made reference to them earlier)  She has treated us well and with proper maintenance you sould get years of good, solid, reliable transportation from this vehicle.

Time to catch up with Jay Leno's Garage, including his Lamborghini Espada restoration

Tue, Dec 23 2014

If you're already jealous of the time, effort and money that Jay Leno can devote to his massive car collection, prepare to get a little greener with envy with this latest video from Jay Leno's Garage. Instead of the usual format of discussing a model for about ten minutes and then taking it out for a test drive, this week Leno gives viewers on a tour of over a dozen projects concurrently happening in his stable. The breadth of the vehicles shown and the things being done to them run the entire span of the automotive hobby. At the same time, Jay's shop is working on just a simple restoration of his 1969 Lamborghini Espada (pictured), and at the other side of the building, the team is rebuilding a wood-bodied 1914 Detroit Electric from scratch. He eventually plans to slot a more modern electric drivetrain into it. If bikes are more your interest, there's a freshly completed Brough Superior just waiting for a ride, and if American models are your thing, a Ford Bronco is getting a Coyote V8 installed into it. You have some very specific tastes if you can't watch this clip and start wishing at least one of these vehicles could be in your own garage. Other than the personal projects his mechanics are working on in the shop, Jay gets to have them all, plus plenty more.

Chrysler files for IPO

Tue, 24 Sep 2013

Chrysler has had a lot of owners over the past few years alone, from Daimler to Cerberus to Fiat and the federal government. But it could be poised to gain some more before long. Like, a lot more.
The automaker has just announced that it has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to issue an Initial Public Offering of common stocks. Chrysler hasn't revealed how many shares will be offered and at what price, however the shares in question will not come out of Fiat's approximate 60% majority shareholding but instead out of the 40% minority stock held by the UAW's VEBA retiree healthcare trust. Reports suggest that the IPO, which is being handled by JP Morgan, could encompass approximately 16% of Chrysler stock, initially valued at approximately $100 million.
Lest you think this is all part of Sergio Marchionne's grand plan to consolidate Chrysler and Fiat, the two auto groups over which he presides, think again. The filing, which still needs to be approved by the SEC, comes at the insistence of the UAW. Negotiations between Marchionne's management team and the union over Fiat's acquisition of the VEBA shares have stalled. If they manage to come to an agreement, however, the IPO would likely be taken off the table. So don't go calling your broker just yet, but you can analyze the official announcement below.

Conan releases extended cut of Chrysler's Super Bowl ad

Tue, 04 Feb 2014

Chrysler's latest Super Bowl ad follows in the footsteps of its classic Imported From Detroit spot starring rapper Eminem and Half-Time in America ad starring Clint Eastwood. Featuring Bob Dylan's gravely voice asking, "Is there anything more American... than America?" the spot has been somewhat controversial, thanks to a few lines informing viewers that Germany can brew beer, Switzerland can make watches and Asia can assemble phones. The US, though, will build your car, Dylan tells us. When the ad aired, Shinola-wearing Detroiters simultaneously spit out their Atwater beer over the perceived slight.
Naturally, that controversy has spawned more than a few parodies, one of which comes from Conan O'Brien. Coco expands on the list of things that aren't made in the US, like French water, Danish cheese and Japanese animated, um, adult films. Beyond those examples, there are a number of other things that should be left to countries that aren't the United States. It's a chuckle-worthy parody, so scroll down and have a look, and compare it to the original Super Bowl ad below that.
