1955 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible ~ 300 Clone
This car was cloned into a 300 early in it's life and was driven that way until it was partially disassembled for restoration in the 1980's. The car has sat indoors ever since.
Power windows, locks, and seat.
All convertible top hardware is intact
The body is extremely solid and straight. The trunk floor, pans, doors, fenders, etc. show no visible rust, but there is some in the right outer rocker. The inner rockers are fine.
The car includes the following Chrysler 300 parts ~
'56 354 hemi with dual quad intake, carbs, batwing air cleaner, chrome dimple valve covers (for sold rockers), and the real deal four bolt flange exhaust manifolds. Engine is disassembled but appears to be intact and rebuildable.
'56 TorqueFlite transmission
'55 300/imperial front grill assembly
'55 300 bumpers, trim amd badges
NOS tail light, rechromed bezels
Also included in the sale is a very complete and running 1955 New Yorker Deluxe four door for parts or restoration. Photos attached. I might consider selling these cars separately, but would prefer to do so as a package.
Too much to list and answer, so lets have a conversation and make a deal. I will not separate this package until I have exhausted trying to sell it as a package. I'm in no rush.
I will answer emails and phone calls as quickly and as accurately as possible. Unlimited photos available upon request.
I purchased this car on a whim a few weeks ago because I already owned the '55 four door parts car. Before I even removed the convertible from the trailer I was given the opportunity to purchase a '37 Zephyr coupe from the original owners grand daughter, and obviously need to seize that once in a lifetime opportunity. I also need to focus on my '56 Fury, AAR Cuda, '50 Wayfarer Spotabout Roadster, and max wedge Fury, and Bonneville racer www.fastfourspecial.com

I will be listing several other cars and/or projects over the next few weeks (a few are on my website under wanted/for sale) so stay tuned.

Fiat-Chrysler shows its SEMA lineup
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles already previewed its 2014 SEMA show lineup with some slick renders. Now, the automaker has finally showed us the actual cars, and among the group there are definitely some that stand out more than others.
Dodge is really showing off its muscle at this year's show with four concepts that all pump up the power of the brand's models. Perhaps most interesting among them is the Challenger T/A Concept (pictured above) in striking Sublime Green and matte black. It's meant to resemble the classic Trans Am racer from the '70s. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8, and to fit the vintage style there's a pistol-grip gearshift inside.
The Charger R/T also gets some attention with the Mopar concept that shows off what FCA's aftermarket performance arm can do. Mods include an updated body kit, cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter V8 and a coil-over suspension kit. Beyond that, the Dart R/T Concept looks a lot meaner with a black hood with duct work that leads straight to the air intake. The rest of the compact sedan is dolled up in O-So-Orange paint and is fitted with upgrades to improve handling like a coil-over suspension and big brake kit from the Mopar catalog.
Court ruling to delay Fiat's Chrysler buyout?
Thu, 01 Aug 2013We've already reported on the attempts of Fiat to purchase the remaining 41.5-percent stake in Chrysler, currently owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA healthcare trust. And while the issues still aren't resolved, Fiat has received both a bit of good news and a bit of bad news from a Delaware judge.
The good news is that the court ruled in favor on two key arguments of Fiat's, relating to what is a fair price for the Chrysler shares. The rulings essentially slash half a billion dollars off the price of the 54,000 shares owned by VEBA, according to a report from Reuters.
The bad news is that this makes the UAW an even more difficult opponent in negotiations. Its VEBA fund is meant to cover ever escalating retiree healthcare costs, so naturally, the UAW wants to get as much money as possible. Losing a big chunk of cash isn't likely to make the union more cooperative.
Chrysler 100 hatchback caught cruising around Santa Monica
Thu, 21 Feb 2013A coming hatchback said to be called the Chrysler 100 has been caught on video traipsing around Santa Monica by Autoblog reader Zach Dillman. Still wearing the scrapyard assemblage of Alfa Romeo Giulietta body panels as it was when spy photographers began capturing it last summer, its arrival date is still a question mark: some outlets have reported that it will go on sale this year, others have said it won't be in showrooms until 2016.
In fact, quite a few questions remain. Based on Fiat's Compact US Wide (CUSW) platform that supports the Dodge Dart and expected to be about the same size, the 100 is thought to be a small premium hatchback that will be priced above the Dart and below the Chrysler 200, with the idea that it can challenge the Ford Focus and Hyunda Elantra at the value end and the Buick Verano and Acura ILX at the premium end. Word is that there will be no sedan version.
It looks like there'll be plenty of gewgaws inside, with buttons for Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and a button to toggle the traction control.
