ORIGINAL CAR. ORIGINAL PAINT AND INTERIOR. NO RUST EVER. ALWAYS A SOUTHERN CAR. GARAGED ALL ITS LIFE. TOP IS ABOUT 6 YEARS OLD. RUNS GREAT. STARTS RIGHT UP. SHIFTS SMOOTH. NEW ALTERNATOR, TUNE UP, OILD CHANGE, BELTS, HOSES, AIR CLEANER, BRAKES, HEATHER CONTROL VALVE, ANTI FREEZE. GOOD TIRES WITH MUCH LIFT LEFT ON THEM. WINDOWS AND CONVERTIBLE ALL WORK. AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT WORK.

TRUE MILAGE IS NOT KNOWN. I BOUGHT THIS CAR APROX 15 YEARS AGO WITH 111,000 MILES. DROVE FOR LITTLE WHILE THEN SPEEDOMETER BROKE. INSTALLED A USED SPEEDOMETER, WHICH IS IN CAR NOW. RECENTLY THAT BROKE. SPEEDOMETER IS NOW NOT WORKING. I HAVE HAD ANTIQUE INSURANCE SINCE OWNED. HAVE NOT DRIVEN CAR MUCH. IM NOW ESTEMATING MILAGE TO BE 124K. BUT ESTEMATED HIGH. TRUE MAILAGE MAY BE 118,000. CAR WAS ALWYS MAINTAINED. IVE NEVER TAKEN CAR OUT OIN RAIN OR SNOW. PAINT ISORIGINAL. HOWEVER THE DRIVER DOOR MAY HAVE BEEN REPAINTED AT ONE TIME. PAINT IS GOOD AS IS, BUT FADED IN SOME SPOTS. INTERIOR IS ORIGINAL, IN VERY GOOD CONDITION CONSIDERING ITS AGE. CARPETS ARE ALSO ORIGINAL.

OVERALL, THIS IS A VERY GOOD CAR FOR THE PRICE IM ASKING. CAR IS CURRENTLY REGESTERD. RUNS AND DRIVES VERY WELL. I DON'T SEE ANYTHING THAT WOULD PREVENT IT FROM BEING DRIVEN HOME.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

Court ruling to delay Fiat's Chrysler buyout?

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

We've already reported on the attempts of Fiat to purchase the remaining 41.5-percent stake in Chrysler, currently owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA healthcare trust. And while the issues still aren't resolved, Fiat has received both a bit of good news and a bit of bad news from a Delaware judge.
The good news is that the court ruled in favor on two key arguments of Fiat's, relating to what is a fair price for the Chrysler shares. The rulings essentially slash half a billion dollars off the price of the 54,000 shares owned by VEBA, according to a report from Reuters.
The bad news is that this makes the UAW an even more difficult opponent in negotiations. Its VEBA fund is meant to cover ever escalating retiree healthcare costs, so naturally, the UAW wants to get as much money as possible. Losing a big chunk of cash isn't likely to make the union more cooperative.

Chrysler-Fiat quality chief out after another poor Consumer Reports showing

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Fiat Chrysler has announced a management change following the company's woeful performance in the latest Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability Survey. Of the 28 brands surveyed, FCA's marques occupied the five the seven lowest scores, while Dodge, Ram, Jeep and Fiat were the four lowest scorers.
Doug Betts, FCA's 51-year-old head of quality "left the company to pursue other interests," which, considering the aforementioned paragraph, means he was sacked. According to Automotive News, Betts joined Chrysler in 2007, defecting from Nissan, and, insiders report, had a somewhat tumultuous relationship with new boss Sergio Marchionne.
His replacement is the newly promoted Matthew Lidane (shown at inset), who was formerly VP of systems and components. Lidane has been at Chrysler since 1987 and was previously chief engineer of the Jeep product team as well as the vehicle line boss for the compact US wide platform which (ironically) underpins two of FCA's lowest scoring vehicles, the Dodge Dart and Jeep Cherokee.
