This is the 2007 Crossfire Limited Convertible (Roadster) model with all of the options. It has

accumulated only 70,900 miles which were put on the car by the 2nd original owner) and has the original

“Aero Blue metalic ” paint with a contrasting 2-tone gray leather interior, both in near perfect condition.

Everything about this car is original and it has been maintained religiously…even the original wheels are

nearly perfect! It was sold new locally and driven very sparingly and only in good weather. It is loaded with

features including dual climate control, Infinity stereo system, heated seats, home link system, 6 speed

manual transmission, and a host of other niceties that one wouldn’t expect to find on a small “sports car”!

The Mercedes 3.2L V-6 engine in the car makes it amazingly fast, and its suspension and chassis attributes

make it stick to the road like glue! It is an absolute blast to drive, and it runs, drives, and even looks like a

brand new car! In my opinion, there has never been a finer looking and performing sports car on the road,

and everywhere I go I get questions and compliments about it. This has to be one of the finest examples

available! It even has a custom set of luggage (with the Crossfire logo) that was designed specifically for the

car to take maximum advantage of the limited storage space in the trunk! The car has never been modified,

raced, or abused in any way (as many of these cars have) and it is priced in accordance with Kelly Blue

Book

private party values. You can probably find lower priced examples but the old adage of "you get what you

pay for" definitely applies here!. This is an absolutely "no excuses car"!

The fine print: Despite the remarkable, original condition of this vehicle, it IS a used car and is sold as is

where is with no warranty expressed or implied. Any offer to buy this car will be construed as a commitment

by the person making the offer to complete the purchase. If there are any questions at all about the car,

please ask them before submitting your offers. I will assist any transporter in the loading of the car, but any

necessary transportation costs and arrangements shall be the responsibility of the buyer. Payment for the

car will have to be completed before any delivery takes place

and fund transfer will have to be in the form of bank wire transfer within 3 days of the close of the sale. I will

assist as best I can to make this an easy transaction, but it will be very business-like for both parties

protection. Also, the car is listed for sale in several other venues, so I reserve the right to end this auction at

any time if the car becomes unavailable to our auction on ebay.

FCA compromises with France, moving Renault merger bid forward

Tue, Jun 4 2019

FRANKFURT/PARIS – Renault directors were preparing to review Fiat Chrysler's $35 billion merger offer on Tuesday, after the Italian-American carmaker resolved differences with the French government overnight, three sources said. The compromise on French government influence over a combined FCA-Renault may clear the way for Renault's board to approve a framework agreement beginning the long process of a full merger, unless new issues surface at the meeting. France, Renault's biggest shareholder with a 15% stake, had been pressing for its own guaranteed seat on the new board and an effective veto on CEO appointments. But after late-night talks with FCA Chairman John Elkann, the French government has accepted a compromise that would see it occupy one of four board seats allocated to Renault, balanced by four FCA appointees, the sources said. Renault would also cede one of its two seats on a four-member CEO nominations committee to the French state, they said. Renault, FCA and the French government all declined to comment on the discussions. The same evening that the compromise was was negotiated, activist hedge fund CIAM wrote to the board of Renault to say it "strongly opposed" a planned $35 billion merger with Fiat Chrysler. Calling the deal "opportunistic," the fund said the current deal terms strongly favored Fiat Chrysler and offered no control premium. Autonomous Chrysler Pacficas join Lyft test fleet

Sun, Nov 10 2019

Lyft has another year of building out its autonomous driving program under its belt, and the ride-hailing company has been expanding its testing steadily throughout 2019. The company says that it's now driving four times more miles on a quarterly basis than it was just six months ago, and has roughly 400 people worldwide dedicated to autonomous vehicle technology development. Going into next year, it's also expanding the program by adding a new type of self-driving test car to its fleet: Chrysler's Pacifica hybrid minivan, which is also the platform of choice for Waymo's current generation of self-driving car. The Pacifica makes a lot of sense as a ridesharing vehicle, since it's a perfect passenger car with easy access via the big sliding door and plenty of creature comforts inside. Indeed, Lyft says that it was chosen specifically because of its "size and functionality" and what those offer to the Lyft AV team when it comes to "experiment[ing] with the self-driving rideshare experience. Lyft says it's currently working on building these test vehicles out in order to get them on the road. Lyft's choice of vehicle is likely informed by its existing experience with the Pacificas, which it encountered when it partnered with Waymo starting back in May, with that company's autonomous vehicle pilot program in Phoenix, Arizona. That ongoing partnership, in which Waymo rides are offered on Lyft's ride-hailing network, is providing Lyft with plenty of information about how riders experience self-driving ride-hailing, Lyft says. In addition to Waymo, Lyft is also currently partnering with Aptiv on providing self-driving services commercially to the public through that company's Vegas AV deployment. In addition to adding Pacificas to its fleet alongside the current Ford Fusion test vehicles it has in operation, Lyft is opening a second facility in addition to its Level 5 Engineering Center, the current central hub of its global AV development program. Like the Level 5 Engineering Center, its new dedicated testing facility will be located in Palo Alto, and having the two close together will help "increase the number of tests we run," according to Lyft. The new test site is designed to host intersections, traffic lights, roadway merges, pedestrian pathways and other features of public roads, all reconfigurable to simulate a wide range of real-world driving scenarios.

Junkyard Gem: 1991 Chrysler LeBaron GTC Convertible

Sat, Apr 20 2019

Chrysler's versatile front-wheel-drive K Platform saved the company from certain doom during the early 1980s, then spawned so many derivatives — including the vehicle that started the minivan revolution — that we can't keep track of all of them. One of the original K-cars was the affordably luxurious 1982 Chrysler LeBaron, which evolved into a snazzy convertible later in the decade. The LeBaron disappeared after 1995, replaced by the Sebring and the Cirrus, and I'm seeing fewer and fewer of these cars during my wrecking-yard explorations. Here's a sporty '91 convertible in a Denver-area yard. The top-of-the-line LeBaron convertible in 1991 was, in fact, badged by Maserati and came only with a Mitsubishi V6. That 141-horse engine was the base powerplant for the '91 LeBaron GTC, though an optional 2.5-liter, 152-horsepower straight-four could be purchased for the LeBaron (but not for the TC By Maserati). The "litre" spelling was considered very classy by Detroit during the 1975-2000 period. Whoever bought this car in the first place must have been a bit of a hell-raiser, because here's the 5-speed manual transmission that became increasingly rare in members of the K-Car family as automatics got cheaper. It also has the driver's-side airbag, which meant that those horrible automatic seat belts that ruined early-1990s cars weren't required. The interior has suffered much fading from the Colorado sun, but it started life as an exquisitely 1980s/1990s Bordello Red palace, all done up in pseudo-velour and hard plastic. Not quite 150,000 miles on the clock. 1992 was the last year for the LeBaron's pop-up headlights. That's just as well, because the mechanisms that opened the "eyelids" tended to get flaky as the years went by. ] This content is hosted by a third party.
