This is a exceptionally nice Crossfire Roadster with only 10k miles. An absolute rare find.
The car is exactly what you would expect to find in a vehicle with just over 10,000 miles. It is in very good condition inside and out. The interior is flawless. I purchased several months ago from the original owner who always kept the vehicle inside a heated garage (I have garage kept as well, but the garage was not heated). There are a few very minor door dings on the rear fenders above the tires where the vehicles parked on each side of it in the previous owners garage opened doors against it. The paint is not broken because the other owner always kept a car cover on it as well, even though it was in the garage. The dents are not very noticeable, but I do not like wasting my time going out to view a car and finding it different than represented, and I will not do that to any one else. I have been told that dent doctor could remove these dents. I am going to look into that. Last owner said it has never had any damage, repairs, or any paint work.
The car is very fun to drive. I have another crossfire and they are absolutely awesome cars. I planned to keep this one for a collectors car, but my plans have changed.
The past maintenance has been very meticulous. The car has had about 5 oil changes in 10,000 miles. The previous owner said they recommend changing based on time and miles, so he had it changed each year when he had it inspected. I have the service records since new.
The previous owner had a transferable warrantee which I transferred into my name. It is a little confusing if it can be transferred again. I will look into this. It has about one year left on it. If it is transferrable you are welcome to it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the car.
I have had many convertibles over the years. and this car is by FAR my favorite. The power top system is awesome, as it is all power including lifting the cover to the storage area, and placing the cover back on top once the top is retracted. The finished look is beautiful, and there are no tonneau covers to mess with. with the push of a button, the top is down or back up.
There is a spoiler on the back that lifts when the car reaches 65 MPH, and retracts when you slow down. You can also put it up and down manually if you like.
These cars were built as a joint venture of Mercedes and Chrysler. The drive train is all Mercedes. The sheet metal is Chrysler. They are great cars, with good performance and quality and are very fun to drive.
These cars get a lot of comments from everyone who sees them. I have had cars much more expensive that did not draw nearly the level of attention.
I also believe they will become collectible because there were not too many made and they are so much fun and built with such high quality.
Payment is to be by cash or verifiable certified funds.
Please no scammers. I will be able to see through this. I will not ship, accept funds from obscure foreign countries, or any other crazy ideas. Please do not waste my time or yours.
I can assure you that this car will not disappoint you. I hold the clear title to the car.
If you want a like new fun summer car for a fraction of the price as a new one, this is the car for you.
If you have questions, you may call me at 724-998-7378 if you have questions. Car is for sale locally as well.
Thanks for looking, and good luck.

Question Of The Day: Most overlooked heroic engine?
Wed, Dec 9 2015All of us know that the small-block Chevrolet V8 was a masterpiece of engineering that made the high-performance overhead-valve V8 affordable to the masses, and that the Mercedes-Benz OM617 diesel is basically immortal, and that the Toyota R engine defined what it means for a vehicle to be considered Warlord Grade. The AMC straight-six. The Model T engine. The Volvo Redblock. Those engines get the respect they deserve. But what about the engines that we don't think much about, the ones that worked hard in their millions and somehow missed attaining legend status? The list of engines beloved by their aficionados but not thought of often by the rest of us goes on and on: the Renault Ventoux, Mitsubishi 4G1, MeMZ-968, and so on. But my vote goes to the Chrysler flathead straight-six. This engine was produced starting in 1929 and was still being made for stationary industrial use in the early 1970s. It powered just about every type of Chrysler vehicle made for decades, hauled supplies for all the major Allied armies in World War II, and was even developed into a five-bank, 30-cylinder tank engine. It was simple and reliable and outlived most of its competition, and you rarely hear much about it these days. What's your choice?
Marchionne: Maserati to ‘switch all of its portfolio to electrification’
Tue, Aug 1 2017After 2019, all Maseratis will be electrified, according to FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne. It's part of a larger electrification strategy from FCA as a whole, which intends to have half of its fleet electrified by the end of its five-year plan through 2022, Marchionne said. On an earnings call last week, he said: I'll give you a couple of broad sort of indications of where we are today in terms of the delineation of the post 2018 FCA. The first one and I've mentioned this in passing and other occasions about the fact that there's nothing that will prevent an OEM from engaging in the type of development work that Tesla has done so far. We have been – as you well know, we have been reluctant to embrace that avenue until we saw a clear – a path forward. I think we're now in a position to acknowledge at least one of our brands and in particular Maserati will, when it completes the development of its next two models effectively switch all of its portfolio to electrification. It's especially significant because of FCA's feet-dragging when it comes to offering hybrid and electric vehicles. As it currently stands, Fiat offers the 500e – of which Sergio Marchionne has said "I hope you don't buy it" because the company loses money on them — and Chrysler offers the Pacifica Hybrid minivan, which experienced significant launch delays. While diesel is an important part of the emissions strategy for 2020 standards in Europe, Marchionne said he thinks the current situation leaves diesel in a "weaker state" as a solution. Hence the electrification push. He said, "I think what has really made the issue absolutely mandatory now is the fate of diesel and the fact that it's actually the inclusion of, especially in Europe, of some type of electrification on gas engines is inevitable." In the short term, at least, it will put pressure on prices. Though Marchionne said he's "encouraged" by the direction of battery costs, he said, "I still think that there's going to be a huge increase in prices in 2021, 2022. If effectively the electrification becomes as widespread as people expect, there has to be a shift in pricing." He also says that FCA has no intention of making its own batteries. "Given the level of knowledge and depth of that knowledge that sits with other people in the industry, what right do I have to enter that space? None." We already know what the first two plug-in vehicles from Maserati will likely be. The company plans to launch an all-electric Alfieri in 2020.
Jeep will build old Wranglers next to new ones in Toledo
Mon, Mar 21 2016Jeep made a lot of people happy when it confirmed that the next-generation Wrangler would continue to be built in Toledo, OH. Now, news is breaking about the lengths the automaker will go to in updating its northern Ohio factory. There's good news for Jeep dealers (more Wranglers to sell!), Jeep fans (more JKs to buy!), and Jeep itself (more money to be made!). According to a report from Automotive News, capacity at the factory will be increased to 350,000 units per year. That's around a 50 percent increase over what the Toledo complex can currently manage and is, according to Jeep boss Mike Manley, part of a move to keep production "at the right place" so "supply [stays] just behind demand." The other big news revealed by the AN report focuses on the future of the current Wrangler. Yes, the current JK has a future. It'll continue to be built at the Toledo factory up to six months after it successor arrives in showrooms, a move that's partially down to the way Jeep is shuffling production about. Toledo currently builds the Cherokee on a unibody production line – it'll continue to do so until March of 2017, when production will move to Belvidere, IL. The unibody line in Toledo will then be converted for body-on-frame production, which should take about six months. But during that time, the current JK (likely rebadged as a "Wrangler Classic") will continue to be built alongside another line of next-generation Wranglers, keeping dealers supplied with the today's Wrangler through March of 2018. The two Wranglers will overlap for about six months. This is all very good news if you've been waiting to pull the trigger on today's Wrangler. But move quickly – the clock is officially ticking.
