Check engine light on for oxygen sensor (60 dollar piece) but again runs smooth and good gas mileage. Also needs tie rod ends but drivable as is and AC compressor is bad. None of these issues impedes on drivability. Has outside issues consistent to wear and tear for age such as dings, scratches and faded paint mainly on the roof and hood. Interior is leather and in good shape. Replaced back seat due to previous owner's cigarette mishap. Have extra parts for cosmetics such as matching front bumper and driver side fender."

I have this 1998 Chrysler Concorde LXi for sale. Runs and drives well. Has the 3.2L V6 that gets fantastic gas mileage. I purchased it in February from a local dealership. Cosmetically, it needs help. The paint is faded on the roof, hood, and a couple spots on the trunk. Has a check engine light on calling for an oxygen sensor. This DOES NOT interfere with the drivability as it runs smooth. There is a dent on trunk lid (like this upon purchase) and it does not interfere with the functionality. There's also a dent on the front fender and some chipping on the front fascia. I have a matching front bumper and fender I'll throw in along with a headlight, washer bottle, and blower motor (nothing wrong with original, just safe measure). And the AC is out so I'm assuming the compressor is non-op as it has no belt driving it. The only thing mechanically is wrong are the tie rod ends are starting to show age. The car does have 143k and mileage increases as this is a daily driver and at the moment, everything is ship shape and smooth. The previous owners just did not take care of the car. I have replaced the idler pully (paperwork with a 1 year unlimited mile warranty from CAR-X in Indianapolis in March), output and input speed sensor for the transmission were replaced as well by myself in April. The back seat was replaced due to the previous owner's cigarette mishap with a nicer matching seat.  It is an ugly duckling, but I would trust it on cross country trips even in its current state.

This is a perfect family car, second car, starter car for the high school/college student, or a restore project. Clean title. Local pickup is preferred. May bring to you up to 150 miles for small fee. Payment is cash or certified funds only (will clear it with my bank and yours). No paypal, or checks. Any non-compliance or reneging I will report you immediately. This is the first time doing the ebay thing so I'm learning but I'm no dummy either.  Any questions or concerns please message me. Thank you very much.

FCA denies report it's pulling Chrysler brand from Japan

Mon, Jun 19 2017

TOKYO - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles denied it had decided to pull the plug on the Chrysler brand in Japan, after local media reported it was planning to stop selling the US cars in the country as early as next year following years of poor sales. "Although FCA Japan has already announced its intention to concentrate its resources on the Jeep brand ahead, no decisions have been made regarding (the) Chrysler brand," the automaker said ion Monday. The Nikkei business daily reported that the European-US automaker, which also sells the Jeep, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Abarth brands in Japan, was close to deciding to throw in the towel on the Chrysler brand, which posted sales of less than 300 vehicles in 2016, having fallen steadily since around 2000 and are about a tenth of what they were a decade ago. FCA sells only one Chrysler model in Japan, the full-size 300s sedan, which is sold at the company's Jeep dealerships. FCA's Fiat brand, which includes smaller models, and its Jeep brand have been growing in the country. Last year they sold around 6,700 and 9,400 units, respectively, making them top 10-selling foreign branded vehicles in the Japanese market. However, foreign cars constitute a small portion of the total Japanese auto market, which is dominated by domestic brands. Last year, 295,000 foreign-branded new cars were sold in the country, roughly one-tenth of total new vehicle sales. Reporting by Naomi TajitsuRelated Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Dodge, Jeep and Ram could soon be owned by Chinese automakers

Mon, Aug 14 2017

For the past several years, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has made it widely known that the automaker he helms is up for grabs. First, he sent an email to GM CEO Mary Barra, who immediately refused to even discuss a merger. Later, Marchionne set his sights on Volkswagen. That too was swiftly rebuffed. It seemed like no global automaker was remotely interested in a partnership. Now, Automotive News reports that several Chinese automakers have come calling, only FCA isn't ready to answer. At least not yet. The news broke this morning that a major Chinese automaker had made an offer to purchase FCA for slightly above market value. FCA refused, saying the offer wasn't quite generous enough. It's unclear which automaker made the offer, but Automotive News says there's more than one interested party. FCA representatives have recently traveled to China to meet with Great Wall Motors, while Chinese representatives were seen at FCA corporate headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich. The Chinese government has a lot of money invested in local automakers. It's putting pressure on these automakers to expand globally, including to the United States. As it stands, it's a matter of when a Chinese automaker will start selling cars here, not if. Purchasing an established automaker with a wide range of products and a huge dealer network would do wonders in giving the Chinese a foothold here. Sure, Geely owns Volvo, but a luxury automaker doesn't have nearly as much reach as a more mainstream company like FCA. This seems like the best case scenario for both a Chinese automaker looking to move into the U.S. and for FCA, at least from a business standpoint. The latter doesn't seem to have any other interested parties. It will be interesting to see how FCA would sell a deal like this to the public. We're not sure everyone will be happy with Dodge, Jeep and Ram falling under Chinese ownership. FCA didn't turn down the Chinese because they didn't like the idea. It turned down the offer because there wasn't enough money on the table. Related Video: News Source: Automotive News Earnings/Financials Alfa Romeo Chrysler Dodge Fiat Jeep RAM

FCA UConnect fiasco could set over-the-air updates back years

Fri, Feb 16 2018

Since cars have become more software dependent, most major automakers have been inching toward enabling over-the-air updates to keep vehicle electronics, ranging from infotainment systems to safety features, current. But there are only two car companies — Fiat Chrysler and Ford —± currently doing OTA updates, and on a limited basis. GM CEO Mary Barra announced last summer that the automaker will launch a new EV architecture and infotainment system capable of over-the-air updates "before 2020." The one exception, per usual, is Tesla. Since the release of the Model S almost six years ago, the maverick EV automaker has made routine OTA software updates a core part of its vehicle platforms and value proposition, and has sent out updates for everything from adjusting ride height to enabling Autopilot, largely without incident. When I've asked automakers why they can't do the same thing, I've heard reasons ranging from running afoul of their dealers (and archiac regulation) to security concerns. Automakers like Ford and General Motors say they want to act like tech companies, which routinely send out OTA updates for a wide range of devices, but overall the car industry still moves at a very cautious snail's pace. And when automakers do try to move faster and take more risks — unlike with a smartphone update, which people bitch about but live with — the consequences can be significant when things go wrong. That's the case with Fiat Chrysler America and its recent public-relations nightmare when an OTA update went awry. The update went out at the end of last week for the Uconnect system in late-model vehicles, and it made head units go into a near continuous reboot, which caused owners to not only lose access to entertainment features, but also critical functions like emergency assistance. Almost immediately, owners took to Twitter to express outrage, and FCA was caught flatfooted. A tweet went out on Monday on the UconnectCares Twitter account that read, "Certain 2017 & 2018 Uconnect systems may experience a reboot every 45-60 seconds. Our Engineering teams are investigating the cause and working towards a resolution.
