1997 Chevy Tahoe, 2dr, original owner, 76000 miles, always garaged, victory red with burgundy interior (rare).Viper alarm and remote starter, 1999 tahoe Z71 conversion, 5.7 engine with ATI Procharger (7-9lbs boost),JBA ceramic headers, custom dual exhaust with (2) 40 series flow master mufflers, Hypertech power programmer, Performabuilt level (2) 4L60E transmission , rear axle has a Yukon duragrip posi with 4:56 Yukon gears, front axle is stock with 4:56 Yukon gears. Power stop cross drilled front rotors, 6” Procomp suspension lift, 3” performance accessories body lift( rear bumper modified to fit with body lift, looks perfect), Front and rear bumpers along with the push bar, driving lights and wiring were bought new at dealer using VIN # off a 1999 Z71 Tahoe. The deflecta shield visor, rear spoiler, fender flares and bumpers were all painted to match. Powder coated factory hitch to match the paint. 35x12.5 super swamper SSR tires on 16”Weld forged polished aluminum wheels. Auto meter Trans temp, boost and fuel pressure gauges mounted in driver’s side pillar. The paint is original and beautiful, no dings, rust, dents or scrapes (some very tiny stone chips on front of hood and front bumper from driving it which have always been touched up). Paint looks like a mirror. People still like to argue with me that it’s a new paint job. The interior is flawless and looks like it did new. I recently installed a Kenwood CD player with Bluetooth and Pandora compatible along with a kicker bass box with (2) 10” subs and a 500W alpine amp. This truck has been to the 4 wheel jamboree truck show in Vermont and Pennsylvania along with many NE shows and got multiple awards for best interior, best GM and best full size sport utility. I have detailed under the hood and undercarriage. The truck is meticulously maintained using the best lubricants and cleaners (royal purple, mobil1, mothers, McGuire’s, etc…) never off road or beat on. This truck runs and drives great and will go anywhere. I get looks and thumbs up every time I drive it.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.

National Corvette Museum to recreate sinkhole experience for patrons [UPDATE]

Sun, May 10 2015

UPDATE: The Thunderdome at the National Corvette Museum is not a ride; instead it's an experience that mixes digital graphics and thundering sound. For a brief period, it looked like the National Corvette Museum was going to preserve that sinkhole that ate eight important 'Vettes last year. After all, tourism boomed there afterwards. However, keeping the crater would have been more expensive than just doing the repairs. The museum isn't ready to let people completely forget, though, and now intends to make a major attraction out of a recreated version of the calamity. The museum's plan turns the sinkhole disaster into an amusement park ride called the Thunderdome, according to GM Authority. In a smaller recreation of the Skydome, 15 people at a time would get to watch an imitation of the sinkhole devouring the eight Corvettes. To make the experience even more immersive, visitors would get to view this all from an artificial, underground cave. If you missed seeing the actual pit, this would certainly be a bizarre way to experience it. According to GM Authority, the exhibit would also include an explanation of how sinkholes occur. The Corvette museum reportedly wants the attraction open by this fall.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
