Here we are selling a 2010 Chevy Tahoe Police Package Vehicle. This Tahoe does have a Prior Salvage title, which means that at one point it was marked as salvage, but has since been rebuilt and inspected by the State of Minnesota. There are no liens on this vehicle and we have the title in hand ready to transfer into your name today. This tahoe was damaged when it had just over 3,000 miles on it and it now has just over 10,000 miles. All the repairs were done by a certified and insured body shop and you can't see any evidence of a repair any place. All the paint looks factory new and no signs of a orange peel or runs in the paint. This is as perfect of a repair as you are ever going to find. It runs and drives perfect with no issues what so ever. I don't have any details on the crash itself as we bought this from an insurance company with front end damage. We had the repairs done and had it inspected to get the Prior Salvage/rebuilt title. The tires are Goodyear's and they are in great condition. It has been freshly serviced and had an alignment and everything checks out perfect. The only bad things that I can say about this tahoe is that there are 2 small screw holes in top of the dash where some police equipment was installed. and there are a couple more holes around the plastic in the rear window trim for a rear light bar. There is nothing wrong with buying a salvage title car, however you will always get the car for less money then a clean title car. Usually you can buy that car for about 70-75% of clean title value, however that number can go up or down depending on supply and demand. Clearly a car like this might be a bit more on the high side, and yet a dodge neon with a salvage title might be a bit more on the low side. Warranty, Most auto manufacturers don't stand by the factory warranty with a car has a salvage title, however some still do. So its up to you to contact your local dealership to see if the factory warranty is still active. If you do want to check on the warranty status, all you need to do is call your local GM dealer and give them the vin number to this car and ask them if the warranty is still good. ALL auto manufacturers still do stand by recalls. So if this car is in need of a recall, take it back to the dealership and they will fix the recalled item. On the other hand, if you have any prior accident repair issues with this car with in the first 90 days let us know and we will usually take care of the problem at no charge as long as you bring the car back to us. GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else
Sat, 16 Feb 2013The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.
Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]
Mon, 18 Aug 2014For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered.
