2003 Tahoe LT Vortec V8 super clean, one owner, never wrecked or had any bodywork. This SUV has been DEALER MANTAINED its entire life. This Tahoe is loaded with all the options: leather seats, power windows, locks, seats, mirrors etc. The vehicle is also OnStar capable, has factory Bose sound system, and much more. For a full list of the options please look at the picture of the original sticker sheet from its purchase in 2003. At the time the car was bought for over 41k.
I am selling this Tahoe for a family member of mine and I can say with 100% certainty that this car is in excellent above average condition. This car has been used for commuting on the highway and has 218k miles but shows less wear than most do with half the age and mileage. The only reason my relative is letting it go is because they have several other vehicles that they now drive more often.
Exterior:
The exterior is in above average condition with NO fading or pealing even on the top or hood. The car has never been in an accident and has never needed body work. There are no noticeable scratches or dents, only one tiny ding on the back right corner by the tail light that is hardly worth mentioning.
Interior:
The interior is also in excellent condition. Partly because the seats and dash where covered with sheep skin seat covers almost there whole life. The seat covers where recently removed and the seats are mint. The leather seats have no tears or cracking, and show no fading. There might be a light scratch here or there but they are almost perfect. The carpet has no real stains and the dash and liner are almost flawless as well.
Maintenance:
The car has been dealer maintained its entire life. The automatic transmission was replaced under warrantee around 90k. In the last two years the car has had a ton of dealer called "preventative maintenance" including: new alternator, all new hosed, wires, belts, plugs etc. and also a new AC. Despite the higher millage you could never tell it by opening the hood. There are no leaks and the transmission shifts smooth.
Extras:
The Grill Guard is a top of the line "Ranch Hand" and retails for over $700. It is in excellent condition. Also comes with factory roof rack and tow package.
I can not stress enough how clean this Tahoe is. Anyone who gets this car is going to be more than satisfied with the condition inside and out. The car has been extremely well maintained and taken care of and has a ton of life left in it! Please, if you have any questions feel free to contact me. Thanks

A new report from UC Davis claims that a global expansion of public transit could save 1,700 megatons of carbon dioxide yearly and over $100 trillion by 2050. A "high-shift scenario" would be necessary, wherein governments invest in rail and clean buses, expand biking and walking infrastructure and shift focus away from projects that encourage car use. This shift to public transit would especially be important in the US, China and India. Read more in the press release below.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.
How GM engineers are using diaper 'snow' to keep you warm
Thu, Jan 8 2015Testing how snow affects General Motors' vehicles isn't really a problem right now for the company's engineers, but in the dog days of summer the process isn't exactly easy. The only real option is for them to book time at the automaker's climatic wind tunnel. However, a flash of brilliance from an engineer allows snow to be simulated regardless of the temperature outside, and the discovery is all because of his daughter's wet diaper. The realization came to GM Thermal Systems engineer Nicholas Jahn while he was swimming with his daughter and noticed how her diaper ballooned in size in the water. He found out the substance that makes this possible is called sodium polyacrylate. When the material gets wet it grows and forms fluffy flakes that are a close imitation of snow. Best of all, the stuff can be prepared easily any time of the year, and it's reusable. The engineering team uses the material to test the effectiveness of the heating systems of GM's vehicles. They spread the sodium polyacrylate over the inlets at the base of the windshield to obstruct the airflow and then crank the heater. After some time, they can see how much is being sucked into the system and design more efficient systems in the future. See how the process works in the video above and read about the diaper discovery in GM's press release below. Diapers Change Chevy Cruze Winter Warm-up Time GM validation engineer uses diaper material "snow" to reduce frigid drives 2015-01-06 DETROIT – An item commonly found on an infant's changing table is helping General Motors' engineers simulate snow year round, ensuring heating systems in cars like the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze can quickly and efficiently warm its interior. Packed snow can prevent air from entering the inlet panel at the bottom of the windshield, obstructing the flow of air into the heating system and reducing the amount of air it can push out. This can lead to less efficient warming of the car's interior and windshield defrosting. "The last thing anyone wants to do when it's freezing cold out is scrape their windshield," said Nicholas Jahn, GM Vehicle Thermal Systems engineer. "The testing we perform on the Chevrolet Cruze with the diaper material allows us to maximize the car's heating capabilities." Ironically, Jahn stumbled upon his diaper-based testing method in the middle of summer. During a swim with his daughter, he noticed her diaper multiplied in size when it came into contact with water.
