Selling my 1999 2dr Tahoe, I bought this Tahoe with plans on lowering and fixing it all up but I lost interest and don't really need it anymore since I have other projects going on. The truck has never left me stranded or not started up on me its had a misfire come and go since I bought it and my mechanic told me it could be a dirty fuel filter which I have a new one but don't feel like installing its never really bothered me it comes and goes never cuts off or anything just feel it misfire some times while at idle same reason the check engine light, engine doesn't burn oil, leak oil, smoke, trans shifts smooth no rear end noise, no suspension noise, it does need brakes though. Current Wheels on it are 20" in the front and 22" in the back centerline archers I do recommend getting tires for them, I believe 2 of the wheels have a bit of curb damage but no bends, one wheel is missing a centercap which centerline sells for less then $20 bucks if you call them. I also have a set of 15" chrome Silverado 454ss rims which are pretty rare. They also need tires. It also has a custom exhaust on and it sounds pretty badass. Interior of the truck is pretty clean, dash board has no cracks, drivers side sunvisor has a broken clip up top but the visor doesnt fall down or anything, I will be taking the radio out and replacing it with a factory radio with cd player, im also taking the subs and amp out, No holes drilled from sub and amp install so your not gonna have a bunch of random holes. Drivers seat is power and works, all the gauges and needles work on the cluster, all the hvac controls work same with windows and locks and all switches and lights. Im not sure what happend in the back but one night I had a blow out on the factory wheels and I got the spare tire off which is mounted in the inside in the rear and I dont know what the last owner had done but the whole spare tire and carrier was covered in a thick black glue, I failed to relize this and got the glue every where in the back, The glue can be cleaned but its going to take some time. I took the spare tire carried completly out of the truck but didnt throw it away I still have it.
Exterior of the truck is in good condition also normal dents and scratches here and there, the tailgate is starting to rust on the bottom of the tail gate, im sure it can be repaired I honestly see it on every old style gm truck/suv and im sure the junk yards have millions of them. Rear Bumper also is pitted and rusting other then that no rust of the truck, drivers side handle is cracked been like that ever since I bought it never got worse handles are cheap and easy to replace. Both the mirrors need to be changed, Passenger side has a broken mirror glass that I broke when trying to fix the mirror lol and drivers side seems to have a bad motor or somthing other then that its fine. I changed the headlights and added a billet grill when I got the truck also had 10k hids. The tahoe is really a cool truck and I hate to sell it but I have some other projects I need to finish and I hate to have this thing sitting around with so much potential, People ask me all the time if its a custom made truck because theyve never seen a 2dr its pretty sweet lol. By no means is this truck a show truck but its also not junk with that being said truck is being sold as-is ive done my best to describe it and dont think I missed any thing about the truck. Payment will be due when you pick up the vehicle, if you are getting the vehicle shipped and are paying by cashiers/bank check ill need the payment prior to transport company picking up vehicle as the payment will need to be cleared in my bank account first. Cash is always a good option to haha but no personal checks dont trust them dont accept them. And no you cannot use my tags to take the vehicle to your house you need to bring your own tags I dont care if there not for it you just cant use mine dont ask. You are 100% responsible for shipping charges if transportation is needed. I will work with you no matter what as im the kind of person that goes out of my way to help some one out lol. Dont hesitate to ask me any questions by sending me an email or you can call my cell just ask for my number.
Thanks for viewing Good luck Bidding Researve is set pretty low . Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay slated for Chevrolet lineup
Wed, May 27 2015Long awaited, the race among automakers to keep drivers connected to their smartphones has officially entered a new era. Hyundai said Tuesday it would be the first manufacturer to put Google's Android Auto into a production car, the 2015 Hyundai Sonata sedan. Not to be outdone, General Motors said today it'd offer both Android Auto and Apple's CarPlay on several Chevrolet models set to hit dealerships this summer. By giving car buyers the choice between these rival phone-projection systems, Chevrolet hopes to quell concerns from prospective customers worried about the compatibility of their smartphones and vehicles. "It's about providing choice," said Alicia Boler-Davis, GM's senior vice president for global connected car consumer experience. "No two customers are alike, and we cannot expect a single solution that works for every driver in every situation." Across the industry, automakers are rushing to add both to their cars as a growing base of customers seek an array of connected features. Estimates from automotive technology research firm SBD indicate smartphone-integrated content is available in 36 percent of current vehicles, and the company expects that penetration rate will grow to 84 percent by 2025. For Chevrolet, the systems will be available on select 2016 iterations of the Cruze, Camaro, Volt, Spark and Malibu as early as next month, and appear on 14 Chevy models overall for the 2016 model year. They're available on all trim levels, but they only work with the company's MyLink infotainment package installed in the cars, and the first to hit showrooms will only work on the seven-inch touchscreen models. "CarPlay and Android Auto, these are things that are addressable to the broad market, and I think it makes a lot of sense for GM to put it into Chevys first," IHS Automotive senior analyst Mark Boyadjis said. Via physical connections, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow users access to smartphone features like turn-by-turn directions, phone calls, voice-to-text messages and music streaming. Interfaces are similar to the ones found on the respective smartphones, but on the dashboard, they're redesigned for a simpler, in-car experience. Fonts are larger, for example, and easier to press on a touchscreen. CarPlay relies heavily on Siri so that drivers spend more time staring at the road instead of their touchscreen. That sounds good, at least in theory.
Dodge Challenger outsold Mustang, Camaro in third quarter of 2019
Fri, Oct 4 2019The Dodge Challenger is nearly old enough to start driver's ed in some states, and it doesn't have a firm grasp on the increasingly crucial concept of downsizing, yet it beat the odds to become the most popular American two-door model during the third quarter of 2019. Its ballooning sales figures suggest buyers don't always want the latest, most advanced car they can get their hands on. Dodge sold 18,031 examples of the Challenger during the third quarter of 2019, a shocking 21% increase over the same period in 2018. It's a true muscle car, normally sardined in the same can as the Chevrolet Camaro and the Ford Mustang, a pair of smaller, nimbler two-doors that are much closer to the historic definition of a pony car. Semantics aside, the Mustang finished on the second spot of the sales podium with 16,823 sales, a 12.3% drop compared to the third quarter of 2018, and the Camaro took third with 12,275 sales, a 15% dip that alarmingly comes in the wake of two redesigns. More specific sales figures aren't available. We don't know what percentage of the sales mix V8s represent, or whether buyers prefer manual or automatic transmissions. The scoreboard looks different when we examine 2019's year-to-date figures. The Mustang takes first place with 55,365 sales, followed by the Challenger at 46,699, and the Camaro at 36,791. While the Challenger's recent ascent is encouraging, it can't mask the fact that two-door models no longer enjoy a favorable tailwind, and the entire segment — not just the American entries — is declining. The aforementioned year-to-date figures are down by 10.1, 11, and 7.6 percent, respectively. The third-quarter statistics revealed a handful of other surprises unrelated to the world of performance. Dodge notably sold three examples of the Dart, a sedan it hasn't built since 2016. That's a 93% drop compared to the 45 units that found a home during the third quarter of 2018.
Chevy up to old EVs-equal-range-anxiety tricks in new Volt Olympics ad
Fri, Feb 14 2014General Motors is at it again with a new Chevrolet Volt TV commercial. Viewers of the Winter Olymics (at least in some markets) recently saw a TV ad in between the skating and the skiing that made no mention of the environmental benefits or freedom from the power of Big Oil that electric vehicles provide. No, this one was based on pure survival instinct. In the video, a father is driving down a highway, perhaps through the Mojave Desert. His young son is sitting in the Volt's backseat and asks what happens when the EV's battery runs out. "We'll have to cross that burning desert with snakes and cactus until we make it back to civilization," the dad tells his son as they pass the skeleton of a fallen bull. The fine print makes it clear that the actual maximum range is 342 miles. But there is hope. The father tells his son, with a beaming smile on his face, that the gas generator has kicked in and they're going to make it through the desert. As they wend their way to the horizon, a voice over says that Volt drivers who charge up regularly are making it 900 miles between fill ups. The fine print makes it clear that the actual official maximum range before you need to either plug in or fill up is 342 miles. This theme that emphasized range anxiety has been utilized by GM since the extended range Volt was launched in late 2010, despite the fact that Chevrolet now offers an all-electric vehicle in the Spark EV. Volt fans are praising the commercial, called The New Freedom, on the GM-Volt forum and you can see for yourself below. This content is hosted by a third party.
