HELLO...

IF YOUR'E LOOKING AT THIS AD,YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE TRUCKS. BUT,FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MIGHT NOT,I'LL KEEP IT SHORT.THIS IS A 1999 2DR 2WD TAHOE LS.REAR BARN DOORS. THE LAST YEAR CHEVROLET MADE THESE FULL SIZE SUVs...
THIS TRUCK ONLY HAS 70K ORIGINAL MILES AND IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR A 15 YEAR OLD TRUCK.THE PAINT IN MY OPINION IS AN 8 OUT OF 10. IT DOES HAVE A COUPLE LIGHT SCRATCHES/DINGS BUT,NOTHING HORRIBLE AT ALL.
THE TRUCK'S INTERIOR I WOULD RATE 8 OUT OF 10 AS WELL.THERE ARE NO RIPS OR TEARS.THE CARPET IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THERE MAY BE A COUPLE OF LIGHT,SMALL STAINS.I WILL TRY AND POST THE BEST PICS POSSIBLE. THERE ARE TWO CRACKS ON THE TOP OF THE DASH THAT WERE THERE WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK.
ALL WINDOWS AND DOOR LOCKS WORK CORRECTLY.THE RADIO AND C.D. PLAYER WORKS. THE A/C WORKS FINE AND BLOWS COLD. THE HEAT WORKS WELL BLOW HOT.
A NEW RADIATOR AND THERMOSTAT WERE INSTALLED JUST A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO IN JULY '13.THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 70% TREAD LEFT AND ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. THE TAIL LIGHT LENSES WERE REPLACED DUE TO AGE AND WERE DULL LOOKING.
THERE ARE A COUPLE KNOBS MISSING ON THE RADIO. THEY ARE NOT THE LARGE KNOBS FOR THE VOLUME AND TUNING. THERE ARE THE SMALLER ONES THAT PUSH IN AND OUT THAT ADJUST TREBLE,BASS,FADER ETC.THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS PAN UP/DOWN,BUT NOT LEFT/RIGHT.I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL FULL SIZE SPARE,BUT IS NOT SHOWN IN PICS.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR IS A LITTLE WORN AND HAS SOME TAPE ON IT. THE MIRROR LIGHT AND FLAP STILL WORK FINE.
OVERALL THIS TRUCK IS IN GREAT SHAPE.RUNS GREAT,AND RIDES NICE AND SOLID. NO WEIRD NOISES OR SQUEAKS.
I AM NOT TRYING TO NIT PICK MY TRUCK APART. I TRULY AM JUST TRYING TO BE AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE FOR ANY INTERESTED AND SERIOUS BUYER. THIS TRUCK HONESTLY IS VERY HARD FOR ME TO GET RID OF BUT,THE WIFE SAYS ONE OF MY VEHICLES HAS TO GO,DUE TO ME JUST BUYING A NEW TOY.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A 2DR 2WD TAHOE,YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER ONE AS CLEAN AND IN AS GOOD RUNNING SHAPE AS THIS ONE. AND DEFINITELY NOT WITH THIS LOW MILEAGE AT THE PRICE I'M OFFERING IT AT.THIS TRUCK NEEDS VERY LITTLE COSMETIC WORK TO MAKE IT A 10.
BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TRANSPORT FEES. I AM WILLING TO MEET A TRANSPORTER AND DROP IT OFF FOR PICK UP IN MY CITY IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PICK IT UP PERSONALLY.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE TRUCK.
PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THE TRUCK IF YOU DON'T HAVE FULL INTENTIONS OR THE FUNDS TO BUY THE TRUCK.
THANKS FOR LOOKING.

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.

IIHS gives good ratings to 4 of 8 midsize pickups in crash test

Wed, Sep 6 2017

Versions of the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon Crew Cab earned top ratings in a new crash test of midsize pickup trucks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, while two versions of the Nissan Frontier earned marginal ratings. But the organization gave poor marks to all eight pickups tested for their dim headlights. Overall, four of the eight pickups evaluated earned good ratings for protecting occupants in all five crash test categories — the Tacoma double cab along with crew cab versions of the Colorado, Canyon and Tacoma. But the poor headlights and lack of an automatic emergency braking system blocked any of the pickups from qualifying for the IIHS's Top Safety Pick awards. The study looked at two pickup body styles using 2017 models: crew cabs, which have four full doors and two full rows of seating, and extended cabs, which have two full front doors, two smaller rear doors and compact second-row seats. It subjected each to five tests, and it evaluated the performance of front crash prevention systems and headlights. The Toyota Tacoma crew cab was the only pickup in that class that earned a good rating for structure in the small overlap test, which replicates what happens when a vehicle clips a tree, pole or another vehicle that has crossed the center line. The model's Access Cab extended-cab version was rated similarly, though its structure was rated acceptable. "This group of small pickups performed better in the small overlap front test than many of their larger pickup cousins," says David Zuby, the Institute's executive vice president and chief research officer. "The exception was the Nissan Frontier, which hasn't had a structural redesign since the 2005 model year." The extended-cab versions of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon earned acceptable ratings, while both the Nissan Frontier king-cab and crew-cab models were rated marginal. Toyota says its 2018 Tacoma will feature upgraded headlights and a standard autobraking system that can detect pedestrians. "Headlights are basic but vital safety equipment. Drivers shouldn't have to give up the ability to see the road at night when they choose a small pickup," Zuby said. GM CEO Mary Barra predicts mass electrification will take decades

Tue, Jun 9 2020

General Motors is allocating a substantial amount of money to the development of electric technology, but Mary Barra, the firm's CEO, conceded that battery-powered cars won't fully replace their gasoline-burning counterparts for several decades. She stressed the shift is ongoing, but she hinted it will be slower than many assume. "We believe the transition will happen over time," affirmed Barra on "Leadership Live with David Rubenstein," a talk show aired by Bloomberg Television. She added that not every car will be electric in 2040. "It will happen in a little bit longer period, but it will happen," she told the host. She was presumably talking about the United States market; the situation is markedly different in Europe and in China, where strict government regulations (and even stricter ones on the horizon) are accelerating the shift towards electric cars. On the surface, it doesn't look like General Motors has much invested in electrification; the only battery-powered model it sells in America in 2020 is the Chevrolet Bolt (pictured), which undeniably remains a niche vehicle. Sales totaled 16,418 units in 2019, meaning the Corvette beat it by about 1,500 sales. In comparison, Cadillac sold 35,424 examples of the aging last-generation Escalade during the same time period. And yet, the company isn't giving up. It has numerous electric models in the pipeline including a slightly larger version of the aforementioned Bolt, the much-hyped GMC Hummer pickup, and an electric crossover assigned to the Cadillac brand. These models (and others) will use the Ultium battery technology that General Motors is currently developing. Its engineers are also working on a modular platform capable of underpinning a wide variety of cars. Bringing these innovations to the market is a Herculean task. EVs may not take over for decades, but Barra and her team must believe their 2% market share will increase significantly in the coming years if they're approving these programs. Autonomous technology is even costlier, more complicated, and more time-consuming to develop. Barra nonetheless expects to see the first General Motors-built driverless vehicles on the road by 2025. "I definitely think it will happen within the next five years. Our Cruise team is continuing to develop technology so it's safer than a human driver. I think you'll see it clearly within five years," she said on the same talk show. Her statement is vague but realistic.
