Let me be clear on this Tahoe. I want to straight forward and honest about it. This truck has not been in any accidents, but it did rack up some miles,(190k), before being completely overhauled and customized.

After being in TX most of its life. It made it here to TN, where a guy that worked at a GM dealership bought it. He decided to have everything redone, starting with rebuilding the engine, trans, (added corvette servo's)  rear axle 3.73 added the Posi, suspension,(ball joints,A-arm bushings), custom paint and interior. This took an over all 2yr process, while still keeping it registered.

paint: Is a custom two tone black/tangerine metallic pearl with silver flames with green hand painted pinstriping!!

interior: has everything you could think of Billet/Chrome, custom chrome console, Black leather power seats, black carpet some trim died black, some trim comes in black when ordered, custom dash insert, that lights up about 6 different colors. THIS DASH INSERT SHOWED @ 36K, Also a Viper alarm system with remote start! A custom stereo system, 2 JL Audio 12 inch subs high end mids and highs, two amps, custom sub box. No shortcuts on This install. It doesn't matter if you like rock/country/rap. It will rattle your eyeballs!!!!!

drivetrain: was lowered 4/2 with custom lowering leaf springs, front dropped spindles and springs, GM Performance slotted and vented rotors!, rear firestone airbag for raising the rear for towing. air input located behind the billet gas door, Flow master exhaust with dual exit on the passenger side, due to the air spring.

With all that being said. I have owned this truck for 5yrs and put over 40k miles on it, I  have had no ,major  issues. It showed 46k when I purchased it. I rarely drove it for 4yrs. It now shows 83k, We have been to pigeon forge numerous times, over the great smoky mountains 3 or 4 times, have towed my other car to numerous shows with no issues. It does have some chips and flaws in the paint, and the right front fender has a buckle,(pics will show) where I had hit a pothole, It's not that noticeable and the paint is cracked, and not showing any signs of rusting. I just haven't had the time to repair. I have replaced the shocks, torque converter, trans pan gasket, intake gasket, serpentine belt, idler pulley, rear hatch struts, tailpipes, and two tires, if ever a problem arose I addressed it!!!, tires have 80% of the tread left. . This truck has been a daily  driver for the past 1 an a half. I'm being as straight an honest about this truck. I can't explain. Come buy and take a look before bidding if possible, You will not be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF YOU BID PLAN ON BUYING. NO WARRENTY< AS IS> look at all pics, as too what you see is what you get, winning bidder to make a  Deposit  of $500.00 within 5 days  of auction ending! unless you talk to me!!!!! or deposit will  be non refundeable!!!!!!! pay-pal, (once payment has cleared),cashiers check or cash excepted,!!!!  Call with any questions, I will gladly discuss anything about this truck, 615-557-4864, Thanks and happy bidding!!!!!!

Chevy 'committed to marketing Bolt the right way'

Mon, Nov 2 2015

The 2015 edition of the annual AltCar Expo in Santa Monica, CA in September was a relatively quiet affair. Attendance felt light compared to previous years. But that didn't mean there wasn't something happening that might have just as big an impact on the plug-in scene as anything that's ever happened in previous years at the Santa Monica Convention Center. I say this because of what GM's Shad Balch told me about Chevy's plans to market the upcoming Bolt electric car. This is GM's next-gen electric vehicle, which will have a roughly 200-mile range and may cost about $30,000 after tax incentives (maybe). To say he's excited to start selling this car is an understatement. Set aside the obvious challenge Chevy will have with cars named both the Volt and the Bolt, especially when some languages exchange the pronunciation of the letters B and V. Set aside the fact that, for now, Balch is dealing with his own company actively advertising against the product he's trying to get people excited about. Balch, GM's manager of new product and public policy communications, is tremendously positive about the Bolt's chances in the marketplace when it arrives in 2017 or 2018. "Driving an EV is, in every proof point, better than a gas-powered car, except for charging." - Shad Balch AltCar and the concurrent National Drive Electric Week represented the Bolt's West Coast debut, and Balch told me that the car's arrival in California shows how "Detroit recognized that they need to send it out to their number one market." The car's appearance outside of the Motor City was "The most encouraging part for us out here, being in the market ... to be able to explain that we are committed to marketing this car the right way. ... We're trying to make that known as much as possible, because that is the number one criticism that we hear. That's why events like these are so important, because we can't wrap up into a 30-second spot what these cars are capable of. I can't even explain it to you in 10 minutes what it's like. But the thing is, driving an EV is, in every proof point, better than a gas-powered car, except for charging." Now, there's a fairly decent chance that GM will hit the 250,000-vehicle limit for the $7,500 federal tax incentive right about when the Bolt comes to market, so I had to ask how the Bolt gets marketed if the price tag jumps up a few thousand dollars. Balch was straightforward. "Well, we would sell fewer cars," he said. "It's pure and simple. ...

GM recalls over 323,000 HD pickups because tailgates can open unexpectedly

Tue, Feb 6 2024

General Motors is recalling more than 323,000 heavy-duty pickup trucks in the U.S. because the electronic tailgate release switches can short circuit and open the gates while the vehicles are in park. The recall covers certain Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 trucks from the 2020 through 2024 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says in documents posted on its website Tuesday that water can get into the switches and cause the tailgates to open when in park gear. The agency says that can result in unsecured cargo falling out of the beds, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash. GM is advising owners to check that the tailgate is closed and latched before they drive the trucks. Dealers will replace an exterior touchpad switch. Owners are to be notified by letter starting March 18. GM dealers also have been told to stop selling affected vehicles until repairs are made. The company says in documents that it has 136 complaints about the tailgates opening unexpectedly. GM reported one complaint of a minor injury and three complaints of minor property damage. How Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra will take on the Ford F-150 profit machine

Fri, Aug 10 2018

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — When General Motors engineers were developing the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, some of them joined public tours of Ford's Dearborn, Mich., factory to watch aluminum-bodied F-Series trucks go down the assembly line. The redesign of the Ford F-Series trucks, launched in 2014, set a new standard for fuel economy and lightweight vehicle construction. But armed with stopwatches and trained eyes, the GM engineers believed they saw problems. "They had a real hard time getting those doors to fit," Tim Herrick, the executive chief engineer for GM truck programs, told Reuters. His team did more intelligence gathering. They bought and tore apart Ford F-Series doors sold as repair parts. Their conclusion: GM could cut weight in its trucks for a lower cost using doors made of a combination of aluminum and high-strength steel that could be thinner than standard steel, shaving off kilograms in the process. These pounds-and-pennies decisions will have major implications in the highest-stakes game going in Detroit: dominance in the world's most profitable vehicle market, the gasoline-fueled large pickup segment. What's more, GM is banking on strong sales of overhauled 2019 Silverados and GMC Sierras to fund its push into automated and electric vehicles — a business many investors see as the auto industry's long-term future. The risks are high given the hits automakers have taken from U.S. President Donald Trump's trade policies. Rising aluminum prices spurred by Trump's tariffs are driving up costs on the Ford's F-Series, while rising steel and aluminum prices likewise drag on GM results. GM also has a significant risk should the United States, Mexico and Canada fail to agree on a new NAFTA trade deal, given GM trucks built at its Silao, Mexico, factory could face a 25 percent tariff if NAFTA collapses. Major profit per truck Interviews with GM executives and a tour at its factory here in northwest Indiana provide a detailed look inside GM's plan for the most important vehicles in its global lineup. These big pickups are everything Tesla's Model 3 or Chevy's Bolt electric car is not. The mostly steel body is bolted to the truck's steel frame, rather than the one-piece body and frame electric vehicles. The majority of trucks will have a V-8 gasoline engine powering the rear wheels — like the classic GM cars of the 1950s. Some Silverados will have new four-cylinder engines, but there is no electric or hybrid offering as of now.
