2005 Chevrolet Suburban Ls on 2040-cars
Keller, Texas, United States
Hi, I am not a dealer, this is our personal SUV.
My wife and I are selling our 2005 Chevy Suburban LS. Very nice, very clean inside and out. I did not have it detailed as there is no need. It always looks as if it has been detailed because my wife keeps it that way. The vehicle is always kept under our spacious car port so its never in the sun when parked and always out of the weather. The interior is near spotless and the ride is crisp and extremely quit, no rattles or weird noises. Ride in it and you will understand what quiet is. Cloth seats, power driver seat, power mirrors, power locks, security system with lock unlock, remote start WE ARE NON SMOKERS Well maintained always with Mobil 1 oil changes. Needs nothing. See picture for things recently serviced. Not on the list is a new AC Delco Fuel pump and new windshield washer res tank and both washer pumps since we were already servicing it. That's the way we have always treated our vehicles, if you service anything and you already have its apart, replace all the associated parts while you're there. You will not be dissapointed when you come look at it, its a 9 out of 10 easily. 9 passenger seating, 3 front(console folds down), 3 middle and 3 rear, COLD AC front and rear and excellent heat front and rear. Rear AC and Heat controls Absolutely 0 rust. Just as clean underneath as on the rest of vehicle. Nearly new Bridgestone tires all the way around at a cost of just under 1000 dollars from Discount Tire. Transmission has less than 10K miles and was built by one of GM's best transmission tech's Both drive shaft U joints replaced when trans was done. 5.3L V8 Runs excellent with on the highway miles per gallon 18-20 Has steering wheel controls and all the Driver info for everything from tire pressure monitoring to trip odometer, oil life ect.... More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
Can DARPA hack into a Chevy Impala through OnStar?
Mon, Feb 9 2015An ex-video game wizard named Dan Kaufman tracked a circuitous route to becoming the head of the Software Innovation Division at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. DARPA normally makes these pages because of its work with autonomous vehicles and automobile technology that overlaps with military applications, but for the past five years Kaufman and his multiple research teams have been working on creating unhackable software code that could be used in military drones. Part of that work has involved hacking into just about everything else, and as a segment on 60 Minutes reveals, that includes cars. The masterminds discovered a way to hack into OnStar, the General Motors telematics system. After figuring out how to hook into OnStar's emergency communication system, they overwhelmed it with data. While the computer was busy trying to manage the overrun of data, the research team inserted code that took control of the sedan's other computers, giving it control. So while reporter Leslie Stahl tooled around in a parking lot, a DARPA researcher with a laptop would occasionally take control of the car, like by applying its brakes or, conversely, removing the ability for Stahl to use the brakes. Hacking into vehicles has been in the news for years: Car and Driver ran a feature on the various ways cars could be hacked in 2011, two hackers released a car-hacking code at the hacker-fest Defcon in 2013 and demonstrated how it worked on a Toyota Prius and Ford Escape, and German researchers demonstrated how they could hack into BMW's Connected Drive remote-services system last week via an attack on the cars' telematics units. This isn't about GM or Onstar or the future; hacking into cars of all kinds isn't coming, it's here, and it doesn't take the half-billion-dollar annual budget of a small DARPA division to do it. Check out the 60 Minutes video on the CBS site (you can watch the entire video from a mobile device without logging in). The OnStar hacking starts at 6:45, but it's worth watching what leads up to that. News Source: Jalopnik Chevrolet Safety Technology Infotainment Autonomous Vehicles Videos Sedan hacking 60 minutes
